  1. :headbang::headbang::headbang: Axl Rose & Slash Will Appear Together On Jimmy Kimmel, Reunion In Works For Years :headbang::headbang::headbang:

Jimmy Kimmel has confirmed that Axl Rose will be appearing on his show tomorrow via his website. He also followed Axl Rose and Slash, confirming that the legendary Guns N’ Roses members will end their decades long feud and reunite on his Tuesday night show. Recent rumors have dated back the reconciliation between the two to before Guns N’ Roses’ 2014 Las Vegas residency, with this 2016 reunion being in the works for 2 years.

Lol, there's ZERO chance that Slash could pop up there...

I despise this Brett Buchanan guy, he is a joke

Why would there be zero chance? What makes you say something like that?

  2. has anyone seen this photo? They claim it has been very recent. It has been in the tabloids here today; stating that Axl would need to get in much better shape for the new guns tour ;)

    http://www.blick.ch/people-tv/fotostory/guns-n-roses-comeback-ist-axl-rose-fit-fuer-die-buehne-id4515149.html

Yeah, everyone has seen it, it was posted a milion times here. Jesus, that's in the press? Media is plain riduculous

  3. Don't get the line-up bitching. If this is not just a melancholy reunion tour of the original band just to say goodbye but instead a new partnership that plans on building nad creating something new, it's great, it couldn't get any better.

If they're gonna pick up the best of their solo work and work on it to make it a part of Guns and if they are preparing a line-up that could work for them in the future, it's a blast! Much better then a few old guys just playing Appettite songs a milionth time.

  4. Dave Kushner? Why, man? That makes no fucking sense. I have nothing against him at all, but seriously... why?

A bald guitarist with a bald drummer would be the last thing I would like to see in a GUNS N' ROSES Reunion.

Because you hate bald people, right?

Nope. For me Guns N' Roses was all about Long Hair, I know its 2016 now and not the 80's. Matt has short hair now and it does suits on him, basically Frank and Dave won't fit the GNR image.

You're joking with the importance of hair in GNR, right?

  5. People bitching about not taking Adler on tour? People bitching about Izzy? Guys,Izzy said no. Period. Adler can't be trusted. Are you seriously saying any one of you would would risk $70 million on Adler? Go fuck yourself. Shut up and take the reunion, it's happening.

But you are not even risking $70 million!! You put Adler on contract, with a good behaviour clause, and if he screws up (e.g turns up stoned), you cancel the contract and call Sorum! How could a reunion tour lose x number of millions because of Adler - please somebody answer me that as people seem to be stating it as a truism?

I would agree if Adler was remade a legal partner, who could then theoretically launch a lawsuit and get the tour stopped, but we know that would never happen and Adler will be under contract.

And we do not know what Izzy has said: we do not even know if Izzy has been asked!

What makes you think that Sorum or whoever would be pleased to be a substitute and tour around the world to watch other man play? Besides, let's face it, the guys know much better what state Adler is in than any of us here. And if they don't take him, that probably means he's a fuck up and no point bothering...

  6. Lafon just tweeted that it's Axl, Slash, and Duff, then Fortus, Kushner, Frank, Dizzy, and Pitman. Whether that means anything or not..

Now people belive Lafon? Earlier some said he didn't know anything. Why Kushner? Was this Slash's doing? I mean I guess it doesn't matter since people are mostly paying for Slash,Axl and (kind of) Duff.

Kushner just made a tweet and this Lafon guy is making crap up out of it.

    Good. What did he say?

  7. Don't start me talking about the fuck ups Axl made over the years, but still he is great? and Adler is the bad one?

Have I ever said anywhere which of them is better as a person or any bullshit of that kind? All I'm saying is he ain't fir for the tour. Hopefully Axl is and even if he's not he cannot be replaced, Adler can easily. That's the unjust difference between lead singers and drummers.

  8. frank will be the drummer because he knows how to play all the songs from appetite till CD adler would have to learn use your illusion/CD/SI and matt would have to learn chinese democracy.

Its not that complicated you know? Any good drummer can learn how to play songs, not a big deal.

It's sort of amusing that the majority of GnR fans seem to think Frank is a terrible drummer. But other professional musicians give the guy tons of props for his drumming skills.

    Frank is an excellent drummer.

I really don't get your fixation with Frank. But well each to their own.

I din't like Matt during the illusions Era, but over the year his style has gotten better, he plays the GNR songs in a much better way now. I would still like to see Adler.

I know its 2016 now and all of us have grown up, but seriously that bald head doesn't fits to the GNR image.

As far as GNR drummers ,for me it starts and ends with Adler. I'll give props to Sorum though and would take him over Frank. Frank screams bar band. Adler lives and breathes GNR. He IS GNR. Maybe it's me but I've yet to meet a single fan in real life over 35 that was around for AFD that prefers Frank. Only on this board do they seem to exist. Adler's style and groove cannot be duplicated.

I don't think anyone here said they prefered Frank over Adler in GNR. The point is that Adler is a complete fuck-up.

