I don't hate Nirvana because of the Axl/Kurt thing. I hate them because they sucked. Kurt couldn't play guitar worth two shits and he wrote very shitty songs. His lyrics sucked too.
I bet the only Nirvana song you know is SLTS...
I voted for STP, I only like two or three songs by them.
Pearl Jam, Soundgarden and Nirvana are brilliant

RS is easily one of the best Beatles albums, if not the best.
Peppers rules, but I think RS and Revolver are better

There are some OK songs but from the songs I've heard, there are no biggies that help the album. I never really liked Norweigan Wood, it has a catchy riff, but nothing else. In My Life is great, but it doesn't save the album. I need to give it a correct listen to change my mind -- And I saved my brother's life yesterday, so I think he'll lend me his copy!
Those lyrics you posted might not be the deepest lyrics ever but the songs are still great.
You also might want to take a look at some of Sgt Peppers lyrics (When Im Sixty Four, Lovely Rita) and you'll see that they're not 'perfect'; they're pretty much like the Drive My Car lyrics.
