  1. I've played the Brooklyn Ball myself five times will be there again in August It's a venue that caters to small bands and huge bands They came very close to having Green Day, and I've seen Paul Simon sitting with Aston Neville there! It is something special!

Damn auto correct on my iPhone, lol. Brooklyn Bowl, Aaron Neville!

  2. All I can say is this, If Axl does decide to make a go of it and do right by all of the fans, the true shining star will be AXL....

Finally the world, outside of this cult of fans who supports the new lineup, will be blown away by how incredible Axl's voice is at his age (Just like they were when Jimmy Cliff was inducted a few years ago)... and despite the fact that Axl will then continue touring with the current incarnation of Guns N Roses, Axl will have so much more respect.

Do right by your fans Axl. This will be a dream come true for so many.....

  3. I saw the Stones Voodoo Lounge tour in 1994. It was alot of fun. Didnt hurt that tix were $50 Face Only, and were 35th row center on the floor at Giants Stadium. I cant say it was even close to one of the best concerts I've ever seen, but I have to say it is inspiring seeing the rock n roll energy they are still putting out at their ages.

If someone has never seen the Stones and loves their music I'd recommend seeing them for sure, just so they can say they did. Since I've never seen Thin Lizzy, it really seems like a blast to catch them, especially if they sound good nowadays....

  4. gmsugaree -

i was never really familiar with thin lizzy, but when i saw they were opening for GNR overseas, i decided to order the thin lizzy definitive collection CD. i think it's great and would love to go to a GNR/Thin Lizzy show.

not a big stones fan, but could be interesting. i actually went to a rolling stones concert in high school because my friends and i wanted to see the smashing pumpkins (they were one of several openers). we actually left after the pumpkins and didn't stick around for the stones. in retrospect, we probably should have stayed.

The Stones are great of course, but the Thin Lizzy tour wouldnt cost a gazillion dollars per ticket, and I mean Thin Lizzy's catalog is just a blast to rock out to. I would hope that if they had a high profile opener like thin Lizzy, there wouldnt be a really long setbreak between the two acts. Sounds like a blast to me.... "Tonight there's gonna be a Jailbreak!"

  5. It's obvious that the current Guns N' Roses could play coma if they wanted too, they can play Estranged beautifully. I think it would be something amazing to pull out the bag, and would be so special for the hardcore fans. I could definitely see Ron taking those fast leads, with Richard being the master of rhythm and keeping it all together. And saying that, Frank would play a major part in this as well, as the drums could either make or brake a Coma performance.

It's not the length. It's the outro. It's really difficult vocally because there's no place to breathe and it's intense.

I would have no problem if they re-composed the outro a little bit to give some breathing room.
