At least provide a moment of silence for Chester.

Sorry for everyone that can't hear, but as a life long GNR fan (in middle school when Appetite came out), but this is not good at all. Band is solid. Axl started out on fire. Since the second half of Estranged it has been horrendous. It sounds like he is trying hard, but that mid voice rasp that disappears after Brownstone, when he starts getting winded.. it's just not good. He genuinely seems to be making an attempt at the rasp more so than most shows, just no strength in his voice.

Good to know. Maybe there's hope for some to appear for sale if thats the case.
I can't imagine that you'll find a legitimate ticket for less than $1000.

I believe people pick up their tickets either today or tonight at the Apollo.
-
SiriusXM has invited many subscribers to the show. They have been told to show up to the Apollo at a specified time 2 days before to pick up their tickets. I think the one you are referring to is for a separate contest for the show.

Oof. Brutal.
Says it went to his Promotions folder so didn't see it. He's now on standby in case more tickets are released.

Apparently there was some ticket sale opportunity yesterday (29th) at 10AM for some subscribers. Did any subscribers here get any kind of email or heads up about that?
A friend of mine got this email, but didn't see it until today:

Nope, GNR went on last everytime. Metallica didnt want to deal with Axl´s lateness so it was an easy negotiation who went first. the opener was Faith No More on most dates.
I guess my memory is failing from 25 years ago, I take your word for it.

Yah, that's not how or why it happened or why Metallica played first. Thanks for playing.
I am nearly certain that they alternated who played first for each show.

No, they can't....the current RHCP configuration can't even sell out arenas in the States. Not sure about Green Day or FF being able to sell out stadiums (as a tour, not a one off), either. Hell GnR doesn't really sell out most stadiums it plays to be honest. They just move all the upper deck folks down and call it a sell out in the smaller markets.
RHCP sold out 3 nights at MSG in February in seconds - they might not be able to sell stadiums in smaller cities, but major metro areas for sure. Foo Fighters just had a tour of baseball stadiums last year, and in the major metro areas 2 nights.
Green Day - I'm not certain, but they used sell out football stadiums, just released a new album and started a major tour - they would be able to do stadiums in major metro areas in the Summer.

GNR, Foo Fighters, RHCP, Green Day
There's 4 groups that can sell out football stadiums anywhere.

No probably about it. 18 hour flight from Austrailia to Texas - they have shows before, day of, and after in Austrailia / New Zealand. They sure as hell aren't flying 36 hours to lip sync and play air guitar for a half time show that Axl has already made fun of. Maybe someday though...

There is a show in Brisbane the night of the superbowl. So... not this year.

Metallica is headlining the free Central Park show in September (Global Citizen) - was hoping GNR would get that slot. Thought there was a slight chance as it is a week after AC/DC wraps up in Phili and before GNR hit South America.

You really can't do it like that. For example MetLife and all the football stadiums, nearly 1/3 of the seats are behind or directly to the side of the stage and aren't sold. Granted, you need to account for people on the ground - but I don't think it's 1 to 1.

Not really, if you have a fake credit burner card there is no way to track.
No way to track your cash. But you are buying it through StubHub. StubHub could give two shits how you pay for it, but they guarantee the sale to you.

I can get a burner card right now and put up a ticket with any seat number.
and you'll be guaranteed that it's a good ticket.

Yeah but anyone can post an account and "say" they have tickets. Doesn't mean it's legit.
They are legit. Tickets are guaranteed. And these tickets available have seat numbers on them.

Then ticketmaster may be pulling tickets for the stubhub which they own no?
Not sure.. but that would make sense.

1 minute ago, BangoSkank said:
Was just going to post this, will someone fucking explain to me how tickets are on StubHub already?
It means we are in shitshow at 10am tomorrow morning because most of the venues are likely nearly sold out.
1 minute ago, gunsguy said:because they dont have tickets yet.... or season pass holders at stadiums are selling the ones they get?
Season pass holders at MetLife Stadium in NJ don't have rights to them as both the Jets and the Giants play there....
-
Stubhub = scalpers. So scalpers have already gotten tickets somehow and are already reselling.
-
I was Nightrain for Vegas, and you couldn't get any pit once they went on pre-sale. So I'm taking a wild guess there have already been a lot of tickets distributed already.
-
You can just go on stubhub yourself right now, and look up gnr tickets for several shows.. and there are plenty available. Obviously nightrain does not have as much of an inside track as they want you to believe.

Band sounds great, you just gotta wonder, does Axl really hear himself how awful he sounds. He can't hit the higher notes with any power at all, at least not after 4 songs into the set Lower the shit down an octave to something that he can handle. It is sad to listen to him.
