Definitely Axl. Way much power than Stevens

Qué felicidad la concha de la lora, que adentro la tienen todos los antis hijos de puta!!! Vamos GN'R!!!
THIS!!
-
Coachella "Hot to purchase" page crash down since several minutes.
Well, looks like we have a relevant GNR again?
-
I GOTTA SAY IT:
BEING A GNR FUCKING FAN IS THE BEST FUCKING THING IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Fuuuuuuck!!! Slash just posted on Fb!!
-
Agreed completely highvoltage. I'm just not really sure what to think right now.Come on guys, this is perfect.
Where else can you get this kind of entertainment? Am I the only one sitting back just straight out laughing at how "GN'R" this series of events have been?
Did any of us honestly think we'd see things go off without a hitch? This is how it has always been and always will be.
On one hand, everything over the last few months has pointed towards a reunion. On the other hand, today was a huge buzzkill and a sad reminder of how we as GNR fans usually end up more disappointed by the band. Let's see what happens.. I'm praying it's a good announcement.
"Laughing"??? I'm here almost having a heart attack!!
-
If this 'announcement' is just a clarification that Axl *will not* be appearing on Kimmel, I swear to God I'm going to throw my shoe out the window so hard it's going to hit Axl in the head in Malibu. (I live in Chicago).
Quite the opposite, I'll thank god if it is "only" this.
-
Maybe because correct information would be "Axl Rose AND Saul Hudson"?
-
There've been threads about this before, but since it's pretty much real now, I figured I'd post this in here...
I'm including a CD song and a VR song for shits and giggles, but I highly doubt they'd actually get played.

3 Million a show, and 25+ stadium shows...
Then what? Sail off into retirement?
Axl Needs cash, Slash and Duff most likely don't, they work constantly.
This kind of makes me feel sick.
Its against EVERYTHING the band most of us knew and loved stood for.
There won't be new music, just the Hits.
Hey, where have we seen that before?
Bla Bla Bla Bla
Slash is rejoining Guns N' FUCKING Roses and there are people talking shit!

And one of the greatest songs ever desicrated by bands with none of the wit and musical subtlty to execute it as well as Les Fabulous Rolling Stones of Richmond. Literally every cover of it i have ever seen has totally wankered it.
I just prefer GNR's version, way better.

This essay is brilliant: http://www.stereogum.com/1844250/heres-why-id-hate-a-guns-n-roses-reunion/franchises/essay/
Particularly these ending paragraphs:
Most disheartening of all, though, is what this reunion would mean for Axl Rose’s legacy: He’d be downgrading from “paranoid, perfectionistic, and tyrannical” to “acquisitive, avaricious, and cynical.” He’d be evolving from “genuine eccentric” to “just another middle-aged musician trading on nostalgia, trying to cash in while cash is still on the table.” He’d be dismissing the goodwill of every fan who dedicated serious time to Chinese Democracy, every fan who heard that spoken-sung Count Chocula accent and wondered, How and why the holy hell did he come up with THAT? After spending more than 11 years and $13 million on Chinese Democracy, he’d be disowning the thing. His magnum opus, disavowed. More than a decade of his life, tossed aside in favor of rehashing songs he co-wrote when he was 23 years old, when Ronald Reagan was in office. He’d be betraying us a little bit, but he’d be betraying himself a whole lot more. He’d also be shutting the door on those Chinese Democracy sequels. In the case of the remix album, that’s probably a good thing. Nobody wants that. I’m not even sure anybody would release that. But I, for one, was sincerely and eagerly looking forward to hearing the “second half” of Chinese Democracy, irrespective of how the world at large might respond to such a proposition. I mean it! I didn’t expect that album to yield a vast trove of great music, but Axl Rose rarely puts his name on anything that’s not at least pretty good and inherently interesting. Furthermore, the very existence of both those albums — even if they existed chiefly in Axl Rose’s imagination — suggested an artist altogether unmoored from reality, and therefore, an artist guided by an idiosyncratic muse, an artist uninterested in making a profit or pleasing anyone.
Scoff all you like, but those choices require an almost religious-fanatical commitment; a commitment to a deluded worldview, yes, but a commitment that’s all too rare in art today. We need more musicians like batshit Axl Rose: musicians who pursue their vision at any cost, financial or personal. We don’t need more reunion tours: reprehensible cash-grabs that spurn integrity and monetize nostalgia. If caring about music is supposed to mean something — anything — we need at least a handful of unyielding, unreasonable, uncompromising iconoclasts to give it definition, to give us direction. Where do we go? Where do we go now?
I couldn't agree more.

Duff with Billy Idol -- White Wedding & Rebel Yell:
So it seems Duff is already growing his hair for a Reunion with original GNR look!!

Offers are happening all over the world, lets pray it becomes a reality.
Offers have ALWAYS happened all over the world, all the time.

I'd be very interested in this. Be great if they could continue the releases to give us material from throughout the years, a little bit like Kiss did with Kissology.
Ideally they could pick tracks from throughout the era to cover all band members. Be great to have more official releases with Brain, Finck, Bucket and Bumble, although I'm personally not fussed about Ashba...
House of Blues 2001. Nothing else.

Oh but I'd love them to play Better, Madagascar or Prostitute. I was talking about ChiDem the song, which is awful.
I can't see Axl agreeing with a reunion without playing Chinese Democracy songs...No KOHD, No Live And Let Die, no Chinese Democracy, no This I Love, no Sorry.
Bring back the Talkbox on Rocket Queen.
Are you kidding? ChiDem, the song is the best song of the album!
ChiDem the song is definitely in the bottom 5, it was a good song in 2002 but the intro, and especially the fretless guitar fucked up the album version. The antiquiet leak is probably the best version.
Which one is exactly this antiquiet leak?
Any link?

Best possible legacy from post-2000 era GNR would be HOB 2001 DVD. Period.

http://www.alternativenation.net/another-guns-n-roses-member-may-be-out/ dear god please be "Neil" pitman.
I'd love to see Fortus playing with the old line-up, if a reunion occurs.
Don't know if is it just me, but sometimes, since we all here followed the NewGNR for so many years, I think that a Fortus+Frank + old guys would be nicer than a "pure" original reunion.
Would be also a "safer" medium term between Axl and Slash, for things not to fall apart during a possible tour - despite the lower power of promotion than an "Original GNR World Tour".
Just thinking.

7:10 ish mark. I guess I didn't realize Axl actually congratulated Duff and the guys on HOF. Interesting...
Indeed! Nice find!
But it was before that Axl's letter "to the HOF and whoelse it might concern".
-
"I'd like you to know that we're responsible for Axl and Slash being back together," Durst told the crowd. "We had a meeting and it went really well."So, it seems like it's confirmed [them both talking again].

Well assuming a reunion is in fact in the works, I'm sure even Axl knows he needs to work on his voice. Proper and long rest would be a significant start.
Proper and long rest, or proper and long treatment and proper and long rehearsal?

How would you solve the drummer question?
