  1. I care about how I support others, how they reach a conclusion. How I'm perceived in interactions to a certain degree.

My job gets real stressful sometimes though. So much so I need a break every now and then and may consider leaving in a fleeting thought. For the most part, love it.

  2. Fuck this, man! Who's in Guns N' Roses and who's not?! Is it so hard to spit it out?

I don't think no one knows, really. It seems that even the Lebeis are gone - from management, at least -, so I'd say no one is really safe. Maybe Dizzy and Pitman, but that's all. And Axl, of course.

Where's all the beta is gone stuff coming from? The apparent firing a few weeks ago or is there more?

  3. I'm no expert but you've got to wonder. An air strike simply can't say for certain no civilians won't be caught in the attack on ISIS. It's not like they're going to have a ruled out area where only terrorists roam. For this reason - air strikes are ruled out. How does America intervene without killing civilians? It seems impossible.

Will ISIS stop it's killings of innocent people as well as journalists from America and the UK if the troops were to withdraw completely? Nope. It's a dammed if you do, damned if you don't situation.

  4. No, but you certainly are their's. You wouldn't last 5 minutes walking around their parts.

And if we put the shoe on the other foot for a moment and let me ask you a question.

If they had bombed the shit out of your neighborhood for years on end how would you feel about them when they came over for a cup of tea? You'd be ok with that? Would you be all inviting or would you still be a bit pissed off that their bombs had killed your Mother, Father, Brother, Sister, Son, Daughter and the rest of most of the people you hold dear?

    And then stole your oil.
  5. And who are the aggressors?

The ones who fly and float miles across the ocean to bomb people into the stone age for oil.

One could argue the US and it's allies have been the aggressors to an evil terrorist organisation...for the greater good.

One could also say that the US and it's Allies have been flying across the world engaging in imperialism and profiteering on the back of strife and unrest around the world, you could also say they're war mongers, you could also say they kill a lot of people, a helluva lot of people to keep your fridges cool back home, you could say a lot of things.

I do wonder where ISIS will hide when the raids come. Most likely in a densely populated civilian area, making any air strike a mass homicide of innocent people..

And y'know what, they'll bomb the shit out of it anyway, what does that say about them? I mean lets get this right here, hiding men don't kill, the bombs being dropped on the hiding men kill. I mean the sheer nerve of that perspective, like they're up there in helicopters, sobbing into their palms as they carpet bomb the fuck out of miles of land, yeah, course.

They don't give a flying fuck and y'know why? Cuz they're poor people, cuz there's no money in em. They're 'collateral damage'. But when a plane flies into a skyscrapers and kills thousands thats not collateral damage, when a bomb goes off in a bus in London that ain't collateral damage. What collateral damage really means is people that aren't worthy of your mercy. Iraqi babies have a price you see.

It's all for oil then is it!? you sound like an American yourself.

And those who sever heads of journalists?or line up and put bullets in thousands of peoples heads for being the wrong religion? Or threaten nations with terrorism?

Some people will only see the US as the enemy. :shrugs:

  6. And who are the aggressors? The big bad American government? Just about everyone involved have been the aggressors. Not necessarily one "side" before the other. One could argue the US and it's allies have been the aggressors to an evil terrorist organisation...for the greater good.

I do wonder where ISIS will hide when the raids come. Most likely in a densely populated civilian area, making any air strike a mass homicide of innocent people..

  7. You lot really get shook up by this shit eh?

Thinking of joining the Islamic State?

If i did I'd probably be able to smell the shit in your pants from over here

There's this distinct undercurrent of fear and panic i notice in people, people in the western world, over this kinda shit, it's really quite funny, if I may say so. I'm not talking about you here Georgy, was joking bout the shitty pants, or particularly anyone on the forum, just a broader observation regarding media but like...I noticed the ones who shout the loudest about 'bomb them' etc etc are the biggest fuckin' pussies.

I mean there's countries over in the east that have been bombed and bombed and bombed and bombed and bombed and these people just...get on with their lives. The way we fuckin' shit our pants, it's hilairious, mauve alert, amber alert, off white/eggshell alert, it's fuckin' ridiculous...and this shit is happening miles and miles and miles away.

