  1. "My outfit's ridiculous, in the club lookin' so conspicuous.

And Rowl! These women all on the prowl, if you hold the head steady I'm a milk the cow.

Forget about the game, I'm a spit the truth, I won't stop till I get 'em in they birthday suits.

So gimmie the rhythm and it'll be off with their clothes, then bend over to the front and touch your toes.

I left the Jag and I took the Rolls, if they aint cutting then I put em on foot patrol.

How you like me now, when my pinky's valued over three hundred thou sand,

Lets drank you the one to please, Ludacris fill cups like double D's.

Me and Ursh once more and we leave 'em dead, we want a lady in the street but a freak in the bed"

As you can see from this old usher song that they played the shit out of, sadly, lyrics dont mean much anymore. Ppl just go for what sounds catchy. I think better could really crack into the majority of the mindless ppl out there who like whatever the radio stations pick for them.

Edit: Isnt "Sorry" susposed to be another heavy hitter from the album? Maybe that's the single, but who knows

if sorry was the first single, some idiots or velvet revolver fans might think it isnt a song but a personal message from axl rose <_<

  2. soryy if i am freaking you out i am a girl and i had dated my ex boyfriends for 12 years off and on and even when we weren't together we were best friends so i lost both my best friend and boyfirend. i am so used to calling him my boyfriend have done it most of life. but serious i was trying to make point that lots of people have tried to take places and do thingsto cheer me up this year and seeing and being at the concert i was made me far more happy than anything else has made me yet. i did have a great time and din't mean to freak you out

    its alrite lol

    just kinda worried

i thought you were WIlly the kids relative since hes making crazy posts to <_<

    sorry to hear anyway

  3. I'm buying it too. Thats not the point. The point is how many people who haven't been going to these sham tour dates for portions of the past 6 years will buy the record? We're not the ones Axl has to impress. We've heard half his album already, and I think in general its pretty good stuff. The thing that scares me is that at the larger venue shows, the crowds were not in to the new material at all. The hammerstein shows, most were into it, because it was made up of a large percentage of people I would consider die hard fans.

I want the album to succeed, and think it will to a degree. However, I think most reviews will say that the record is good- but.... and the "but" will likely be followed by something stating that it doesn't warrant a wait of over 10 years.

    good post, 100% agree

  4. I haven't been that happy since before my boyfriend died like year and half ago

    wtf?

i think she.. or he since that post is really freaking me out, meant EX-boyfriend

 ...poor guy! I'm sorry for him. I hope he meets Axl sometime to have a tiny lil' chit-chat <_<

but hey...we all will meet Axl some day!!! ...I'll show him the price then what is like playing a God and wasting our precious time on Earth! Don't worry...NO LAME ASS SECURTIY GUARD WILL SAVE HIS ASS THEN!<_<

youll get sent to hell for fighting

    axl will prob to

  5. <sarcasm>

Yes I hate guns n' roses too. That's why I decided to join a Guns n' Roses forum

    </sarcasm>

Seriously though, we get it, you think the new band sucks. But it's what's there and that's the way it is.

You're raving like a kid though.

    good post

this topics a waste of internet air, lock already

  6. looking at all of your topics, and reading all these comments made me wanna laugh.....

I used to be a huge GnR fan - wow...i really, really loved them. Went to many of their concerts, had always all the updates, etc... But after 1993 everything changed, and it will be like that - no matter what.

when it started back in 2002 - i was laughing, 'cause they really looked like a bunch of clowns, and when i went to the concert i was really embarrassed for them - honestly. By the way - Axl admitted that by himself to Kurt Louder on MTv, that 2002 - was a big catastrophy.

then for 4 years we could see few notes about Axl and his musicians, that pretty much nothing was going on. Then blaming Buckethead's leaving the band for the album delay... PLEASE !!!!!!!

And now when the year is almost over, when Axl started the whole process of bringing back the band to life again with concerts and empty promises, we ( i mean fans) are still with NOTHING !!!!

Here are some of mine personal thought - would like to share them with all of you, and see possible comments.

First of all - the mix of people in the band - WTF ???? Three guitar players???? Two piano players??? Why Axl didn't hire the whole orchestra?????

Glorifing Finck as the best guitar player ever.... PLEASE !!!!! Finck dosen't really know what the guitar is for, and fucked up all the guitar parts - during the summer concerts. I dont know about the new stuff, so... cant really say anything.

Second of all - all this chinese democrasy tour was a big mistake too - no mentioning the new album whatsoever - for me it was more like "greatest hits" tour, with some hints of what may happen soon, and their headline song should be - "Yesterday" - honestly, cause the words fit so good to the whole story.

Plus being at few concerts got that feeling it's too much Roses, and just few Guns left..... which is sad

And last but not least - my theory of the new album...

