  1. You are totally right..

I dont thonk Axl is stupid, and I belive he will act due to his word.

the losses will be to big on him if he dosent.

sure the hard core funs will come to shows, but its not enough, not for him and not for us.

So I belive he'll do the right thing

  2. well I never actually saw them.. so sure I would, And when I could it will cost me alot of money, couse the chance they'll come to Israel is very very small.

And its one of my dreams to see them, I just hope It will happen soon..

    Ohhh poor thing :(.

I hope they will do Israel in 07 promoting the album.

Hopefully while they put on a wonderful show they can also bring some peace to your country - well to that part of the globe, actually ;).

I live in Portugal and missed the 92 show just cause I thought they'd be here in 93+94+95+96+97+98, etc...

I went on living a miserable life until on the 27th of May they did RIR Lisboa.

Best day of my life :).

I just wanted them coming here every weekend.

If they did I'd have to go rob a bank to buy me tickets for every night :rofl-lol: .

I guess I'm never going to grow up and learn to hear Billy Joel or anything like that  .

    Cheers

You're lucky, when they where here I allready lived in israel, but I was six..

well mabye they will come here, ir at least somewhere closer in eaurope.. theres still hope..:)

  3. I'm probably gonna get flamed for saying this but- what happened to the days when you'd save up months worth of allowance to get a GNR concert ticket- or work your ass off at some crummy low-wage store every day after school in order to afford a ticket to this band's performance. It sickens me how a GNR ticket is now the reward or the treat to one who "surrenders their weapon". I mean, where is the will now? This takes away the beauty of owning a GNR ticket- it lessens the value of it...

    Are you for real?

If a GNR ticket gets even one person to surrender a weapon that may have been used to take another person's life, it's priceless. I can't think of anything more valuable in the world than a human life. So, I think this initiative enriches GNR's image - not cheapens it.

Also, I find it amusing that some of the same people who ranted in an earlier thread that Jay-Z's album release would take away sales from GNR's album - are the same ones now claiming that anybody who listens to rap wouldn't be interested in free tickets to a GNR show. Which is it, guys? You can't have it both ways.

    I agree, every word.

  4. On those who say the 2006 version of GUNS N' ROSES isn't the real thing:

"You know, you've got Slash and Duff doing STONE TEMPLE PILOTS songs with Weiland (in VELVET REVOLVER). They can't do 'Welcome to the Jungle' because he can't sing it. Let's be honest. Then, you've got Axl doing 'Sweet Child o' Mine' and 'Rocket Queen' with some other dudes. I'd rather see Axl singing GUNS N' ROSES songs than Slash doing STONE TEMPLE PILOTS songs. Nobody can sing 'Paradise City' like Axl Rose."

    Amen to that..Fuckin' Amen!!

    Bach is fucking awsome.. rock3

  5. Shit man.. I'm sick and tired of Axl dissin other bands and thinkin he is the king.. Screw Axl.. Enough is enough.. He ain't the man he once was.. Once Chinese Democracy is finished (if it's ever complete), Axl can shove it up his own ass for all I care.. I love GNR, but this unacceptable..

Im sick and tired of dambasses like you saying crap abput Axl, who the hell do you think you are?

I dont think what Axl said was smart, but after the response of the fucking shit metal band, them saying all that lies about what happend on stage, I dont care, couse that was just a pathetic attempt to hurt Axl back.

and about if Axl and tommy had an argument, well first of all I dont see any good reason to belive things that the dude from peagons of shit metal sais.

and second, even if they did had an argument, so what, ppl can argument, and that just shows that other membars in the bend have a saying.

  6. I couldn't even count the number of bands I only know one song by. And I'd bet you're the same, because everyone hears stuff on TV, on the radio, at others peoples houses ect. by bands/artists they don't know.

Theres probably a huge number of bands other people love that neither of us has ever even heard of.

    Its not a big deal.

If they were trying to claim GNR sucked because they never wrote anything but radio-friendly rock ballads because thats the only song they know then it'd be worth taking the time to correct them, play them Coma or something. But the fact that they haven't gone out and research every band they've ever heard a song by is perfectly normal.

    I totally agree...

  7. interesting..

Dont really know if beliving that, I guess I'll take the word of someone that been in the show and said those stuff didnt happen, and If the reporter told these lies then mabye the other stuff are lies too.. well who lnows..

    hope its a lie thow.