Looks to me like the fear of a peoples that know they done something wrong...or rather have had something wrong done in their name.

It amazes me that nations so bold in their aggression are so fearful of attack, even when there is hardly the presence of one.

I'd like to think people are actually more aware, concerned and show a degree of compassion..especially nowadays. Much different than getting shook up. As for the people shouting bomb em, that's a different story..

Of course people are going to be scared - we live in a part of the world where mass scale warfare is not a regular occurrence. I watched a doc on 9/11 on the anniversary, I'm sure people still have a bit of fear. A recent terrorist plan was uncovered by Iraqi intelligence officials to bomb Paris and New York subways. Of course there is "fear"

  8. Sorry, I'm too stupid to split quotes. Your first point: if I could post names and posts about people bashing/criticizing... Axl about the old songs, I could prove that I'm right imo, but that's nitpicking. I would be delving in old threads because GNR has been on a break for a while, so it hasn't been mentioned these last weeks (that I've noticed anyway).

Yes, you could prove it but like I said, it's not about that. When someone states it happens everyday, then it happens everyday. It should only take 5 minutes to find what it was supposedly happening everyday. You don't want to do it, I understand but I will insist that it has never happened because... that's right, it never happened.

I'm pretty sure I'm not confusing this forum with another one, because this is the only one I've been reading (except TheGNRforum, but only general discussion threads so far).

And it was my perception that Slash didn't play GNR songs, so my bad if I totally misinterpreted it. If I read that Slash has moved on and has made so much great music since GNR (I don't dispute that), it is my perception that Slash doesn't rely on GNR anymore. I was just surprised to see that he still plays a lot of GNR stuff, again to me, because I know others think five songs aren't a lot.

Your perception, was based on "what you read in this forum". They're your own words, not mine so it's impossible that you read that Slash plays next to no Gn'R songs. I don't know what you could have misinterpreted that lead you to think he didn't play Gn'R songs anymore. Since when? It doesn't make sense.

Slash has moved on, do you see him dwelling on the fact that he left Guns N' Roses in 1996? I mean, what does that have to do with him playing songs from the band he helped build? He also plays Snakepit and Velvet Revolver songs, is he dying to put Snakepit back together or to reunite with Scott Weiland for a VR tour? I don't get it. So now, 5 songs out of 20, are "a lot" to you. :rofl-lol: I'm doing my best to be reasonable but I just can't understand your logic.

Slash doesn't rely on Gn'R anymore, he doesn't sell products associated with Gn'R, he doesn't promote his band as Gn'R, he just plays the songs he helped write in that band as part of the full set list. It's not like he's playing 100% Gn'R songs all the time and even if he did, he has that right. :shrugs:

I don't hate on Myles, but I'd rather hear Axl sing GNR songs. It's nothing personal, there's no one I'd rather have singing those songs. I know it's all subjective and it's fine that you think Myles sounds infinitely better than Axl, I don't feel the need to put you down because of it.

I never said you hate Myles, you don't necessarily hate someone just because you don't like how they perform a song or two. I'm not even his fan, I don't think he sounds good on Gn'R songs, I just think that, in comparison with current Axl, he does a 1000000x better job.

Finally, I'm not putting you down because you prefer the out of breath cracking vocals forgetting lyrics performance of Axl Rose. You can like whatever you want. It's not my business.

^ The volcano of slash fans.

  9. I'm the exact opposite..Got a lot to say about this game. Seems like it has split a lot of people. Love it or hate it kind of thing.

This game clearly was inspired by classic titles, the point, wave, dance etc was a deliberate Dark Souls mechanic.

One influence I've seen no one draw attention to is just how much it borrows from classic doom. Halo was never that far detached but destiny hits the nail on the head. The varied but distinctive alien races and divisions, (it's enemy design is one of my absolute favourite things) their projectile and sometimes homing weapons, the fast movement speed. The hellish environments. It's all very doomy.

My first strike mission - the moon one. That left me in awe. Fucking awesome, lengthy, challenging experience.

Met the Vex for the first time last night. About shat myself. Play on hard or go home. The challenge is real. :)

    More thoughts soon,on phone atm.
