    CITR sounds like Brian May / Richard Fortus

    IRS - Buckethead / Axl?

    CITR is 1999 or older. So Richard wasn't even int he band. Paul Tobias however was.

    Brian May is for sure on Catcher, confirmed by Brian himself.

    If Catcher In The Rye was written in 1999/2000 like what I've read, Fortus had nothing to do with it. He joined in 2002.

    fortus used that riff earlier,

    so if richard joined in 02, and that riff was made in 99", brian may couldnt have made it because that riff was made by richard, so CITR was made in 02

    So according to you 2006 was the year of GnR because they did a tour?

    no im summarising it was still a good year for gnr even though there was no album,

    bash me all you want dipshit but I liked the shows and i couldnt have asked for more .. well maybe the album

    The tour has ended along with a year that is surely going to live in our hearts forever.

    2006 really was the year for Guns N’ Roses, no matter what the haters say because

    there was no album or no sign of a clear road to where we shall walk upon, the tour

    was the light that kept out heart alive in this dark tunnel but what holds for us in the

    end is what started everything, Chinese Democracy.

    When we were young, Christmas days beginning was full of that feeling of excitement

    and happiness, the day you never want to end, the day everyone unites, smiles are upon

    everyone, your on top of the world, there’s nothing that comes close to that very feeling

    but when that day comes to an end, you get that feeling that gets you down because in your

    heart you know you wont feel like this again for a long period of time. That’s exactly how

    I am feeling now with Guns N’ Roses. The tour is finished and I believe everyone will agree

    when I say “successfully” but I can not tell the future, I can not guarantee myself that

    Chinese Democracy will be in stores on March the 6th of the year 2007, I cannot guarantee

    myself that Axl will not disappear again and not come back… nothing but the very thing that

    drove me to insanity, only time will tell.

    It all started off with 4 warm up shows, what I may recall as my friends “ greatest night of

    his life, even greater then his wedding “, it all started in America and now it all ends in America.

    Hardly any shows were cancelled, but most were approached by Axl at a very late time but the

    feeling and chemistry shown from the band was worth it. The leaks, what can I say? Those very

    songs especially “Better”, got that feeling back, the feeling that made me want to run out and

    scream, the very feeling that makes me want to jump like I’ve never jumped before. We were

    all excited, all ready for another “who knows?” game of Guns N’ Roses. I can still remember

    the day when Axl was spotted at Korns party, the boards current members were shot up and from

    that moment on, it was all coming back, it was all there, right in our face, another Guns N’ Roses

    year, months from then on, what can I say, it’s been one hell of a ride, 2 successful tours, the

    band back as professional rock stars, no silly tantrums, rock n’ roll, the way it should be.

    For now, we are in the dark and what may be the darkest days in our wait for Chinese Democracy

    not because Axl will leave us or tell us the dates been pushed back but the wait will be longer,

    not in time but in our minds, we will be so excited that the months will push off slowly but the wait

    will drive us to insanity as what we have waited for all these years is finally here, what we waited

    for is finally here.

    Take care and have a great holiday, for we will all unite again, could be soon or could take time

    but for what I believe its soon, we will all live through this again when all hell breaks loose and we

    are welcomed to the jungle yet once again,

    Bumblefoot the musician ..

    Ok, short and sweet topic.

    I've waited to the end of the tour before casting my opinion, but Bumblefoot......I'm just not a fan. Don't get me wrong, I've tried, and I know the guy is an amazing musician - but nothing he has contributed has blown me away (with the exception of Don't Cry)and his presence on the live shows is total overkill.

    One thing this tour has certianly cemented is just how good the combo of Finck and Forus are, amazing team and super stage presence (my opinion of Finck has shot straight up after hearing him live, the 'sloppy' criticism's are seriously unwarranted when you hear the guy in front of you - he brings something pretty unique to GNR). But Bumble, ....I dunno.....

    Maybe Axl and Bumble will prove me wrong when the album comes out, but I doub't it.

    It's not even the fact there are 3 guitarists, it's just sometimes his playing really blows..... His playing sounds imprecise, rushed, and really OTT (at least he's good for a showboat - we've all seen his cabaret 'right hand up the neck' trick. Oh, and at least he's a nice guy). I'm not against virtuoso guitarists, far from it, but at least Bucket hit us with some memorable solos and was remotely melodic. Bumble's style is just pure guitar wank........ JMO

    I disagree - strongly.

    I think Axl's decision to bring Ron onboard was the smartest move he's made in years - both musically and from a PR perspective. I think Ron is talented and versatile as a guitarist, has good stage presence (which he didn't have when he first joined the band), and offers a great connection between the band and fans from a PR perspective. jmo.

    Bumblefoot and Eruption was amazing. Bubbles came on stage but did basically nothing. I liked how Axl gave a background on Used to Love Her before singing it. GNR played the new songs so well tonight. Better and The Blues were incredible. BTW, I heard Axl mention somthing about "you never know tomorrow night" or something. After seeing this show, my friend and I are definately going again tomorrow. I must head off to bed. I just wanted to chime in but I must head to bed now, its 3am.

    I'm sure he signed some sort of confidentiality agreement. Plus, that would be very unprofessional. No artisit would ever want to work with him again if he pulled some shit like that.

    The best thing about last nights show was no more brain. Hopefully Frank is the drummer for good. He was more active then brain and frank kicks ass.

    I sometimes miss buckethead. He was great. Brain is a good drummer he just didn't seem into it. Nobody complemeted buckethead unto he was gone then everyone bitched. They complained when he joined and when he left.

    how do you think the last show of the chinese democracy north american tour will end?

    do you think itll be a predictable set list and no message or something special like a new song or

    something from axl?, it might sound like who gives a fuck, its jsut a last show,

    WELL

    it could be the last time we see gnr for a very very long time, the tour ends, axl records cd, cds out, then they tour again,

    so there could be like a years difference off touring in NA again
