  1. I think it's pretty shitty the way that the media has mis-portayed Axl's actions during the recent Reading, Leeds, and Dublin shows. It's as if they don't care that they are negatively impacting one's life and livelihood with their gutter journalism. Instead of them praising Axl's heroism in getting his band-mates off-stage while being attacked with plastic cups full of "unknown" substances, they instead paint him as some sort of insensitive asshole who cares about no one but himself. Instead of them praising his dedication to the fans for not putting on a show until he is fully ready to give his best performance, they criticize him for being a dickhead who makes his fans pointlessly wait for hours. Their willingness to put a negative spin on a positive situation just to make a buck is disgusting.

Do any of you think the media's misportrayal of events will negatively impact a US tour (assuming that they plan to at some point)? Or is the public just brainwashed in to thinking this is just par for the course with Axl?

    heroism?

    wtf is wrong with you?

  2. why is axl still touring chinese democracy? ten years is a long f'n time to tour ANY one album! i'm sure that i'm not the only one who thinks that these chinese democracy tours are starting to get a little stale. and before anyone bashes me for being honest, i just want to say that i don't think that it's unfair of me, as a fan, to wish that a band that i liked was a little more productive and ambitious. touring behind one album for ten years and fifteen studio tracks in seventeen years leaves ALOT to be desired!

Did HV not warn you yesterday? Thought you had enough fun at your forum, guess not...

    Hi BBA.

    nope but another assclown....

i got a warning yesterday, but the guy who warned me called me JB, so i'm assuming he thinks i'm someone else. i'm a first time member here, so if you're implying i'm someone from the past, you are wrong. btw, who you calling assclown you pencil neck looking geek? how about staying on the thread's discussion instead of playing some hard ass that you are not.

lol probably my favorite post since coming to this forum

  3. Alright, how would you like to work 3 more hours tomorrow so Justin Bieber can do an uber cool concert in your town ? He might show up late, but that's ok.

sure, what do I care if that 3 hours is gonna make me $200

  4. this.

both times he came to Edmonton, it was all over the radio that it was going to be late, and the city announced that they would run the train for everyone to get home, as late as needed, even though the ticket said 8PM. in 06, the train ran until 2am, just for the show, rather than midnight, or 1230 when it regularly shuts down.

Come on...Do you really think that this is NORMAL ?

That the city and train workers have to work later just so one person can have it his way ? This is crazy...

For the record, I don't give a fuck that he's late because if I go to a GnR concert I know what to expect, but the fact that some people who don't actually benefit from the concert have to work later just so he can show up late, that's incredible.

of course they benefit. they get paid double time, if you think a person isn't happy about being paid double time, you're crazy.

  5. He ALWAYS starts the shows LATE. ALWAYS. ITS THE BUYERS RESPONSIBILITY TO RESEARCH ANY PRODUCT HE/SHE BUYS BEFORE HE/SHE BUYS IT.

DID YOU EVER CONSIDER THAT MAYBE AXL TELLS THE PROMOTORS HE WONT BE ON UNTIL AFTER MIDNIGHT, AND THEY PUT WHATEVER TIME THEY WANT ON THE TICKET ANYWAY??

    this.

  6. Madagascar live blew me away compared to the 06 show I was at

I'd have to say This I Love, Madagascar, and If The World.

Madagascar is a whole different animal when it's live. I had never been much of a fan of the song before I saw Guns live in Hamilton, but when they played it...it was so powerful and amazing. It's one of my favorite songs off of the album now.

I agree with every word you just said about maddy. Something about it live was just mind blowing

  7. I'm not here because of Axl Rose. I became a fan of Guns N Roses after I bought Appetite For Destruction on cassette in 1988. I didn't even know who Axl Rose was. All I knew was that the record was suppose to be really good and so, on a whim, I bought it.

The band and sound....as a whole, is why I became a fan.

Newsflash, those guys aren't in the band anymore - sorry to break it to you like this! It's only Axl Rose that's left from your favorite line-up, you're on the wrong site! A few of the other guys got together and formed a band called 'Velvet Revolver'... here check them out: http://www.velvetrevolver.com/

    Take care man, bye.

    you are a moron

  8. I do, 6 hours east of Sturgis (too far to go solo). Im wondering how many U.S. GNR fans are either left out to try or forced to travel several states to go see their only show in the country this year. I also wonder what compelled them to pick the motorcycle rally in Sturgis out of all the festivals this summer. Im sure there will be quite a few travellers on this forum, guess I want to see how dedicated some of you are and partly want to find someone to go out there with me if passing through the southeast corner of the state.

I will be passing through on the 9th, on my way back from Chicago

  9. fuck me, I will be driving back through SD on my way back from Lollapalooza......i think my holiday may have just been extended.

fuckin alice in chains the same day as gnr that is fuckin awesome

  10. I'd love to be able to go on August 6th and 8th to be able to see Lady Gaga and Soundgarden, but unfortunately, Chicago is 12 hours out of my way.

bah, its 30 hours out of my way, taking a week off work, and will be there for the whole weekend, its gonna be a fucking insane party!

real stoked for soundgarden, green day, and wolfmother

    not so stoked for gaga

I'll probly be spending her set at the lederhosen biergarten

  11. Sounds great. Guitars sound better than Slash's.

    you're an idiot

He's not an idiot, he's a retarded asshole (pardon my French here). He can't be serious.

The original is much, much better, this is just embarrassing all the way through...

You Slash fans are a crazy bunch. You actually call people assholes for thinking one guitarist is better than another. You're the third person I've seen do it today. Grow the fuck up.

you are an idiot too. No one called anyone an asshole for thinking one guitar player is better than another. He was called an idiot, and an asshole because he made a retarded comment, and comparing a thirteen second clip (that sounds like garbage btw) to the original guitarist, who wrote and perfected the guitar on that song.

not to take anything away from new gnr, I love them. and if Slash busted out the solo from twat, I wouldn't say it was better then buckets solo, cause I am not an idiot.

this band has a rich history of excellent guitar players, and for some reason, there are a few of you on this forum, who are too blind to realize(or accept) that.
