  1. Weird how threads talking about how good CD is, are never thrown in Dust n Bones - Yet threads saying it's not good are.

Maybe because this is a Guns n Roses FAN Forum. If people hate Tha Carter III with a passion you dont see them posting on the Lil' Wayne forum.

pretty easy concept to understand. the poster you quoted said last week 'Cd just isn't good' and 'the new band sucks'

not really much of a fan these days, just a sad cupcake

  2. It's weird that some people think CD is better, than Old Gun's work. To me that's like saying "Hip is Dead" is better than "Illmatic", or "All You Can Leave Behind" is better than "Achtung Baby" - it's retarded.

its just an opinion dude. and while i'm not a fan of the two other bands you are referencing, its all opinion. we all have different tastes. none of it is retarded. whats retarded is bashing opinions that don't reflect your own.

  3. Don't know why you keep saying this. Velvet Revolver had TWO hit singles and won a Grammy. Slash has been EXTREMELY popular and successful since he left GNR. So I don't see how Slash fans could ever be jealous of whatever Axl's doing.

As I said before, the reason some Slash fans act the way the do is because there's a bunch of little Jarmo's walking around, trying to rewrite history and/or play make believe.

They can't get over that their favorite band continued without their favorite guitar hero. I'm not talking about what others have done outside of GnR. I'm talking about the bitterness you and a few others on this site hold, and the contempt for anyone else in the band not named Axl.

No one is re-writting history. Simply living in the present. Look thru my posts you will not find a single one bashing any of the alumni. Same can't be said of you and your friends who constantly put down members of GnR. And it all comes back to the fact that the band continued on and you guys can't get over it.

  4. awesome pwning skills jackie and bacardi!

poor poor slash fans. they're so jealous that GnR still has fans when he's no longer in the band.

Oh? I'm a big Slash fan and made this thread

well i'm talking about the ones who can't stand the present.

  5. I'll decide when I hear Down By The Ocean.

    here you go

Everyone assumes 'down by the ocean' is and Izzy song that new gn'r are working on. That's just speculation, all Axl did was confirm the song title and the song as one of Izzy's, he didn't say they were doing it - this is surely the song.

sounds too much like Sweet Home Alabama.

On topic, I'm sure Izzy could bring some nice licks and stuff. I'd welcome his contributions, but would prefer mostly contributions from the current band members.

  6. We should also celebrate GNR's funeral, which is probably 1996 when Slash quit.

Old Guns N' Roses died on November 7, 1991. The day Izzy left.

Rock 'n' roll GN'R died when Steven was fired, little less rock 'n' roll GN'R died when Izzy left, and classic GN'R died years before Slash/Duff left... in 1996/97 they were already dead <_<

they seem alive and well from this standpoint.

  7. Yes it does. The fact that I own CD and listen to it all the time, yet don't consider it Guns N Roses, puts me right in the middle.

LOL, that makes you totally biased dude! Come on, now thats just a stupid thing to say. You dont' decide what is or isn't Guns N Roses, you dont' own the name. You whine about this day after day, and the fact that Axl still calls the band GnR has got you totally bitter and psycho that you come cupcake this board daily.

Yeah, that's it. You totally got me. I'm really just here because I'm angry and jealous of your deluded idolization and wish I could be in the Jarmo cult fan club like you and own my very own pair of Axl undies to bed at night.

I idolize no one. But yes, angry and jealous describes you and your ilk to a T. and you know this.

  8. Umm ... So, by being a fan of the real gunners, that makes us "bitter and jealous"? Bitter and jealous of what exactly? And out of curiosity, you do realize that most "nu-gnr" members who recorded 'Chinese' bailed on Axl's ass right? So, by your logic, if you like 'Chinese' (and the members who took part in its creation) you are "bitter and jealous" because they are no longer the same employees who Axl pays to tour with him in 2010.

    I'm guessing a GED tops.

real gunners are people who are actually in the band. you are fans only of guys who left 15 years ago. you are so bitter about it that you still come to GnR forums to cupcake and you are jealous of those of us who like the band now. if you weren't, you wouldnt' bother posting here.

I like just about everyone who was associated with GnR past or present. The guys who wrote and recorded Chinese are cool with me, the guys who are in the band now are cool with me. The guys who recorded AFD are cool with me too though i loathe some of their hardcore fans.

Bachelor's Degree. But nice try! moron.

  9. awesome pwning skills jackie and bacardi!

poor poor slash fans. they're so jealous that GnR still has fans when he's no longer in the band.

I am a Slash,Axl,Izzy and Duff fan. I don't take sides with either of them as I have enjoyed their individual projects equally. This makes me FAR more qualified to comment on anything related to Guns N Roses then you and your nut hugging, self deluded Axl worshipers who idolize him like some creepy Mansion family member.

And believe me, the cupcakes and Slash fans aren't jealous in the least. It's more along the lines of sickened. It's like watching a bunch of Christians trying to take evolution out of public schools. You're a bunch of fucking deluded and deranged weirdos and it creeps them out.

    It's all very Jarmoish.....

i'm no Axl worshiper. I can see his faults and weaknesses. I am a GnR fan. You know, there are seven other members in the band. The fact that you are a fan of people who used to be in the band, doesn't make you any more or less qualified to comment on anything. it just makes you bitter and jealous.

but at least you admit you are a cupcake and that fans of the band sicken you. hopefully a mod takes note and removes your ass from this site all together.

