i really want to get my hands on an AFD original cover vinyl....ha! like thatll happen
ebay might have that..; i often find this type of thing in kinda dinky old vintage music stores! i love collecting vinyl
If you live in the UK and can get to camden on a saturday there's often a guy in the electric ballroom who's selling original AFD vinyl's. I've still not got one though

Great stuff!

Playing Soundgarden is cool, but I doubt Chris can really do the RATM stuff. Still I didn't get a ticket anyway, so what do I care!
-
I'm listening to it now, it arrived today and it's really good. Much more solid and consistant than the other albums I think.
At 36 mins it's a bit short though. But still, well worth a buy.

I own a guitar
Ok it's not quite the same, but it looks cool B)

I saw this band a few years ago in some God-forsaken dive in London somewhere. Don't remember much about them at all, other than the fact that I really wasn't impressed by them.

Got it on monday, and it's great. Being from the UK I get two bonus tracks with it too
-
Who?
Actually what with the UK music scene having an aversion to anything not from the UK/US with English vocals the odds are it'll never make it over here.

Filter - Title of Record.
I only got it recently, but it's the best album I've got in a very long time. Absolutely amazing stuff.

MAIDEN MAIDEN MAIDEN MAIDEN!!!!!

For those who might be interested the new single 'The Hand That Bleeds' came out yesterday. I've got myself all 3 versions and a limited edition collectors box courtesy of NIN.com B)

It'd be cool for some more new material from them. I thought St Anger was ok, they just needed to sort out the shite production on the drums, and put some solo's back really, then it would never have got anywhere near as much abuse.
-
From what they played the other week it should be amazing too!
I however wont be downloading it, I'll wait for the album itself. But the singles out on Monday

Deicide and Nile are fantastic, although I keep managing to miss them live.
i like a fair bit of Death and Black metal, but I hate it when the production is so bad that you can't make out a damn thing, which tends to be the case on a lot of the albums as they are made on such a tight budget. Bands like satyricon and Immortal nailed it with their production (ok they're black metal, but still for the purpose of the point), while early Emperor and Ackerkoke's production is so poor I can't even listen to it.

I'd go with Pretty Hate Machine first time out, or maybe the Broken EP, the others a bit bizzare if you're just getting into the band from that track.
The rest of With Teeth sounds awsome though, I saw them at the Astoria twice the other week, absolutely phenominal. They played about 7 new tracks (although they didn't introduce them, so you weren't too sure which was which) and they were all quality stuff. Much harder than the majority of The Fragile, and they seemed slightly more stripped down than previous NIN stuff (although we all know live isn't really the best place to try and really listen to a new track). They played a new version of Closer too, where they splice Sin into the middle of it at the part where Trent whispers the lyrics, before going back to finish Closer. Amazing stuff. B)

Most of those songs mean nothing to me. But Rammstein at #4? Surely that's a mistake?

Genius I tell you!

Just heard/saw 'The Hand The Feeds', cool track, although a lot more mainstream for Trent. But then he was going on about a different direction for this album anyway. Still it seems to be a pretty cool track. The vocals seem to sit forward a lot more than they usually do for previous NIN releases too.
Can't wait till 30th / 31st when I'm seeing them in London! B)
-
Excellent! Can't wait for that one
Hasn't Jordie White joined NIN now as well?

I could write you a list as long as my arm, but i can't be bothered.
Top non-G'n'R bands (in no order)
Machine Head
Tool
A Perfect Circle
Pantera

Hahaha! I like black metal, but it is damned hilarious what the bands get up too.

I thought that the first few times I heard that too. But it does grow on you after a while, it's a very different take on one of the most classic tracks of all time, which I think is why it get's a lot of people simply going "what thefuck do they think they're doing?".
It's still not as good as the original though. But then I don't think anyone could better Lenon's version.