I think Axl want to gets closer with the releasing date to Velvet Rovolver's new album, so they can compete what is better....

Actually i can bet my ass this is gonna be so true...

Let me know what you guys think of that

    Sincerely

    I ain't the first

    dear noob,

    fuck off

    comprende?

  7. Don't you think Axl will spend some EXTRA CASH he earned on the World Tour acros the Europe and States trying to produce some ANOTHER SONG and this will lead again to neverending stroy of perfectionism of this album???<_<

Leave the dope, it is killing your brain pal...

no, its honest perfectly good for you

  8. And shootingstar, I get what you're saying. The industry as a whole is a much different beast than it used to be even 10 years ago. It's not royalties where artists make their most money anymore. It's tickets and merchandise sales, touring and appearance fees...

Correct. That's why bands as Pixies are touring again. David Lovering said on a documentary that he lived on the two checks he received on yearly basis back in the '90s (although the band didn't exist anymore) but with the Internet, it has become impossible for many musicians to live on royalties. When Joey Santiago called him to ask if he wanted to do a reunion tour, he jumped for joy....

it kinda helps if you like to play to people as well.

moreblack, ive just seen the discussion & news section and all the latest posts are covered by you, your on fire :xmasssanta: rock1

  9. Besides, do you want CD known for producing songs like Layla? Fuck with all due respect to Clapton, that type of song is not what I am waiting to hear on CD....Even November Rain, a ballad, maintains an edge missing from most Clapton songs....GnR is not a Blues band in the way Clapton's groups were...While Gnr can adopt a bluesy edge similar to the Stones, an element of raw punk has always kept Guns a little harder, a little edgier..I hope CD adopts a similar balance...

Those elements are long gone. Replaced by Keyboards, Synths and Martin Luther King solos... :(

thats exactly where axl wanted to take the band

  10. Always finding new ways to have a dig at the former members eh?

well, you keep at it... But those guys did something without Axl OR the GNR name. And they're still out there entertaining the masses and rocking their asses off.

These new guys you love so much? mark my words, they will be nothing without Axl or the GNR name.

I agree that they can´t be as great as they can with the GnR name. But it has nothing to do with how good or talented they are. It´s because of how the music scene is today.

Did you know that the music industry(rec companys) only make money on like 10% of signed artists?

What keep the industry alive is in general the big and established names like ABBA, Michael Jackson, Elvis, Queen, Rolling Stones, Beatles and yes, Guns n Roses.

Today music is not in general as much hard currency as it used to be. It has lost it´s hype. Now music is everywhere, on the net, commercials, radio etc.

For two decades ago people had to struggle a little to find great music they´d like which problably made them valued music more. Now the main stream tell us what to like. Television and music industry have created a program called IDOL. Now it is the artists that need to struggle and compete in public to reach the audience, not he opposite. People have stopped searching for great albums in record stores because radio plays those 15 songs that they/we are supposed to like.

THAT´S the MAJOR reason why they wouldn´t be anything without Axl or the GnR name.

excellent post, couldnt have been put better,

man i wish i was born in the 60s, live through led zeppelin, ramones, the who, the beatles, original guns, queen

  11. its up there with the best songs they've ever written,

    :rofl-lol::rofl-lol::rofl-lol::rofl-lol::rofl-lol:

    :(

sorry man i didnt mean it any personal way, its your views and i was wrong to laugh

but CD doesnt beat songs in the lyrical content such as Coma, Breakdown or Dont Damn Me,

    out of the new songs,

it proberly beats rhiad but the others are better lyrically

  12. Axl Rose and NuGnR have not acheived anything 'impossible'. They have however made a lot of very standard things like releasing a record occasionally or getting to the end of a tour without cancellations SEEM impossible.

well they got through it didnt they,

    THINK OF THE PRESSURE!

  13. This has probably been discussed a lot over the past few months, but I'd really love to see the bandana make a return. Even at Rock in Rio III, when Axl was overweight, the bandana really brought back "Axl" - through all his image changes over the years, the bandana has always been there. I'm just really sad to see it disappear. It definitely makes him look more like a nu-metal candidate when he's got the dreads - the bandana would really help bring back memories of the classic Axl.

Maybe others are glad it's gone, but I loved the bandanas, and while I appreciate Axl changing his image again, it's one thing I'd be happy to always see at live shows. I wouldn't want to see a 45-year-old running about in kilts, but damn, that bandana kind of represented everything about Axl - along with the leather and the long red hair, the latter of which at least is still somewhat there.

    * Note this isn't a bash, I'm not picking on him for dropping the bandana, I'm just saying I'd like to see it return and I think it would add a lot for nostalgic value.

** I know this will be moved to Dust N' Bones, I tried to post it there but it won't let me post anything. Sorry.

bandanas always been good, but maybe hes to old, he'll just look like a biker
