  1. Put this in your second form right below the opening form tag. Obviously make sure to put the value from the first form into $text first.

    <input type="hidden" name="text1" value="<?=$text ?>" />

  2. I just thought of this now:

They could make it "Yesterday's Got Nothin' for Me" or "This Ain't No Yesterdays". That way it is a more subtle fuck you to all of the people hung up on the past Guns N' Roses, but cleverly just using the song Yesterdays. They could do what many people are asking for and have a the band release a new version of Yesterdays and maybe 3 or 4 other past songs and the rest would be new material. It will make old fans happy to hear new songs revisited and current GNR fans happy with new material.

    Anyone enjoy this?

Its amazing how true that song holds so many years later.

  3. if in the year 2010 people still have a problem with Guns N" Roses the way it is, they should seek professional help.

if you can't get over the fact that some fucking guy in a fucking top hat left 15 years ago, i dont know what to tell you.

Well you say that but it wasn;t just some guy but a lynch pin of the band. The band has done very little since the guy in the top hat left.

Given that the band were more productive and imo creating better music when they were together I don't htink its "crazy" to want a reunion?

Maybe Axl really does have some big guns that he's holding back but on the strength of what we have heard so far I don't think the new band will ever match the old one musically.

A Love Axl and I Love Slash (as well as Izzy, Duff and Steven). I hate to see them each stuggle of their own.

it was never implied that it's unacceptable to want a reunion, but there are people (not necessartily yourself) who feel the need to try and make those who like the direction the band has moved in feel like inferior fans and constantly talk down to them.

There is a section on the forum for talking about the pre-1994 band and another. for people, like yourself who want a reunion. Talk of wanting Slash, or whoever back in the band doesn't belong here, I'm not saying this section should be some sort of sunshine and rainbows golden haven for folk who believe Axl is the way, the truth and the light, but it should be for folk who want to support the band to be able to do so without anyone attempting to make them feel inferior for it.

I guess the truth of the matter for those who do this is, a reunion will never happen and baiting those who do not want one as some sort of bitter game will change fuck all, so for those who do it, ultimately I guess the joke's on you.

OK cool I'm not knockin anyone for liking the new band or even the new band it really is 100% subjective at the end of the day.

Maybe I guess I need to stop taking life and GnR less seriously.

I do hang out int he forums you mention, but to me I don't see why we can't just all argue our points on whichever baord so long as everyone keeps their cool and makes reasoned and hopefully reasonable arguments then I think the baord can survive differing view points. ineed in that not the purpose of a foum in the first place?

because some of us are tired of old gnr vs new gnr. some of us are tired of the constant reunioners whinings. and don't get me wrong, i'm all for opposing viewpoints on all kinds of things.

and yes i do understand how big GnR got in their heyday, which was 15-20 years ago. To still cling to that era today, in my opinion, is a foolish thing to do. Especially when all parties involved have explicitedly said its not going to happen.

    I agree completely with this.

not saying they have to like it or whatever. but to come here kicking and pouting everyday does absolutely nothing.

  5. I stand erected...you're right. Either way, it's bullshit he's in.

Whether its bullshit or not, obviously the people who decide this don't think so. And its not far fetched to think someone like Tommy Stinson or Robin Finck are an even more deserving case than the Metallica situation. If we are going by this standard, everyone whose played in GnR should get recognized.

  6. I'd say its a given that GN'R will be inducted someday given how big they are and their influence on music.

I think that if GN'R is inducted Axl will want the then current lineup (if its changed at all, which is always possible...) to be there in addition to any past members. Otherwise it will seem as if GN'R post Slash's exit was erased from history. After all Guns N' Roses is still going strong.

absolutely. if robert truillo was inducted with Metallica, guys like Tommy, Dizzy, Richard, etc should be inducted with GnR.

  7. Guys, please stay on topic!

You guys bitching Beta have never met her for sure. She's the nicest person I met by far.

So if you have not met her or talk to her, please just stop your stupid comments or go cupcake somewhere else

Just for the record, I haven't trolled about Beta at all. I'm not sure if this is directed at me or not, but I think that should be known. In fact, in one of my posts, I said I'm sure she is a lovely person. I'm sure Mother Theresa is a lovely person too, that doesn't mean I'm suddenly interested in her managing a rock band.

