It does not look bad. It looks like a 50 year old. We all age in different ways. He looks fine for someone who is 50 and who is a rockstar. Hell, he looks more healthy than a lot of non-rockstar 50 year olds. Sometimes, you get wrinkles as you age. It happens. He's 50.
I don't think it's necessary to incessantly make negative comments about Axl's looks. Just my opinion. We're here to talk about the band and the music, not turn this into cosmopolitan for men gnr edition.
No dude, there's what appears to be a hole in the middle of his neck:
So will you feel guilty for being so determinedly critical of his voice, if that turns out to be some sort of scar? Be honest now.
Of course.
But I already said weeks ago that if he has some medical condition, he should come clean and take care of himself instead of touring.
If he has a Tracheotomy hole...he should not be performing.

Where can I find the attendance numbers for this concert? Is there a reliable website which regularly posts such things?
Pollstar, but you need a subscription.
Dat neck...
Did he have a Tracheotomy?
That looks bad.

Try a little experiment with people that aren't big gnr fans.Play something from the old Tokyo shows or other old gnr live vids on youtube from the old band, then show them some of the vids from this show.Any guesses to what most of those people would say sounds better vocally?
I think some people might chose this one. From the camera angle you get a really good mix of vocals with good reverb off of the back of the venue and thousands of fans singing along. In Tokyo you have a direct sound source and Axl's voice was pretty shot at that show if I remember. I remember Axl's voice being a little shot at that Tokyo show.
You have problems.

prove the naysaying about his voice
Doing what you're asking him to do would just highlight his vocal condition and create more naysayers.
His voice is the shits, man.

If Axl does a full show with rasp this year, I'll get Chris Pitman's face tattooed on my scrotum.
-
This reminds me of Rick Springfield's Watery Personal Hell
-
Best part was Axl's head of security having to get in a car and chase down Axl's car because he was throwing a hissyfit and threatening to leave the show.
-
I'd take the 2010 Axl vocals and put them over top of the 2002 band's shows.
This isn't a bad idea.
-
Haven't you been one of the people complaining about the last 10 years?
Are you flip flopping?
Nope, just the last two.
Axl wasn't a joke before then.
-
GNR's label would probably love to have a new record to make money from.
GNR has 13 years of soundboard recordings laying around.
How about they mine through those and give us a live album?
If they stick to 2006-2010, Axl won't even have to re-record his voice!
-
If they could go back and get live soundboards of covers from 2006-2010 like "Sailing", "Nice Boys", "Whole Lotta Rosie", "Knocking on Heaven's Door", etc., that would be awesome.
Call the album "GNR Tributes" or something

We had a whole forum of like 100,000 "Letters to Axl" that he never came back to answer.
-
Maybe VH1 thought it really sucked and decided to pull the plug.
Yeah, anyone know the ratings it got?
-
Yeah, dude's insane. I feel sorry for him. When you ask a simple question and the guy gives you 4 answers then you need to start thinking "there's something wrong with this person".
When someone needs to barf out multiple paragraphs of nonsense to convince THEMSELVES that they're right about something, there's a severe problem there.
-
just read it and much as I love Axl he
comes off as an asshole.and he needs to be cross examined
on the question of new music and the future of GNR.
We need to get him on Howard Stern.

When did this "sold out" US Arena Tour take place?
1992.
I'm honestly starting to think Team Brazil just tells Axl that every show is sold out.
-
Honestly, what is Axl going to write about?
He's perpetually stuck in 1996.
Maybe if something life-changing happened to inspire him (marriage, fatherhood, etc.) he would be inspired.
He should do a film score. That way he has to adapt his music to someone else's vision (and within a set deadline).

I love how some of you spew shit about Axls voice being terrible as if it's fucking fact.
It's you opinion, and that is all.
Are you deaf?
No I am not, but I think some of the people crying for over the top rasp are.
Excuses, excuses.
"He used too much rasp anyways" is the new norm for Axl defenders.
When Axl's performing while sitting-down in 20 years you'll be saying "I never liked it when he could walk onstage anyways".
You have a ladyboner for a washed-up rockstar. Get over yourself.

GNR are the Buffalo Bills of the music world.
Keep supporting them, and all they do is fail. And everyone wishes it was 20 years ago during the franchise's glory years.
-
He played some of it in 2001 before November Rain I believe.
That was "Prostitute"

I agree, but only to a point. I've seen GN'R 8 times now... in Vegas, twice in a row.. I don't really get "caught up" so much anymore. I know what Axl sounds like when he sounds bad and I'm objective enough to admit when he does; but the last two nights at Vegas he sounded really good. The first few shows, yeah, he didn't sound great; but suggesting that he should retire because his voice is "awful"? Give me a break... he's a long way off that.
Link me some videos where he sounds good at Vegas.
...I'm still waiting
EDIT: And of course those are videos that you shot and uploaded yourself.
Cute. Way to stay objective.
