Hey MyGNR Crew,
I would like to share my solo performance of Catcher in the Rye. Hope you enjoy it....
https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxA_PVOIbTV0-NZmflO7G-w5AahlOxaX7y?si=tU2WE-ShuFKdp_5_
Its just a clip because it was part of a 90 minute livestream, but once you hit it on youtube just click the "watch full video" button to see the whole song.
Thanks!!!
Greg
P.S. if you like that would love you to check out my latest original song too: -
I call BS. Ritz (Webster Hall 2014) was the definition of chemistry, as anyone else who was lucky enough to be there would attest.

where is there a link to something from the stadium saying we can bring in one factory sealed bottle of water due to high heat?

Really? I had no idea about that. I just listened to their second album and that was awesome.
I dont want to rag on them, glad you dig the album. I just like when a band builds with one solid lineup and all the comings and goings of players is a bit of a turnoff. Marco Mendoza is one of the greatest bass players ever so I'll see him any time he is in town.

I would like to see the The Dead Daisies.
Really? It's a billionnaire living his rock n roll dream by hiring the best players. Mendoza is one of the greatest bass players on the planet so I am partial to him, but I don't feel like there is much soul in this group, especially with the constant rotation of lineups. Their original singer was amazing.

So amazing. Kravitz absolutely CRUSHES live, seen a few shows, its been a while. SOOOOOO excited for Met Life!!
-
The drums are so damn good on this performance. Way underrated performance.

GUARANTEE that repoorter never heard the song Touch Too Much.

All this is is a phone call from LiveNation to Rolling Stone this morning saying, "we need last minute buzz to really get tickets moving today, come up with something!" Really just not a good or necessary article.

I started visiting myGNRForum right after the Madison Square Garden show in 2002 which absolutely transformed me. I saw GNR original lineup twice on the Illusions tours (MSG 91 and Giants Stadium with Metallica), and I was as disappointed as anyone when Slash and Duff quit in 1995, but I moved on pretty much.
In 2002 I went to the garden with little expectation and was COMPLETELY FLOORED, only to find out about him not showing up in Philly the next day, followed by 4 years of silence, then HAMMERSTEIN, then more silence, then CD, then lots of shows since then. Here is the Ritz review I wrote a few years ago....

I dont want my expectations to be too high for this coming tour because I frankly LOVED NUGNR, and I'll miss seeing Axl deliver in the smaller venues, but YES this is going to be AMAZING!!!!!

I generally like DJ, but I didn't like his whole "look at my mansion" thing. How did homey get that rich anyway? Also, seems a bit full of himself making his picks Neil Diamond, Lisa Marie Presley, almost like he's putting his "celebrity status", in that league. Ummm, no.

Beautifully done.

Hey All,
Sorry to pimp but my buddy Adam has an amazing shot of Axl from the Governors Ball last year which will help his photographer career in a huge way, please vote for him at

Reminds me of when Bob Dylan did the VIctoria's Secret commercial. True artists don't give a shit what anyone else thinks.
-
Velvet Revolver really were not good, IMHO. There was just no chemistry in that band. Yeah it was a thrill to see Slash and Duff on stage again for that first tour, but it wore off quick. And the albums even worse than the live show.

Charley D
Fortus looks much happier playing with the Dead Daisies. Can't blame him
Song sounds great.
Touring with Skynyrd will make this band a lot more known.
Charley Drayton is on Drums in this clip. Possibly one of the five best living drummers today. Just watch that dude. Anyone playing with that rhythm behind it is having the time of their life!!!

Dangerous Toys are way underrated... nice pick for #3....

No, it is the fact that Axl was talking about Chinese Democracy for so many years, so many producers, expectation. If it was all top secret then just dropped out of nowhere (like what David Bowie did last year), it would have been a whole different perception....
-
Craig: Beta is a very dear friend. We’ve talked for hours at a time over all the years. We have each been a sounding board for each other and she was very helpful when I was working with Axl in the last year that I was there.
But I haven’t heard this — is she the band’s manager now? Damn, I’m really out of the loop.
Beta is such a dear friend and he does not know she is his manager for whatever years????
People in the music industry have a zillion "very dear friends"...

WHatever. When you are there , it always sounds good. Live music is about LIVE. not youtube. You go see GnR you get your fucking ass kicked by the music. Period.
-
The solo slots are awesome, psychedelic, LOVE it... they really get into cool jams... I think smoking a little herb might help you appreciate that more!
-
I go to a show ready to fucking rage, and rage for a long time if the musicians are ready. The Webster Hall show was over 3 hours and I was in a state of euphoria the whole time. Let the lightweights leave early!

Maybe, just maybe, Axl saw how David Bowie surprised everyone by being low key about recording and would rather not have speculation flying around this time. Secrecy can often be a great thing.

ARX77 - Were you the one with your son, both wearing Guns shirts, your sun was about ten? So cool!!