    She's not the manager.

Whatever it is she does. Assists? I don't know. She does seem to be a bit of an unofficial manager though, doesn't she? For example, they toured without management in Asia and Canada didn't they? They toured with Beta. Sounds like a stand-in manager.

pretty sure she's Axl's assistant. Fills whatever role is needed and from what I can tell is someone very important to Ax.

  8. not sure how this related to Guns N Roses news and discussion? This guy isn't in the band, never has been in the band, and is only loosely associated with a guy who quit 15 years ago. The cupcakes persist on keeping these topics going in the main section to disrupt this site, and its bullshit.

  9. This is such a stupid argument. I'm just tired of idiots who think its up to them.

I'm tired of people that accuse everyone they don't agree with of being an idiot.

    Learn some tolerance.

im' very tolerant. in the real world, i dont expect people to be GnR fans, but when I come to a GnR Fan Forum and see some of the bullshit posted here its a little stupid, and yes idiotic, and very old.

  10. you've already admitted that you are deluded. when you think its up to you to decide what is or isn't guns n roses, you've officially hit the point of living in a make believe world of deluded nonsense. The person who owns the name gets to decide, no one else.

Isn't it really up to each of us to decide what Guns N' Roses is? I think Bumblefoot said it best:

Some disgruntled Guns N' Roses fans make the comment that the group's current lineup isn't Guns N' Roses, but is actually Axl Rose's solo project. What is your response to that?

They're right in their own mind if it isn't Guns N' Roses as they define Guns N' Roses.

What was the rest of that quote he said.

Guns N Roses is Guns N Roses, its not really up to anyone else. This is such a stupid argument. I'm just tired of idiots who think its up to them.

  11. I don't consider it Guns N Roses and never will (big shock, I know)

then you live in your own fantasy world.

its a good thing you dont get to make the decision as to what is or isn't guns n roses. must suck for you.

It doesn't. I get to enjoy Axl's new band and music without having to live in a make believe world of deluded nonsense. It's pretty sweet.

you've already admitted that you are deluded. when you think its up to you to decide what is or isn't guns n roses, you've officially hit the point of living in a make believe world of deluded nonsense. The person who owns the name gets to decide, no one else.

  12. I think I'd call it Guns N' Roses. The time is right for a s/t

What would you call it, if it was up to you.

Axl Rose Project. Or Axl Rose (solo). That's what is left. Period.

    nope

    it's guns n roses

You seem to really like Axl Rose and appreciate his talent, so I'm just guessing you're a fan? Correct? Well, he'd get alot more respect and adoration/appreciation from the world if he called this whole thing a new name. Not only that but people would judge the music on it's own and not against the old band which was one of the main reasons radio denied it's existence.

It's ironic when you think about it that way. The name "Guns N Roses" is VERY important to Axl, yet it's his biggest road block. The thing he loves the most is the thing that holds him down the most as an artist. Seems to me he'd realize that and move on.

anyone hung up on something so stupid is obviously a complete retard and doesn't deserve to love the band.

what happened to it being about the music?

Axl should stick his middle finger right into the faces of anyone hung up on such a retarded thing, and make the album self-titled.

  13. I think I'd call it Guns N' Roses. The time is right for a s/t

What would you call it, if it was up to you.

Axl Rose Project. Or Axl Rose (solo). That's what is left. Period.

    nope

    it's guns n roses

    Uha,,,,,,,,,,,LOL.

you should consider finding a board about a band you do like.

  14. BTW if "fans" haven't accepted new members by now, more than a decade later, then its pretty hard to consider them still fans.

The fans don't give a shit. The only people who do are keyboard warriors like us.

The 10,000 fans at the show I attended certainly weren't complaining when Ron tore up the stage with his Pink Panther solo.

because most people who go to a rock show just want to have a good time and enjoy some music. Its the same familiar songs, some of the guys are different than it was 20 years ago, some of the guys are different than it was 10 years ago. The average fan of a band attending a show probably can't tell you the name of the drummer, nor would it make a difference.

This band has been blowing people away for 25 years now, people have come and gone, but the music and the band still stays strong. and hopefully for many more years to come.
