  1. Now, if there is some actual negative lies being spread then management, from their post, obviously have their finger on the pulse, they can post the truth here any time. It would do them good to have more contact with the fan base anyway.

you don't understand big media and big business. if they resond to clarify everything, the lies will increase and then they'll have an entire office of people clarifying things. and it'll never end.

it's the nature of the beast. lies

  2. We have a tour named "Chinese Democracy tour"..well,it's good but it's not we want.

I don't think all of us are satisfied with a tour without the album.Sounds like 2002 is repeating, and we have really bad stories from that time.Stories that are;cancelled concerts, half empty arenas, angry fans.

I think it's pointless to release the album after the tour..and this tour is a great promotion for Chinese Democracy.But..where is the album?Axl promised CD for this year, and i think he made a mistake.

2007 can really be the year of GNR..there are rumours of a stadium tour in Europe and South America soon,I think they will release the album in february and then,we'll be back to the glorious days again...hopefully.

I recall seeing guns in madison square garden in may 1991 BEFORE the album came out. I also recall many other shows that year before the album came out. including this one

buckethead sucks in my oppinion. anyone fasinated with gore is twisted in my oppinion. anyone who doesn't show their face is a coward in my oppinion.

  3. I totally agree. No matter what you post a bunch of epople will ruin your thread right away. Often you just want to see what other people are thinking about something, that's why you start a thread. Then it takes one dipshit to say something random or stupid and everything is ruined. Than the thread becomes a continuous stupid arguement between a couple of epople instead of what it was set out to be. That is definately veryirritating at times.

The only way to have a fighting CHANCE with these fucks is to change your user identity every so often and never take on any 'personal' aspect to it. i've been doing it for a while now, but not for malicious purposes or to make statements that support the posting name of a previous identity.

it's tough for the moderators too. they actually have rules like 'must be on topic to original post in thread' and 'posts must make sense.' but there's so many of these fuckers that they don't have the time/money to moderate this place the way it needs to be.

Good post, I'll see you later as someone else :)

  4. You get the same shit. There are a large amount of you guys who post here to disparage the band and spend more time bashing them than talking about what you like about them. We all know they have done some stupid shit over the years, but everyone already knows about that shit and doesn't need to be reminded everyday on MyGNRForum or HTGTH.

This isn't a hit on this message board, because I really like this message board. It is well organized, the mod's are good, and there are some cool people here for sure. But there are way too many cynics, who not only post mean shit about bands they love, including but not limited to GNR, but they also post the mean and negative shit to every post left here.

If someone new has a few questions about the board or the band, chill out and help them out instead of trying to make fun of them. They just want some info on GNR like everyong else here. And when someone posts a story or rumour that has already been posted, don't rip on them, they are just trying to do their part to bring up to date info to this forum.

This shit is just a tendency of all people. People tend to focus more on the negative aspects of things that the positive. There aren't enough thread's created to discuss the great things this band has accomplished over the years. I find there are much more on "why Axl's haircut is so gay", "how everything is going to self destruct soon for GNR", and "how they are never going to release the album". Just fuckin' chill out about all that shit and try discussing why "the last great Rock and Roll band" is so great for a change.

I like this forum a lot, I can't emphasize that enough...so I really hope this doesn;t get deleted right away :). I just think the negativity here is overwhelming and need's to be discussed.

My only message here is think before you post. It only takes a second. Just think to yourself, "do I feel like engaging in a conversation about my favorite band today, or do I feel like being a pessimist?". What do the rest of you guys think?

there is a deeper problem here that no one (even mods at ALL bb's) wants to address. someone wants to spread lies and disinfo about guns

    lies.jpg

this is a MOST UNUSUAL SITUATION that most other bands don't have to deal with. and axl has known about it all along

    lies.jpg

but since everyone at ALL of the bb's ends up so concerned about defending guns or afraid to post because of the lying negative fuckers, you'll never get to the bottom of the deeper issue until, well, nevermind

here's what will happen to YOUR great thread here at this bb. 10 fukcers will first attack you IN this thread. then 10 fuckers will start new threads and/or respond in 10 others that will make your great post die. it's REALLY REALLY easy.

  5. So basically....if we read between the lines as you imply we should. Axl and gang were threatened by these 2 faceless fuck marshalls, of riots and the like and a repeat nightmare of the past? So this was the path of least resistance? To cancel?

Makes sense. I don't blame them. I see.

it's not even really reading BTL, he said it. the only reading BTL is that he names the fuckers who wanted a riot that night. but he did it using two seperate press releases. and you can be damn sure that most of what went on in those meetings was documented to show that they were being treated differently than other similar acts that played there. and Merck will likely sue for the $200,000 dollar loss.

