Like brothers or something? I think some of them enjoy spending time together when they are on tour. Except Axl do they have a gang type mentality in this group?
I wouldn't be surprised if certain ones do "certain things" together.
Also, it's not that uncommon for bosses not to hang out with their employees.

I looove how the sarcasm is completely lost on some.
Nice, so the sub-sections are finally condensed and we don't need to use Former Members section? Can we talk about Buckethead in D&N?

Older video(s) but one that I always enjoyed. I always found it amusing how Slash and Duff were telling it like it was about Axl and the Vancouver riots while Tommy and Dizzy made their employee-like excuses. All 6 parts are worth the watch if by chance you never have.

They should've done a 4-6 track EP with the best tracks from I5OCS if Slash was so deadset on putting it out.
How about Axl should have just laid vocals down for those 4-6 songs that were good enough?
Nah .. instead we got to wait for 15 years to get 14 mostly inferior songs. Great call by Axl!
That's what I meant. The band (Axl included) should've just done a 4-6 track EP of the best songs from I5OCS. The album in its entirety wasn't good enough to be a GNR album, but I think something similar to Lies (4 unreleased demos from 86-93 and 4-6 Snakepit songs) could've helped tide fans over until they had a good album ready.
Or they could have done the sensible thing and took Snakepit's best 4-5 songs and combined them with Axl's best 4-5 songs and Izzy/Gilby/Duff's best 4-5 songs and then BAM! Good GNR album ...
Would've been interesting to see songs like Oh My God and Neither Can I on the same album..
I said best songs ...

Frank's lost weight.
I'm thinking it's too bad they couldn't have found a more respectable career.

Just because I didn't start an account doesn't mean I haven't been here from day one. Don't question my validity.
I'm not questioning your validity. I'm questioning your necessity.

What the fuck has happened to this forum? I've been here from the beginning.
I miss LostRose.com
No you haven't. The beginning was about 2 and a half years prior to your arrival. And, if you left right now no one would miss you.
Oh, and I miss Axl being skinny and playing with GNR. (Since we're talking about what we miss)
-
Matt was right. See my signature for reference of Guns N' Roses last show. It's been 20 years, I miss them!
You were what, four then? And you miss them?
-
Hope all ya Canadians enjoy Axl weasing through the "hits" and running off stage every 4 minutes while one of the guys who aren't GNR bore you with one of their solos.
Woo-hoo. Fun times ahead. derrrrrrrr

Except that although Snakepit is a great album, Chinese Democracy is way better.
If cock rock ballads are your thing ... sure.
-
This past weekend was the first time in ages that I listened to the first Snakepit. There were some really great tracks on that album. I can see why Axl was so pissed when Slash went and did his own thing with some of those songs, especially when you consider what we ended up with on Chinese D. It's a damn shame that Axl didn't put his vocals on the track 'Neither Can I'. I think he could have taken a great song and really elevated it to another level.

This would be a thread worthy of discussion ... if this was 2006.
I mean, there's no one stopping you from posting in the "Axl's nose" thread. Or that cute little one about how if we tell Axl that we want a nu-GNR album, he might end up giving it to us.
-
I wouldn't mind seeing Frank as the drummer for a reunion.
How many shows did you see during the UYI tour?

"We got off the road in 1993. That was the last time GNR played". - Matt Sorum

I'm sorry; I didn't mean to draw attention away from the "Axl's nose" or "we want something that we are NEVER EVER going to get" thread.
-
Here is a 2006 Matt Sorum interview where he mistakenly states that GNR haven't toured since 1993.

LOL I can so picture Axl doing that
I'm glad the topic was moved to its proper section.
lol axl is such a cunt it's not even funny
and if you're glad about this topic being moved then your life must be very sad
Yeah. My guess is he's probably packing about 3 and a half inches.
-
No one expects a reunion, it's just something some people would like to happen.
Ding! Ding! Ding!
Fucking funny how this little concept is lost on so many!
[EDIT] And I too couldn't make it all the way through the OPs loooong winded opinion on why it may not happen.

Oh look, everybody! A mod who apparently feels the need to compensate for the size of his "something" felt compelled to move this thread to a section where nobody reads it.
Well, let's carry on with talking about "Axl's nose" in News and Discussion. Good job Subs and HV! You were both really onto something when making all these promises of "great things to come". Yeah, "great things" if you're 13 year old or have no sense of humor whatsoever! Way to continue running this shithole into the ground! Exciting times!!!
Axl should have recorded Gilby's 'Cure Me Or Kill Me' and replaced 'Chinese Democracy' as the opening track from the aborted late 90s album.

In the 90s, Gilby was fired by Axl because he didn't feel as though his writing contributions were up to par. With that said, Gilby's 'Cure Me Or Kill Me' is a MUCH better opening track than 'Chinese Democracy. Axl should have put vocals on Gilby's 'Cure Me' and left 'Chinese' as a B-side that was destined never to be heard. I think it would have been a great track to kick off the aborted '96 album with. Always thought of it as being in the same vein as 'You Could Be Mine' for some reason.
