ok so i am using my laptop and ive downloaded a bunch of videos that i wanna burn onto a DVD. i had them all on a playlist and everything and then i put in the DVD. but the laptop is not 'finding' the DVD for some reason and it isnt working. anyone know what the problem is or how to fix it?

well it's nice to have both. but personally, even if a song has the greatest or deepest lyrics ever i won't be able to listen to it if the guy/girl can't sing for shit

alice in chains is fucking amazing. i just got into them really recently and i can't stop listening to them. i agree with the person that said layne sounds like kurt cobain and axl combined. he's got an incredible voice- it's so sad that he died so young

They were all equally crappy. Just a really bad sub-genre. Every time I hear a grunge song I am instantly reminded why I hate all those bands. If I absolutely had to pick one, I'd pick STP for Sex Type Thing and Interstate Love Song, probably the only decent things to come out of that whole movement, and even those are mediocre by any other standard. I'm not trying to be a dick. If you like grunge, good for you, but I honestly think it blows. I don't like music that drains you. It just totally zaps all the energy out of the room. That's not a good quality. It's like a giant killjoy.

i actually feel totally opposite. i never feel 'drained' after listening to grunge music. actually, i feel more pumped up(lack of a better word). or i just feel the same as i did before i put the music on. guess it's not your 'thing'

and i changed my mind. i like alice in chains more than nirvana. i got bored of nirvana pretty quickly and now i'm starting to get really into them

cool, but seriously, why is freddie mercury at the top of EVERY LIST?! i mean, he was a great singer and all but he's so glorified and i really see no reason why. no offense to any queen fans, i know there's a lot of them here

nirvana and alice in chains. i like nirvana's music a little better but layne staley's voice is incredible

i thought the instrumentals sounded great. the girl's voice is good, but i'm not crazy about it. like funkymonk said, i think a guy's voice would have fit better. but overall, it was really solid

none really. i was never into any other bands. GNR is the first band i ever really fell in love with. and because of GNR(and this forum ) i've checked out a bunch of other rock bands that i like. but none will ever come close

Check out Nick Drake, Elliott Smith and Iron & Wine for the acoustic stuff. And if you want a really weird, psychedelic/folk thing, download My People Were Fair by Tyrannosaurus Rex. Really cool album with lots of interesting sounds.