  10. clearly, you know what i meant. by reunion, i obviously mean a reunion of the 2002 line-up. you know, the one that released all those poweful classics that axl's been living off of ever since. this might be a "guns n' roses," but every real fan knows that it's not guns n' roses with out paul "mank rage" tobias. even axl said it at one of the rock n' rio shows... without paul, there would be no guns n' roses.

as awesome as the current line-up is, nothing will ever touch the tobias / finck years. everyone knows it. me, you, azoff and the american public. that's what i meant by "reunion," dummy.

When Axl said "without Paul there would be no Guns N Roses", he was talking about the years out of the spotlight. If Paul had not been there, Axl felt he would not have been able to continue Guns N' Roses. Once the band was getting ready to tour, Paul decided not to, but his importance in keeping the band together during the silent years is something that is often overlooked, and that is why Axl acknowledged it. Paul never had the intention to stick with the band for a world tour.

I always got the impression there was simply a lack of energy when it came to making a new album back in 1995/1996

    1996

'band was so stoned at that point that nothing got finished' - Duff McKagan

(Axl Rose for making the band seem) 'like a dictatorship' - Slash (at the time of quiting Guns N'Roses)

Matt Sorum and McKagan quit soon afterwards.

    1998

Finck, Stinson and Freese along with long-time Guns N' Roses associate Paul Tobias, Chris Pitman join Axl

Geffen pays Axl $1 million to finish the album, with a further $1 million if he handed it in to them by March 1999

    Drummer Freese quits Guns N'Roses

    2000

Buckethead joins Axl, as does new drummer Brain

    2001

The new Guns N'Roses plays their 1st gig in Vegas

They didn't have much new material to play. What they played sounded unfinished. The Geffen deal failed.

    Buckethead Quits Guns N'Roses

    2006

    Bumblefoot joins Axl

Manager Merck Mercuriadis parts company with Guns N'Roses

Axl implyies that the reason the album was not released in 2006 was Mercuriadis's fault.

10 years down the line, and Merck takes the blame. Axl likes to blame ;)

my point was, during those years, for whatever reason for the silence and delays.. Paul was insturmental in keeping Axl and GnR alive.

  11. Oh wow. Dizzy and his keyboard happened to be in the same room as Ashba and his acoustic. I'll be really curious to hear how this sounds when it leaks in 2037. Five seconds later, I'm sure I'll be disappointed.

What a surprise, BBA with a post that shows he knows jack shit.

Bacardi, when you have a few free minutes, I'd like to exchange some conversation with you about our GNR experiences. For starters, how long did you have to wait in line at your local record store when they opened at midnight on the eve of the Illusions release?

    Age: 18 years old

Birthday: January 19, 1992 (<------ hey guys, check his profile)

sorry old timer, your favorite members left about 15 years ago. you really outta seek professional help if you have problems coping with that in the year 2010.

  12. the band couldn't write anything without Izzy's genius.

Funny....I don't remember hearing any original music after the Illusions. How did you manage that?

Which is exactly my point. Without Izzy they were lost. They couldn't put an album together without him.

Haha...again..I suppose your mother flew you down to LA during those 1995 sessions and you were there, Power Ranger doll in hand, eavesdropping on the circumstances of the breakup.

    Ok then.

and i guess you were there too rite? since you are so old and all..

but really, who cares? why do cupcakes like you need to hijack every thread with your same shit? we know you are butthurt that your favorite members left a band 15 years ago but theres other bands that make great music if GnR isn't your thing anymore. Its clear you are only here to try to provoke a reaction from people who you are jealous of, because they still love Guns N' Roses the way it is today. You don't, and I'm sorry that sucks for you. but fuck! get over it already. its time to move on. go.

  13. We should also celebrate GNR's funeral, which is probably 1996 when Slash quit.

well thats just factually wrong because GNR released an album in 2008 and is out on tour. Of course the mindless idiot cupcakes keep overlooking that.

it will be a happy day when we are celebrating your funeral from this website.

He's done such a great job with the 'name' too! Since '95 we've received great tours, great albums and a very approachable lead singer...oh wait, the lawyers got in the way of all that right?? Axl Rose might be GNR, but he's absolutely NOTHING without Slash.

if thats the way you feel, go down to the former members area where you can talk about your precious guitar hero.

most of us feel the band has done perfectly fine without him.

of course, you cupcakes can't keep this thread on the original topic. you just want to bash the band. fuck you guys.

  14. clearly, you know what i meant. by reunion, i obviously mean a reunion of the 2002 line-up. you know, the one that released all those poweful classics that axl's been living off of ever since. this might be a "guns n' roses," but every real fan knows that it's not guns n' roses with out paul "mank rage" tobias. even axl said it at one of the rock n' rio shows... without paul, there would be no guns n' roses.

  15. I don't get why Slash is sticking up for Azoff

Because Slash is probably still holding out for a slice of that 100m Azoff put on the table for a reunion.

because slash, along with everyone in the world except for about 100 people on internet forums, wants guns n' roses to reunite.

you can't reunite a band thats all ready together.

  16. Happy 25th birthday, GN'R!

    Here's to another 25! rock1

You aren't really 25 years old if you die about 10 years in...Is everyone really under the impression that "GNR" have been together for 25 years?

hey guy, you are on a GnR forum and GnR is on tour. what the fuck do you think? don't be an idiot.

    happy bday GnR!

  17. Is Fortus necessary?

    Is Ashba necessary?

I'd take them out before Pitman.

Are you saying the band would be better off with only one guitarist?

You do know that every GnR album from AFD to CD has 3 or more guitar parts, right?
