  1. I watched Casablanca yesterday. :book:

    On TVE? :P Me too

Lord of WAr. Andrew Niccol's style is pretty sleek but I guess he's a writer/director in an age of executive producers.

A pretty decent flick, must admit when I went to go see it I wasn't expecting it to be much.

  2. Oh, FFS, *seriously*!?! Kurt rejected Axl's praise and overtures of friendship, that's why Axl "hated" him. He knew how talented he was, he was pimping the band and Nevermind all over the place before that. :rofl-lol:

You're not defending the dickhead (Cobain) are you? Dude sucked ass...we all knew it and Axl knew it! What a dick he was. Shit ass boring music. All he did was bitch and whine. Axl wrote about chicks and partying....Kurt was oh so "serious".....ohhhh. So cool.....NOT!

This seems really important to you.

  3. might be tough to top TDK, but dogshit it won't be, ye can be sure of that.

I'm not sure it will be tough, it looks great.Tom Hardy as Bane is inspired, finally a villain with real physical presence.

yeah, but Bane is one Batman's weakest villians, in terms of Q ratings. Not trying to be negative, but Batman has so many great villains and I think if you do Bane you HAVE TO DO the Knightfall story (Which is great).

    Nail on the head.

Nolan's Batman films have been pure shite.

  4. The Boy In The Striped Pajamas- Great movie. That ending...

    Really? :o

It was way too unrealistic and took so many liberties that I was laughing the entire time. We had to watch it class (go figure, right? :rofl-lol:)

No educational value whatsoever so it's kind of ridiculous to watch it in class, but I didn't dare say anything because everyone was so enthralled by it.

  5. I can't say I really tolerate MM after 2000 though, eh..just not my cup of tea.

Their first 3 studio LPs are flawless though!

Ah man, I love We Were Dead. "March Into the Sea", "Dashboard", and "Spitting Venom" are some of my favorites from them.

The debut is actually the only album from them I haven't heard (love the other four, though). I've heard "Dramamine" but nothing past that. May have to change that tonight.

The Lonesome Crowded West is one of my favorite albums ever. I think "Long Distance Drunk" is the only song from that album I don't like. The rest are all great.

Those tracks just don't sit well with me for some reason, but TLCW is one ass-kicking album. And you should remedy that debut issue asap :P

  6. if you like him Jack i want a reccomendation, who the fucks Isaac Brooks? Gimme an album!

    :rofl-lol: I'm flattered!

He's the lyricist/singer/guitarist for Modest Mouse from the Pacific Northwest!

Check out their debut album - This Is A Long Drive For Someone With Nothing To Think About

(yeah I know, title may seem like rubbish but I'll let you know one thing...it's fucking true. An album for flights and that ordeal if there ever was one)

Some fans would recommend their "supposed" magnum opus and all that jazz, but I really think you should shoot for the debut!

I can't say I really tolerate MM after 2000 though, eh..just not my cup of tea.

All credit goes to Snake Eyes for introducing them to me!!

  7. You're from somewhere in Europe right JJF? Fuckin come over man, flights from your ends are cheap as chips, people from Portugal and Poland and what have you come over on 30 quid flights and that, can't cost you ever so much...and it's the fuckin Roses man, you need to do this! :)

Life would have been a lot easier had I stayed in Europe  but naw, I'm a US citizen and pretty much grounded here until this summer or something. I'll see how I can resolve this situation so I can somehow get myself to a show!
