  1. Mine and I have a bunch - I’ll start with

The Alien by Snakepit on “ Ain’t Life Grand”

Killer tone and licks - Mean sounding tone with a dive bomb to end the solo

Bends from Hell man - Slash making the strings sing - the whammy bar dancing around and then some mind blowing bends on a pentatonic scale ending with the dive bomb - Pure Emotion

Slash said in his book that he wrote about half of the lyrics for that record and that it should be obvious which ones he wrote because they are about Axl.

Thank you - It’s Ezy the ones he wrote - when I got my copy of Five o clock somewhere when it came out - I listened non stop for days - I told my buddies this isn’t good - Most of these lyrics are about Axl - I’m a fanatic man -

I'm super confused by this video!

Is it out of sync or something?

Your fingers are not playing what I'm hearing!

ThAts a old video -out of sync ain’t the word - that’s called old school dial up for internet before fiber optic came into play - Video is over 15 years old - It’s a brutal Sloppy version that I try to throw my own licks in with a Boss Digital Delay - which Guitar u want  the red one or the tiger striped one

On the subject of Slash's lyrical abilities, he wrote ''Be the Ball'' on the first Snakepit album. I believe it is an existential art song exploring the conceptual reality of being a pinball.

I’m not gonna go off topic - hiliarious u think he only wrote be the ball - never heard 5 o clock somewhere then

I agree that they fit better with Slash, but I was talking specifically about this song. I think someone like Fortus could play a technically challenged song like Locomotive more tight than Izzy and Gilby.

Richard is a  phenomenal guitar player but Slash played all the guitars on the number

All Richard would have to do is hold time - Izzy - Gilby And Fortus could do it in their sleep

  6. I’m struggling with Axl singing Locomotive but hell I didn’t think he could pull off Coma but he did

The song would be epic live - The beat and Axl going off would be sic - Slash shredding the riff and solos - The outro wah solo could turn into a whole different jam by its self - could see that going for 10 minutes - Be insane

  7. Not a sore loser at all - I may be wrong - it’s very. Possible - Just know I read about the lyrics years ago

there have been  LSD hallucinations since then

714 trips a bunch of them - Ludes and other various things in my body since 1990

    u guys may be right

  8. “ Axl Adapted the lyrics to the music “ U gotta remember this was 1989 - 1994

Axl is never gonna admit - Slash wrote some lyrics - I’m not saying Slash wrote the whole song - just added lyrics to it

Slash never takes credit for lyrics and probably never will - That’s too much ego 4 him and 2 Personal

Lol, typical people who have lost. Try and hint things and want someone to find it and thinks he has the answer but is "holding it back" because he wants you to find something that never can be found. So in his mind he hasnt lost yet.

I’m not holding anything back man - it’s a fact Slash wrote lyrics

    Like I said I AM a day 1 fan

Every magazine article I read - every interview on tv during the recordings of the Illusions

Never knew that Slash writing lyrics was such a big deal

  10. It’s not that big a thing that Slash wrote some lyrics -

He wrote for Snakepit- Smkc — he never wants credit for it - listen to Snakepit - 50 percent of those lyrics are wrote about Axl

Slash Had Coma And Locomotive mostly  done when he brought it to Axl

If u listen to Coma - half the song is about Slash being in a drug induced Coma and speaking about it - The breakdown is all Slash lyrics

Axl response is maybe we will be better off without u anyway

Axl was never in a coma but Slash was

    love this topic

  11. WStill haven’t found it ? U have to dig deep - Slash didn’t admit to the lyrics but Axl said it back in the day

Axl couldn’t find the lyrics for the song - that’s been documented

“ Its these Prejudiced illusions that  pumps the blood to heart of the biz” Hint Hint

The only thing researching would prove is that nothing you posted was correct

Thought a few of u knew Gnr history- I was wrong

I agree to disagree -nothing wrong with that

Keep Doubting me - I will prove u wrong some of the times

Locomotive has Slash lyrics on it

how about a nice nice little wager - a gentleman’s bet

I’ll bet my les Paul on it

    what u got ?

I can't imagine Slash writing any of those lyrics... Especially Locomotive

all I can say is do your research

Remember I am a lifer from Day 1

do some research brothers - u will find it - I don’t  need it I lived it

  14. Slash wrote all the guitars on Locomotive and 75 percent of the lyrics

There are several songs Slash writes lyrics too even though he don’t wont credit for

usually pretty Ezy to pick out slash lyrics

    Locomotive

Coma - Half Axl - Half Slash

    Nighttrain

    Mr Brownstone

    Bad Obsession