  6. this has been posted before... and what does it have to do with a riot?

"The professionals around me felt that Portland was a potentially explosive situation that could have had a somewhat similar result "

that's what...they thought it might turn into a riot for some unknown reason...or maybe the two fire marshals were going to start a riot?

I got where Axl makes reference to a possible riot...but I don't know why..

thanks 3rdwheel. but that's what's so sad about everything. you shoudln't have HAD to explain that. i really would like to know the age of every poster so i have an idea what the fuck is going on here at this bb.

maybe we (positive posters who can also retain text from official news stories in our fucking brains) should have a heavily moderated forum where these 3 groups of people aren't allowed to post...

stupid posters (can't retain info in brains from official news stories)

    liars

negative idiots who need medication (people who worry about 3,500 tickets sold in a soft market or worrying about no release date even though Merck said it might just appear on the shelf)

actually there is a rule here "posts must make sense". so really every post that contradicts official word from a news story should be deleted. hmmm, maybe we should be asking why they're NOT being deleted.

  7. That's why Gn'R management put two faces on it, Nelson Collins and Bob Cadigan

Can YOU read between the lines?

    1. The show in Portland was cancelled last night because the fire marshall made it impossible for us to believe we could do our show without putting at risk the safety of the fans and the band. They made it clear that they intended to harrass our fans, crew and the band through enforcing rules and regulations that are 200 years old to an extent that has not been applied to other artists and that we believed would make the gig a potential time bomb that would explode. Our Production Manager Chris Gratton is a seasoned pro who has worked with everyone from Korn to R Kelley and has terrific relationships with Fire Marshalls and authorities all over the world. This is the first time he has ever come to us and said this is a dangerous situation and these people intend to use their authority in a negative way against our fans, our band and our crew and I need you to do something about it.

edit----- i forgot this part too

(Axl) There are reasons that I have not spoken more about Montreal and Philadelphia that have been extremely complicated and are not legally resolved behind the scenes to this day and could have possibly jeopardized the future of Guns N' Roses.

We have chosen to take the public heat for these events in order to have another shot at the future today with a new album.

The professionals around me felt that Portland was a potentially explosive situation that could have had a somewhat similar result based on the behaviour of the two aforementioned fire marshals (it's not my 1st barbeque!) had the fans been given entry to the building and the show started.

  8. If people didn't come to forums and speculate, who do you think would have been talking about this band for the past decade or so? I'm tired of you wankers saying "stop speculating, we'll know when we know' what the fuck do you think a forum is for? There would be very little traffic here if there was no speculation. speculation is what keeps us entertained during the famine of any music from the band.

Now, if there is some actual negative lies being spread then management, from their post, obviously have their finger on the pulse, they can post the truth here any time. It would do them good to have more contact with the fan base anyway.

when someone lies about how many seats are sold (3,000) that's not speculation. that's damaging to a business. but you'd have to know about business to understand that.

I see a number of people flaming Jarmo and the moderators for removing posts at our request. I understand that you feel that we are using our influence to censor you. We are not. If someone wants to express their opinion or critique the band and its performances, recordings, actions etc that does not bother us but when you spread lies and disinformation about everything from ticket sales to release dates to how Pollstar calculates their chart, we will use our relationship with Jarmo to shut you down because you cause chaos and confusion and you try to take something good and turn it into something ugly.

  9. I like reading your posts Kaneda, they are always interesting. However the negativity you have regarding a band that you obviously listen to or even like is a bit overboard dont you think? I mean you obviously get the attention you crave from this forum, is it that you actually want someone from the GNRs camp to acknowledge you is some way..will this make you feel complete?

people here are lying on purpose. two nights ago i said the 3,000 number was a lie. and i still think it is.

  11. first watch this and listen to what he says

1- Fire Marshall fault? Its GNR Camp duty to have everything settled, days before playing in each venue. Like maximum capacity in a venue, fireworks limitations, alcohol limitation, etc. Its GNR Camp fault NOT KNOWING this in advance.

wrong. they HAD that in order when the local production crew knew that other bands with the same equipment had no problem playing there. READ PRESS RELEASE.

2- Like someone said: "Pyro's is no f*ing excuse. I was just there 2 weeks ago for Godsmack. they had big pyros. Motley Crue last year? Big Pyros. I don't know what happened, but it wasn't the freakin' pyros". It's not that the fire marshall over there HATES AXL, so he prohibites GNR using pyro. NO! Its not like everyone in this world is against YOU AXL.

see my comment above. maybe they DO hate axl. there's alot of christian psychophants out there.