Don't be that harsh on Adler, when it comes to playing, Adler is awesome as fuck, he can still play, go to youtube and watch videos of Adlers Appetite and his band ADLER, he is SPOT ON on all of them. His problem is that he just has a big mouth, but well over the years Axl and Slash have said things too. Axl and Slash are not saints either.

From what I've heard Duff trusted him not so long ago and he fucked everything up right on the very first day...

That was back in 2011, people change you know?

And how many fuck ups would it take for you to stop trusting someone that he's changed? Cause Adler's been saying that for about 20 years now..

  11. Trying to recall some chronology here, hope you guys can help me. If auntie google ain't fooling me the HOF induction was 2012 (though iI'm a bit surprised, thought it was 2013 actually). The Vegas residency and last nuGNR shows were somewhat in May 2014. Was Duff in Vegas? He joined Axl for the tour not long before that right?

Do I remember correctly that at the time of the HOF induction Duff and Axl were already on speaking terms?

  12. He doesnt owe anyone weight loss or improved vocals, regardless of peoples sense of entitlement on here.

I agree about the weight, but his voice, seriously? Isn't it a professional singer's responsability to deliver a good vocal performance to a paying audience?
So what has Bob Dylan's excuse been for 40 years? He may be a great song writer but he cannot sing for shit.

    In your opinion.

    mine too

why 2 mystery players? i musta missed something 10 pages back lol did izzy and steve say they aint doin it?

The only people known to be part of it are Axl, Slash, and Duff. The rest is kinda up in the air. There are lots of rumors.

Consensus seems to be Adler will be allowed to play the first show, maybe more, and Izzy might be at the first one and guest here and there.

was just wondering why the thread title says its not a reunion tour though. re-banded but not a reunion? huh? and whats this shit im reading about taco bell? hahahaha

Was kinda a joke because people were getting their panties in a bunch about calling it a reunion without Izzy and Adler being in it for sure.

well either way, it would be an axl/slash reunion... cant imagine anyone being too butt hurt over adler not being part of it and if izzy isnt around then its by choice... i imagine theyll both be part of it in some capacity though... i just dont see axl ditching guys like fortus and frank since theyve both been loyal members since joining

He had no problem whatssoever ditching Dj and Bumble so this is more than unlikely to be the reason...

  13. What is at stake here? All they have to do is draft in Sorum if Adler screws up. Adler could theoretical only cripple one show.

Don't forget that both Duff and Slash are addicts themselves and will always be. They shouldn't be around junkies and alkoholics. Adler can potentially screw much more than a song...

I hardly think being around a, now sober, Adler will automatically break Slash's ten year sobriety, more so Duff - now twenty years sober and a fitness fanatic! If anything, the presence of Adler's speech impediment is a walking advertisement for temperance. Assuming Adler is still using, do you think he is going to arrive in their rehearsal space with a bag of junk, three hypodermic needles and a needle and say, ''nice to be back - now, let's continue where we left off''?

If he's still using he will come with a bunch of drug dealers following their every step and waiting for that one moment of weakness to take good use of it. Don't forget Scott's addiction broke Duff's sobriety, not that it wasn't already strong by then. Addiction leaves you vulnerable for the rest of your life and you need to be careful.

Plus, there's all legal issues, possible lawsuits and other shit related to Steven's involvement that noone sane would like to be dealing with.

This is supposed to be a tour and a musical celebration and a huge business, not an act of charity or mercy for one drug-damaged drummer...

I think he is sober but assuming you are correct, my argument still stands: give him a chance and if he arrives with a drug habit, kick him off the tour and draft in Matt. It is that simple. In actual fact I very much doubt how much contact any of these people will have with each other. They will all go off in separate limos and never see each other except at show time.

I think you're wrong and they'll have more contact than you think. But nevermind. Look at the second part of my post. What about lawsuits and other shit once he is thrown out? Who wants to deal with that?

He would be on salary anyway, contracted, if the legal arrangement of the partnership (i.e. Axl, Slash and Duff) is what is being revived. It should not be that hard to draft some clause pertaining to his sobriety.

That he will later question in court with a bunch of lawyers and there you go... Plus all the comments and bitching in all the media. Everyone knows what is Axl's attitutde to it. Sorry, too much at risk, as far as I'm concerned.

  16. If Axl has a problem with Matt (and he definitely had back in the days), I'd rather have whoever else. The last thing I'd want is for it to fall apart because of this or that unoriginal drummer...

Neve, Axl and Matt did meet each other in 2007 and hung around, so they are cool with each other.

Yeah they were both at a club and they talked and Axl even gave him a ride back to Sorum's place or something

Yesterday I drank with a guy and wished him a Happy New Year and it was cool and nice and I could even probably give him a lift home and yet were I made to work with him for one day I would surely throw everything I had in my hands right into his face before the end of the working day. It is two completely different things.

Anyway, I don't care about Matt and never did for a second so whoever is there, I'm fine with it. Matt never did the GNR sound any good anyway.
