  1. Can I get some recommendations for Mickey Rourke films not named Barfly or The Wreslter? I need to catch up.

Angel Heart. It'd be weird if you hadn't seen it yet, though. It's my favourite non-Kubrick film. Alan Parker directed so you know it goes off.

  2. Trail of Dead: Source Tags & Codes

    Arctic Monkeys: Humbug

    Big Black: Songs About Fucking

    Shellac: 1000 Hurts

    Dr. Dre: The Chronic

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club: Beat the Devil's Tattoo

The Prodigy: Fat of the Land

The White Stripes: White Blood Cells

    Pixies: Doolittle

    Gorillaz: Plastic Beach

Kasabian: West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum

    Pavement: Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain

Modest Mouse: This Is A Long Drive For Someone With Nothing To Think About

    Happy Mondays: Bummed

    Nine Inch Nails: The Fragile

Not all of these are their best albums, but each is the greatest starting point I can think for the artist.

  3. In Throught the Out Door gave a pretty good idea of what direction they were heading. Less guitars and more keyboards. Jones took over the creative direction of the band during Plant's rough times and Pages drug abuse.

    Nope

Page mention on an interview, if the band still alive, they wanna do a much rocker album. Something like the early days, but heavier.

Absolutely right. This evidenced by some of the outtakes of those sessions like Wearing and Tearing, one of Zeppelin's heaviest tunes ever. Page wanted another album like Presence, but much heavier.

Weren't those outtakes from older albums? I guess it all depended on whether Page got over his drug problem.

Wearing and Tearing was a shitty song IMO. I think Presence was their worse album.

Every time this is brought up someone always says this shit. Yes, some were from older albums - Wearing and Tearing wasn't, though.
