  1. these reviews are bullshit!!! OK - i wasn't there but what i saw on TV was superb-yes Axl was slightly breathless at the start of WTTJ- but i have heard his vocals sounding exactly the same way back in YUI days at times-GnR were NEVER about glossy perfection! the intro was strong however and so was the rest of the track! He still has that power!

All they go on about is how Axl has aged-isn't that normal!!??!!

It makes my fucking blood boil-the wankers.

  2. I have tickets for Brum- block 15 which is a front block-only 5 rows from the front

Iwon't be travelling down till later and by then it's too late to be in a good standing position so at least i am guaranteed a great view.

I wonder if they'll be any PA's in the UK? i may have to alter my arrangments!!! I hope there are more dates-good ticket sales might prompt more to be added. Cardiff would be a bonus-I'd def get tickets.

  3. I'm still holding out for some UK arena dates. I haven't booked tickets to Reading and Leeds, because I hate festivals.

But I'll be gutted if it turns out that they aren't doing anymore UK dates. I wouldn't be surprised if nothing was announced until after Reading and Leeds....

yes me too-i was hoping for more UK-but TBH it's almost July already-realistically is there time to announce and sell Uk dates for july? After Leeds/Reading will be too late-as the other dates are starting in September. Biggest anti- climax of the year for me-a total shitter-i had high hopes of some gigs :-(

I have decided to just try and forget it now and be happy for friends who ARE going to see them across Europe instead-I'll just have to bask in their excitement!

  6. Can't fucking wait!! :D

For people on the forum: I'll be twittering setlist and pictures (as much as I can and if I remember) just for you ;) My twitter ID is http://twitter.com/gods_favourite . I was hoping gunsguy would do the official thread, but it seems as though he wont anyways, since he hasn't answered my latest PM. So if anyone wants to make it and will be online during the concert to update the first post, be sure to check my twitter profile :)

I am sorry man, computer went down and now I am deathly ill. I am glad you posted your twitter to help out, I may check in while the show is on but as I was going to pm you I cannot commit to it :( Have a great time at the show regardless!!!

I noticed you were absent from the Sweden updates!! Hope you feel better soon :)

  7. Okay I can see what people are saying about English dates but when the Reading and Leeds dates were announced it was made clear that those are their only English dates this year so I don't know why people are getting their hopes up as it probably won't happen.

Nahh. They were probably just exaggerating when they said that, they probably meant Only festival. someone said a while back that apparently in 06, download's website said that it was gnrs only uk appearance in 06, and look what ahppened there, so dont believe it yet.

I read that the leeds/reading dates would be the bands only FESTIVAL appearances for the year in the UK-ambiguous enough to suggest that it wasn't the only uk appearance full stop.

I reckon london is in with a chance yet. If not-i expect i will try for Dublin.

Fuck Yes - THANKS FOR THE DUBLIN CONCERT!

Best news, just made my summer.

    Haha, me too

You seem like a guy who'd know, so which do you think would be the better one to go to?

I'm equally 2 hours away from both

And also, what kinda tickets should I be looking for?

I'm a scrawny 16 year old, so I'd probably get teh shit kicked outta me in the pit...never been to a concert though!

    Thanks

Both if you can afford it. The O2 is a brand new state of the art venue and has received amazing reviews. You should be fine standing, just avoid the pit where you WILL be thrown around like a rag doll.

Belfast might be cheaper to attend.

Hmmm, would like to do both myself as I'm in Donegal,so not much difference to both. I think the o2 will probably have it in sound quality, great reviews on this front. Now my 8 year old son will also be wanting to go with me (goes around singing you could be mine, chinese democracy or riad every day and watches T2 over and over). Whats the story there (I don't go to many big concerts), will it be ok to bring someone that young to a concert in the o2 or Odyssey. Guess it would, will probably need to get seats,as it will be too long for him to stand (depends on Axl being on time really i suppose).Good thing is that they will be in Ireland for a couple of days this time (unless Axl goes back to London), so there may be a chance to meet n greet some of the band or at least catch sight of the great man.

I def reccommend you get a seat- i took my son -whos older than yours to a Muse gig recently. We were in the pit and after hours of waiting when the band came on and the crowd went crazy he just couldn't stick it any longer so we got pulled out. that was a shame.the next concert i went to we had a front side block seat and he enjoyed it much more-which meant i did too!

if i was alone i would have stood but anyone with a child-it's tough.

  8. i was looking into the possibility of leeds festival myself, and whilst pricing it up i looked into coach travel versus trains.

I noticed at the official festival website that there will be shuttle buses running every 15 minutes from leeds main coach station-for only about £4 per journey-no need to pre-book a ticket you can just pay the fare on the day. They are running right through into Monday after the festival and apparently drop you closer to the entrance of the festival than any other transport is allowed-so you wouldn't have to worry about getting to and from the actual venue.

  9. I was hoping for a London show, ah well. Still got Reading :D I may just have to go to Leeds as well if there isnt a London date.

I posted this earlier but it ties in with what you said.

I wouldn't worry too much. Bands usually treat the UK and Ireland dates as a seperate part to the European tour because, well, it's the UK and Ireland, plus we aren't part of mainland Europe. There's that big gap between June 29th and August 27th to fill in as well, I seriously doubt the band will use that as a holiday and risk being a bit sluggish for Reading.

Also, just a few of these dates are really confirmed. For all we know, this might not be how the tour unfolds.

Maybe these are tentative dates that just might go through the way it's planned.

I think these would be the confirmed dates:

    2 Norway dates

    1 Finland date

    1 Sweden date

    2 UK dates

    2 Russian dates (highly probable)

These dates came via the Russian promoter, that poster was originally from their website.

So if those are legit I'm guessing they all are.

Still a BIG gap in July-August that could see Spain, Portugal, England, Ireland, Scotland etc., other parts of Europe that aren't listed, and France (although the Sept. 1st rumour might mean an even longer tour??).

More euro shows the better, I mean we got 13 in Canada, you gotta figure Europe will get a lot more than that with the higher population density.

Lets hope so that these dates are true....I would be surprised that they go all the way through without some sort of small break..Agreed Kyrie we can also hope for dates in Spain, UK, (England, Scotland) Ireland, France..possible more dates in Germany, lets not forget Greece and Turkey. That could be another 17/18 more dates. Hope to see some of u there. Hope to see a few surprise shows to. Great tour this is

Oh yes!! i am praying for dates in France and Germany-for friends- and more Uk dates for MEEEE!

  10. I'd like to say, firstly, that these videos are great and I really appreciate having them. Having said that, where is Axl? It'd be nice to see him somewhere. Also, listening to them jam would've been better than listening to better haha

i'd guess that when this was filmed he MAY well been in the room that had the signs- bands dressing room & womens bathroom
