  1. all Guns N Roses discs redone? I would pay my life savings to hear it!

I would hope that all copies have been burned and discarded by now.

It's one thing to do a (shitty) "update" of a classic song you co-wrote like Slash did with "Paradise City"; it's another thing to basically re-record your albums note-for-note with a different lineup, you know what I mean?

If it was a good way for them to practice, cool; but if that story is true about Axl wanting to release a box set, then he made the right choice by abandoning that plan.

I don't see what the problem would be. I think that rerecorded bit of SCOM sounds pretty cool with Axl's "new" (at that time) vocals on it, and I'd love to hear what he sounds like on the others. It's not like they'd be hurting the original versions. They're still there.

It would tarnish the original in many peoples' eyes. Especially if you were just re-recording, not a re-imagining (a la Slash's Paradise City) AND releasing it under the name Guns N' Roses.

Not to mention Axl doesn't own ANY of the song sby himself. Slash, Izzy or Duff have credits on every one of the songs from Appetite. It would never would've been released, it's that simple.

I highly doubt it would've been Axl's choice either way. Geffen would never release something that would be as stupid/bad as rerecording one of the most famous/successful albums of all time with almost entirely different people.

Especially if they heard the same end of SCOM as I just did.

  3. you know a good Jim Carrey movie... Me, Myself and Irene, i think is better than the overrated Ace Ventura... I even like the later movies more Yes Man was great.

Nope. Ace Ventura is 5X better than Me, Myself and Irene.

  4. The only Jim Carrey movie I kinda liked was The Truman Show,

    This. The rest are crap

    Batman Forever? :tongue2:

I dunno, I like most of Carrey's films. I'll agree the earlier ones are goofy - Ace Ventura, Dumb and Dumber, even Liar Liar to a degree...

You'll agree those are goofy? THOSE are his good movies.

  5. Angelica, recommend me some films.

Nashville, Exotica, Persona, Harold & Maude, Secretary, The Bad Sleep Well, Exterminating Angel, Bad Lieutenant: I'm Wearing Swiss Cotton Underwear, A Band Apart, The Proposition, Walkabout, Rules of the Game, Trust, Simple Men, Amateur, Not Quite Hollywood, Take the Money and Run, Vampire's Kiss, Waiting for Guffman, 3 Women, McCabe & Mrs. Miller, The Parallax View, Five Easy Pieces, CQ, The Long Good Friday, Superfly, A Woman Under the Influence. ^_^

Where the hell are Midnight Run and Nightshift?

  6. Two movies, pretty much the same genre...

Happy Gilmore - unfunny and stupid, which is not a good combination. I don't think I've seen a good Adam Sandler flick yet and it's doubtful one even exists.

Paul Blart Mallcop - this was actually pretty decent. Had it's share of laughs and likable characters.

WTF are yout talking about? Happy Gilmore is epic!

  7. whatever his reason, its really fucking lame what he's doing here.

What's actually LAME is people trying to shut down and vilify an individuals honest opinion.....Especially from those who are obviously biased and would likely never be honest regarding the topic.

says the LAME troller who has nothing better to do than cupcake boards about bands he openly does not like.

:sleeper: Being honest doesn't equate to "openly not liking"....it's not being a biased drone.

If you can't see the difference....that's your problem. Is everyone riding unicorns, singing kumbaya and acting like everything is peachy regarding Axl & NuGnr the only thing that gives your life meaning? If not, please explain why you get a supersized cucumber up your ass whenever someones' opinion isn't up to your everything is peaches and cream standard?

  8. I doubt we're going to find out contractual specifics regarding what cut Axl (the band) gets.

I doubt it's as high as the other bands you mentioned though for a variety of reasons. A few being currect level of popularity/touring success and I wouldn't be surprised if promoters get more for the risk of promoting a GNR concert that has a reputation of having live problems and late starts.
