Couldn't avoid watching this shit without shaking my damn head and cringing the entire video. Goddamn, I think I have never cringed this hard in my life.
I wonder what does exactly 'discrete 5.1' mean

I cannot believe that people in ths forum keep discussing about these 2 horrible songs. Move on.

There isn't anything management is doing to fans behind the scenes. There's a banned member making claims that they're acting on behalf of management by getting GN'R videos removed from YouTube and that's all.
Nothing really to do with this boxed set or the thread.I had GnR demos uploaded 11 years ago on YouTube with 300k views each. They got removed 2 days who. Idgaf tho.

This describes exactly what happened to me except for the fact that I said to myself "even 650 are so ridiculous that it doesn't matter if I pay 300 more" and then just clicked "buy".
I am a cd and record collector for 30 years and I wantd the vinyl of the demos so much. I was not willing to pay 180€ for four CDs only, so I decided to pay 950€ the whole package instead and being forced to buy lots of crap I habe exactly zero interest in, like rings, fake tattoos, copies of flyers (I do own originals) and so on.
I blame the management/band for not releasing a stand alone vinyl issue of the demo recordings. This is such a fuckin bitch move.
Great, 9.999 boxsets left in the warehouse

(...) then you ought to never wear a GNR band t-shirt again.
Actually you can. I had two custom gnr shirts made for me using vector logos. I don't like shirts made by Fernando, they're horrible

The stuff that Marc has on the reckless road book is priceless. Im sure Axl and co were pissed off that they couldn't make money off of the stuff he has. The dude even has footage of the band working on sweet child o mine as it was being made.
Can someone tell me the source of what this poster claims? (existence of footage of SCOM being made).
Is it stated on the book?

How much then
Let's have an admin hold the money in escrow we have a vote and when settled you get the money.
Absurd. If you hire someone to do something you just pay them, whether you like it or not.

I am buying it because I want to support the band. AFD is one of my favorite records, maybe the one that has had the most impact on me. I don't know how much I have spent on that record in my life, not much, one vinyl, a CD or two, but the amount of pleasure I have received is impossible to quantify. So I am giving back. And I do that while agreeing that it is a flawed product. But the record isn't.
this band doesn't need financial support, they are already wealthy as hell.
What they do need is releasing new music

Which, unless you have a dedicated room to properly "feel" the surround effect, is completely useless and as some people stated: CLUELESS.
Unless you wanna have fun downloading the Blu-ray, importing it into audacity and enjoying afd in 6 different tracks.

I would never trust a product made in brazil... In my city buses are imported from brazil and they're truly awful. Worst buses I've ever ridden on

In a PC world with Axl disavowing OIAM & hating on Trump. Yet he still puts out a poster of a woman being raped. Hypocrisy much?
actually it's a monster saving a girl from being raped according to my friend jeff fura

Nobody wanna see random worthless pics. A video of making afd at the studio would be much more appreciated by the fans

To me, the boxset is depressing. I'm happy about the 5.1 and curious about the remaster, but I work hard for my wage and cannot waste it on OLD music I've already had/heard for years.
Fernando and co., please release new music. Downloadable flacs are enough for me.

I wouldn't be so sure

He was talking about stuff being definitely released on bootlegs which you had to hunt for years by leaving your house and having much luck. Nowadays everyone has access to this stuff within seconds whilst sitting naked on their toilet.
He was not talking bout stuff rumored to be existing.
Sorry but Jackie Chan (working title for checkmate) was confirmed to exist by none other than Axl Rose

I saw it earlier today. I prefer it over the Lies version.
The Jungle Sound City track was also released:
Not 100% sure, but I don't think I've heard that vocal track before. Haven't heard the bootleg demos for years though

Kinda sad that there's not much left in the unreleased catalog... except for the live Canter recordings... no working songs or other rarities left... the pre-Internet days were fun when we searched for bootlegs at Hollywood record stores. Everything is so accessible from the Internet that collecting is less of a challenge...
Yea super accessible. Send me Jackie Chan/checkmate please

They did shake up the setlist, they recently added Shadow of Your Love for the first time since 1986, and Slither for the first time ever
Personally I am excited for the great quality demos in this release, I care about 30 years ago
All I care about this specific release is a good 5.1

I was considering getting the $180 version, but I'm having second thoughts. While I'm still a fan of the music, there is so much I dislike about this band and the "entourage". The more I think about it, the less I can justify spending so much money on this. To quote Alan Niven, "instead of spending $1000 on a box set, why don't you send $1000 to a needy charity and really do something for the world".
Charity is overrated. You'd better off demanding a better usage of your tax dollars. Less spending in wars and more investing in welfare.

When is it due to leak? Just so I'm ready to denounce the links

I heard that there will be a blu-ray release of Montevideo 2010