3- For the fans? Are you kidding me? Are you serious? I think most of the fans prefer watching a show without pyros (and maybe knowing the reason why there are no pyros), than no having a show AT ALL!! Or take one more day off and travel to another city to see a show with that includes the "all mighty unreplaceble" pyro.

your oppinion. i've seen the 2006 show over 8 times and i couldn't IMAGINE it without the pyros. still, it's his art and his choice.

4- Were is the rock n roll man? Stop the bitching and do the fuckin show without any pyro and just say "fuck the fire marshall, that asshole didnt want us to do the freakin show, well here we are fucker!!". Its more a diva attitude than a rockstar attitude to cancel a concert cuz of this.

    see art coment above.

5- Cant you go just make an accoustic set instead? Like a more intimate concert? What in the world stopped you from doing that? It would be a more fuckin special show than those who have the normal set with pyro.

see YOUR OWN NUMBER 4 ABOVE 'where's the rock n' roll man?'

just as many whiners like you would be whining about wanting a 'rock' show..... INCLUDING YOU!

5- Fuck it, this is fuckin horrible to the tour, less people are now, willing to go to a GNR show cuz of this. NORMAL fans just doesnt appreciate this stuff.

your oppinion. reality is, that was a small town and a small venue and this affects the tour MUCH less than cancelling jacksonville and nashville, but everything went GREAT after that. GOOD JOB SO FAR AXL!

read the press release one more time... shit, THREE more times since your reading comprehension and attention span is obviously that of a 10 year old. and watch this again

  12. It's beginning to unravel again...can anyone else sense the end?

Axl is going to self destruct...his ego can't take this much longe

you just HAD to get as much of your negetivity in the title and subtitle of your post for the people who try to ignore you.

good job doing that i guess

  13. I think they should make a great concert, even without the pyro..sounded like a big excuse.

If the venue had only 3,000 people..those people should be respected, they went to the fuckin' place to see GNR and paid for it.

There's a shit promotion for this tour, that's not the fans' fault.

Well,I really expect that this tour will be sucessful in the end.And hope for an announcement till the end of this week.

3,000 was probably an afternoon number. many, many people go to concerts at the last minute. the place would have been 75% full imo

    Quit holding on to that.

Same day sales NEVER outnumber pre day sales.

I've gone to MANY concerts at the last minute that had 'a few thousand tickets left,' and many of them sold out just after I got there early to get MY tickets.

but i know the number ratios you're talking about, and i'm just saying that there could have been 5,000 people there. they also sometimes saturate the radio with ads on the day of the show if sales are slacking.

The only seat tickets left on ticket master were in the back corners high up in the arena...

Maybe there were a ton of pits tickets left?

that's what bugs me. there's so many axl haters on the net, where did this 3,000 number come from anyway? it's probably an old number. and last i checked, businesses don't just offer that info to any tom, dick or harry. every show has this 'oh no, bad sales.' then we get the fans reporting back with phrases like 'nicely full.'

  14. Where is the press release explaining the cancellation/postponement of the Nashville show? Not trying to be a dick here, I really just want to see GnR. I still haven't refunded my tickets yet and am hoping for a reschedule date soon. Do you have any info on this?

there isn't an explanation. scheduling is difficult at this point, but they'll make it up, just like JAX

the explanation is simple though. there WAS the official word in Del's collumn about guns going back into the studio during that down time. considering that the first two shows of the tour were cancelled while or after the studio time, it was probably studio related. i'd bet the farm on it.

but just think, your show was sacrificed for bf and frank to be on the album! SO IT'S ALL GOOD!

  15. I think they should make a great concert, even without the pyro..sounded like a big excuse.

If the venue had only 3,000 people..those people should be respected, they went to the fuckin' place to see GNR and paid for it.

3,000 was probably an afternoon number. many, many people go to concerts at the last minute. the place would have been 75% full imo

  16. i think the obvious, logical truth probably goes like this:

the fire marshall people took exception to the pyro/something else (see below)

axl/gnr management got in an arguement with them about it, and it got heated (no pun intended!)

finally, axl being axl, said "fuck this. we're half capacity anyway. let's cyphen some of these fans into the next undersold show, and refund whoever doesnt wanna do that. that gets these dickheads out of my face, gives me a night off, and insures i'll play for more people tomorrow."

the truth is prolly somewhere between the official statement and the fact that the venue was undersold.

also, just because a fire marshall is present doesnt automatically equate pyro problems. fire marshalls come to inspect shows for a litany of resons: pyro, capacities, curfews, the whole deal. most big venues will let artists pay late fees if they wanna play late. however there are a lot of venues (particularly smaller ones) that won't take late fees, b/c they end up getting taxed out the ass on them and have to file all kinds of bullshit paperwork with the city...it's a hassle.