  8. it must be horrible for the band,

especially when the singer wont let anyone hear the material you've helped create,

if it were me i would have to walk in a situation like this, just exactly what is the purpose of being in a silent band?

    exactlly, I totally agree.

I mean god, you ppl make them sound like they are being forsed to be in the nand, stop actinig like you know what really goes on there, like you ppl said they wrote part of the lyrics and music, is it really realistic that Axl dosent let them hear it?!?

They are GNR, and im sure they know whats going on with the CD, couse I cant imagin someone being in a band for 10 years and dosent know whats going on with his CD.. that bullshit, no one would stay or even join to a band like that.

so stop talking like you know whats going on there.

  9. When people say negative shit about Axl,

Many people here express sympathy for Axl, and bash those that bash him. But I, personally, feel sympathy for the band. Many of the members have been in this for the long haul, especially Robin, who's been a part of GN'R since 1996. Many of them have stuck by this band, in it's darkest hours. That shows dedication. For someone like Robin, I think it goes beyond the paycheck.

Imagine waiting ten years to put out a product, a product that will be partly yours, that will have your creative stamp and influence on it, only to face delay after delay. I'm sure the band would've been happy to get the album out years ago. For many of them, it'll be the first recording or creative experience that they've truly been a part of, and truly had a hand in creating.

It must be hard for them to go out, every night, playing someone else's songs that they didn't create and probably don't even like, when they know they could be playing a set of songs that they created. It must be so frustrating to not be able to play their own songs and knowing that if they refused to play the old songs, they'd be fired. The album is called Chinese Democracy; ironically, the band that created it is in a state of communism.

It also must be hard for them to call themselves members of a band when they're not allowed to act as such; they cannot talk about their work or their life in the band to any major sources. While they could create their identity and become (in the public's eyes) more than replacements, they are forced to stand in the shadow of their predecessors.

I think for at least some of the band, they've stuck by this project for the same reasons a lot of us have: An eventual pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. A lot of us here have stuck by Axl and the band with the hope that our wait will result in what could be one of the best Rock records ever produced; I think the band sticks by for the same reason; the prospects of an eventual payoff for their wait, both commercially, creatively and personally.

So before you bash the band, think of it this way, in a lot of ways, they're in the same boat as us, all being driven for nearly a decade by Captain Rose--but to what destination, and when? And the question at the end of this journey will be: Was it worth it? A question that I think will be asked, aloud and in our thoughts, by the band and ourselves when all is said and done.

I agree in a way, I mean sure we all think about poor Axl that every one loves to bash but there is the band, and somtimes I dont even think about them, althow I dont think anything bad about them..

but to say its a ones man show and they all replacments, and treated that way by Axl I dont know if its true.

we dont really know whats going on there, I hope its not like that, and that the membars really do care for thier new music, the CD ofcurse.

and it sounds like you accuse Axl for that situation, if they were desperate like you make them look they would have been long gone. But they arent replacments if they stay, like robin for 10 years, if it was Axl solo CD, I dont think robin would have stayd all this time.

  10. Ok, i no this is prob unlikely but ya no what the hell,

Given that the statement was a little unclear, ie: saying the better ad would premiere early november when the statement was released on the 6th. But also saying the pc ad will run through the 19th.

Do we think thats a typo and its meant to say december???????

    Just a thought.

The "Black Sheep" commercial, featuring "Paradise City," will air during Busch Grand National and Nextel Cup Races October 8 through November 19. An alternative version, launching early December, premieres the new, exclusive, unreleased Guns N' Roses track "Better" from their new album, "Chinese Democracy," which will be released later this year.

To view the Black Sheep ad, check out: www.harley-davidson.com

I hope so.. I mean who knows..

I want the CD so bad.. Ill belive anything..:)

  11. He did and I find it to be a total lack of class on Axl's part. I dont care if him OR the fans didnt like them, he should have a little more respect for a band opening for them. And the fans are fucking asshole's for booing them like that.

Axl should worry more about why he cant get a decent soundman rather than picking on some opening band, really shitty thing to do Axl.

I can garauntee if that band had said something like "you guys ready to see Guns N Posers??" This board would explode saying how fucked up it is.

I agree, i dont think he's so desparet for the audience to like him so why say that..

I think canceling them would have been enough.
