  1. "GUNS does seem to be on a hiatus now," he said. "We've been working a lot the last couple of years, so it seems like the next logical step for GUNS would probably be to go back into the studio and do some recording before we hit the road again."

Stinson was replaced for GUNS N' ROSES' South American tour and the Revolver appearance by the band's former bassist Duff McKagan, who was part of GN'R from 1985 until 1993.

"I had those REPLACEMENTS shows come up the same time the [south American] tour came up, and it got to be a scheduling issue right out of the gate," Stinson told Billboard.com in April. "I didn't want to fuck anyone up in GUNS by saying, 'Hey, I can't do this tour' or anything like that. Luckily someone was able to reach out to Duff and he was amenable to the idea and was into doing it. It's Duff being the kind of good sport he is, trying to help Axl [Rose, GUNS N' ROSES lead singer] out. So I'm like, 'Thanks dude, for covering my ass on this one.'"

    "now"?

  2. What’s the status with Velvet Revolver? Can you see Scott Weiland coming back?
I can see Scott coming back, but I can’t see anybody accepting him. That’s sort of the case. It’s not a big deal and I don’t want to bad mouth Scott or anything. The whole thing is we’re looking for another guy to replace him it just hasn’t happened. It’s dormant, but there’s activity under the radar.

    Please, accept Scott back!!!!!!!!!

  3. Imagine if Axl would to kind of what Metallica is doing. Having fans choose GNR setlist.

It would be fun to challenge Axl and to see witch cities would choose witch songs by vote.

Now i understand Axl could not do all past GNR material, but what if he selected about 30 available songs that he would be willing to do from all the GNR catalog and let fans vote.

Would be crazy to have songs that we haven't heard in a long time a every show would be fun and unique.

Impossible. Not even the musicians in the band can choose songs to be played, let alone the fans...

  4. Hmmmm, really? Because according to this recent headlining setlist, I'm only counting like 5 songs from GNR.

haah yeah, and this is a new-album-kick-off gig....

3 months from now and you can count 8 or 9...

  5. Axl Rose - Fã Clube has just posted this:

"Segundo nossas fontes - O Guns N' Roses pode confirmar mais datas na América do Sul para o fim do ano além do México. Poderemos ter mais shows no Brasil? Quem sabe... Mais informações em breve!"

Translated: According to our sources - Guns N 'Roses can confirm more dates in South America by the end of the year, including Mexico. We may have more shows in Brazil? Who knows ... More info soon!

Imo, the source is not reliable (my point of view) but who knows...

    SHIT.

I hope it's not true. Would be kinda ridiculous.

  6. I want to introduce this song to a friend of mine who has no clue about the "Chinese Democracy" album. I think Catcher is one of the best songs out of it and since it has no official video <_< I can't do my magic.

So I need your help, since you are all so much into YouTube stuff, to find a good video with the best performance of this song (the best Axl you had ever seen). And by best, I also mean footage that is good quality both visually and of course, audio. If its pro-shot or from some televised show, better.

Don't point me out to full shows. I need only one song.

Ok, now YOU do the magic.

And thank you very much in advance

There's no worst way to present Chinese Democracy to somebody than through Cathcer in the Rye. Why not to try Better, This I love, Chinese, Sorry?

  7. if the rumors are true about Ron leaving, I want to be the first person to welcome Bucket back into the band

I will miss Ron, but Bucket would be a welcome edition,

But if Bucket doesn't come back to (replace a guy that originally replaced him) who would you like to see take over the virtuoso spot?

    discuss

After many years, I learned to love Ron, and now it seems he is leaving....

Only Bucket back (or Robin) would be good news.

  8. seriously though, why would Axl waste time, effort and money to sit down/write/record with the current band, where he apparently has hours upon hours of material that he has accumulated over the Bucket years that he himself has already assisted in the writing and recording process from back then. Why go through the whole entire bullshit again especially when he is 12 years older, when his past effort hasn't even come to fruition in the public market yet?

In Axl's eyes, it's an absolute redundant notion to go and do something new for the sake of the current band, when the 'old' material that would be new to all of us, hasn't been released yet.

But he did exactly that in Chinese Democracy, with Bumble re-recording many Bucket's parts.

  9. One of my favorites

So similar to the current Mickey Mouse voice that's even scary… :nervous:

The difference is, he had a TON of power and energy back then. He was constantly running around like a mad man but almost never ran out of breath.

His voice is way worst than now!, though the line-up was much better!!

  10. This is my favorite concert of all time! I can't tell ya how many times I've watched this show

What is it about that show? They kind of rush thru the songs and didn't have Fortus in the band yet. I feel it's not the ideal performance from that era. 2002 tour shows were much more solid than this one, they had a bit more chemistry with each other and with the material by that time. Also they removed the dead-on-arrival songs like Oh My God and Silkworms.

    Silkworms dead-on-arrival?

Hard fans (not sure about you) are still begging fot the studio version of this amazing song! 13 years later!

Again, be cautious of my Google translate but it seems somewhat reliable:

"What Duff does is his business and does not concern me. The thing is, I don't care. The relationship between him and Axl is different than my relationship with Axl - I would never get a call like that to my address. No hard feelings, I'm not judging Duff, he's a nice guy. It's just that he has a more amicable relationship with Axl than me."

Seems Jealous and a bit pissed off.

  12. I think DJ is making Robin Finck look better in many people's eyes these days...

I've seen many people express respect for Buckethead, mainly for his artistic integrity and willingness to walk away from a big paycheck, compared to previous years when many just focused on their dislike for his persona and style.

Even Paul Huge isn't getting any shit anymore!

I've just watched Robin for the 2nd time with NIN here in Brazil, and the guy just rocks and kicks DJ's ass!!!

Why would I stop to think about some hired musicians that are now gone? They are so insignificant to the history of the band as a whole that I don't even bother myself thinking about them. Paul Huge... You gotta be kidin', right? Who is he? Some baker from your neighborhood?

He is the co-author of Back off bitch and IRS, for example...

  13. I've seen people dislike Sweet Child (though I never understood why) and even November rain, but I've never seen someone dislike Welcome to the Jungle. Am I the only one who thinks this is the only mediocre song on Appetite For Destruction?

It has an amazing delayed intro, but that's where the enjoyment ends for me. Mediocre verse and chorus riffs, boring solos and most noteably, lyrics feel unstructured and all over the place.

    Anyone agree?

    Yes you're the only one.