in the NE, where there are more people concentrated in very small areas (as opposed to say texas where everyone is spread out over a HUGE area) there's all kinds of public transportation and police concentration at certain times in certain parts of town, and 3000 extra people driving around full of piss and vinegar after a late rock show can throw all city planning into a tailspin.....

that's definitely a better way to theorize and discuss the issue at this point. good points too.

maybe we'll eventually get clarification on exactly which of those issues it was related to. but remember, what ever the issue, the statement already said that green day and other bands had the same parellel issue with no problem. so the local biz people/police/fire marshals might still be picking on axl.

  17. there's probably a forum for this, so move it if so

    ----------------------------------------------------------------

first make sure the pic isn't too huge because i know some people here will flame you.

    go to http://www.imageshack.us

click on 'browse' in the upper-right

chose the pic on your hard drive (one .jpg or .gif at a time)

click 'open' to make the grey file dialog box go away

click on 'Host it!' on the imageshack web page

after it uploads, you'll get a bunch of links. i don't have time to explain how to use them. but if you know how to post a pic here with the http://www.dssdfs/.../dfsf.jpg address, use the link all the way on the bottom of the list that says 'direct link to image'

    HAVE FUN!

  18. It is really kind of wierd. I am sitting here looking at my tickets for Mon, Dec 30th, 2002 Arco Arena. They never made it to that show, but I saved the tickets anyway, just pinned on the corkboard. I remeber then just thinking, damn, sux, but Axl is Axl. And probobly just went on with my day.

I feel bad for those people who missed out tonight, cause most will probobly not be able to attend the next venue. But you know what, shit happens.

Playoff games got rained out and 45,000 people missed out. yhis year in MLB I am sure alot of them were not able to make it the next time they made it up either. Did a bunch of people say the Cardinals and the Tigers should have played in rain gear with a plastic ball? No, they just said oh well.

I have pix of my tix up against this forum on my comp screen , but dunno how to upload em. If anyone has a place I can host em I will send em over to prove my stubs. I took em up againt post #65 and you can see it clearly (just in case I was doubted). Sux, but lets chill a bit. rock1

    send me a personal message.

One more thing to the suicidal fans afraid of axl canceling their show, the number of tickets sold by 5 or 6 pm means shit. do you how many people go to concerts at the last minute? the place would have been at least 75% full and that would have been fine with axl even IF he cancelled for that reason. but i know they wouldn't lie and name two fire marshal fucks in the process.

  19. They canceled it because Axl didn't feel like playing. Plain and simple. This tour is over.

GOOD GOD! Y'all seriously need some meds to get 'Normal' again (pardon the pun)

do you all ACTUALLY THINK they would name names in a lie?

    Nelson Collins and Bob Cadigan

even if its about pyrotechnics, it's his art. if it was MY art and someone said, no, welcome to the jungle can't be as cool as everyone in that other thread is talking about, i'd cancel.

    Last Night in Jersey

  20. I just called the t.v. network where Letterman films (CBS in NY) and asked who the musical guest was tonight. After being switched around a few times someone finally said to me they couldn't confirm and just 'watch the show tonight'.

well, my heart rate finally went down...........until i read this. great, now i really am going to have to watch letterman tonight.......shit, i need sleep. oh well, fuck it, its for a good cause.

Sorry, not trying to make more of it than it is. There was NO ONE available to confirm who the guest is tonight and the show has already been taped by now, so not sure what any of that means.

They tape at 4pm eastern time. guns out the door by 5pm. get to south heliport by 5:30pm. in the air by 6pm

asshole venue owner gets paranoid and won't open the door til the band is there. letterman is so secret that they can't even tell owner why they're late. venue owner cancels show and blames it on the artist.

    sound good? ya' never know

  21. and there-in lies the problem. almost all of our rights are lost because of drug war and now terrorism excuses. there's always a boogie man that you should all fear to let the gov do what they want to.

Or a woman. Monica Lewynski is also in the WTTJ video. She sucked Bill's crackpipe so i can't see what she has to do with all the drug/terrorism issue. :D There is one thing that i noticed. There are some numbers (28-11-06?? not 100% sure) at the end of the Columbine footage. Has this something to do with this thread beside the drug/terrorism issue?

monica was a victim who was used by the ugly cunt. but i wouldn't expect you to understand dirty politics.

it's after midnight here. gotta go beddy-bye. everyone can bitch on, but i'm pretty happy with the way this thread came out up through page 3
