  1. 1. Houston 2011

I had decent seats (right next to the inflatable hand), it was a three hour show and everything was amazing and I finally got to hear Don't Cry for the first time live. AND Axl told us the whole story of the song, which meant a lot to me and I couldn't even believe it was happening. And I had after show passes and everyone was really lovely.

    2. New Years Eve Vegas 2001

The first time I saw them live, it was a special time and I felt like I was witnessing history being made.

    3. Dallas 2011

Almost as amazing as Houston but it was a shorter show and Axl messed up November Rain. I've been wanting to see them since '92 when my parents wouldn't let me see them in Dallas, so it was special to see them in Dallas finally.

I'm pretty sure the show I'm going to in Vegas on New Years is going to be pretty amazing, too.

  2. GNR on Facebook:

YOUNGSTOWN O-HI-O! Covelli Centre's our jungle tonight! So close yet still far away from the Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame. Congratulations to all the 2012 inductees and our sincerest thanks to the Hall's organizers, committee members and voting delegates who supported the GN'R induction - it's a humbling honor to be recognized on this first ballot.

While it's so easy to get hyped up on awards and recognition of the now, let's never forget the soldiers who fight for the freedom we enjoy. ESPECIALLY on this day 70 years ago at Pearl Harbor, the lagoon in Hawaii where the ultimate price was paid. REMEMBER December 7th is the day to commemorate the Japanese attack that drew the United States into World War II.

TODAY is PEARL HARBOR DAY ☮

  3. They did have an aftershow at the Atlanta concert. BUt I suppose that nobody from this board went to it .

    seriously dude...relax.

they are usually small quaint get togethers. some chatting, some pics, and then the time comes...and...it's obviously your time to leave.

I'm sure they are basically identical at every show.

That's exactly how it was in Houston. In Dallas it was a little different but not much...just a lot more trashy whores and booze.

  4. I went to both Houston and Dallas...Dallas was awesome and I was mind blown by the 10:00 start time, but I have to say Houston was like 10 times more amazing. Axl was in a good mood and sounded in top form at both shows but there was just something extra in Houston. And honestly, I didn't even notice Better being left out in Dallas because everything was so seamless and flowing anyway. Whatever the case, both shows were fucking amazing and I can't believe I've spend this weekend going to two GNR shows in Texas, it's been so long since they've been here. Don't Cry was the highlight for me, but maybe I'm biased. I couldn't believe Axl told us the whole story before he sang it in Houston. I was freaking out, lols.

I also had after show passes for both shows and met everyone but Dizzy and Axl. Everyone was so cool and so up for talking about anything. DJ is a sweetheart, especially. Tommy is hilarious.

Epic fucking nights and I'm sad it's all over.

  5. Kurt Loder asks him what he thinks about the banning of controversial music like 2 Live Crew. Axl says it's ridiculous and if they're worried about how it would affect their kids, maybe they shouldn't have had kids in the first place. Kurt asks him if he'd feel differently about that if he had kids, Axl doesn't think he would, even if the kid did something bad based on a song that suggested it or whatever.
