I have to be perfectly honest with myself, I really prefer this band here to the current iteration of GNR. Axl can't sing anymore and Slash plays like he doesn't care. 3 Years ago when that was recorded, I was begging for a Guns N' Roses reunion. I never thought I would be begging to go back lol. Hope to see Slash go back with Myles because that's probably the best he is going to do at the point in his career, money aside obviously. Slash has built a pretty great catalogue of songs over the years, all he needs is a singer that can do those songs justice. Myles has proven he can do it. I love Axl as much as anyone, but he doesn't have it anymore. I hate that, but its the sad, sad truth. Bring on the SMKC reunion!

Hope to see them again in Houston or Tulsa, the ticket prices there much pricier than what I got in Little Rock. I was spoiled.

I hope they work on a new record after this tour finishes. Otherwise, I'd rather they just part ways. Don't want to see Slash stuck with a nostalgia tour band playing 30 year old songs. Much prefer to see him with SMKC making new music.

Is it possible to buy these lithos anywhere official or only at the show?

One of my favorite moments last night Axl says something to the effect of Glad to be here playing Axl Rose Memorial Stadium....ohh thats not the name of it oh well its good to be here anyway. Then he walks a bit and realizes he just screwed up so he goes Im sorry i didnt mean that disrespectfully not my intentions at all so i hope no one was offended. This of course being due to the fact it is War Memorial Stadium
Yeah I cringed when he said that, considering the people in attendance, not a smart thing to say lol. Doubt anyone was bothered by it though, he clearly didn't mean anything by it.

I can't believe no one has commented on Sturgil Simpson during these shows!
Probably because his set was finished before half the attendees even made it past the ticket booth lol

Wow, what an amazing show, ears still haven't stopped ringing. Apologies to the other guy this morning for saying the show would be half full, I walked into the stadium shortly after the opening act left and it was packed. By the time Guns went on stage, I couldn't see any open seats behind me or in the stands. I'd say it sold pretty well for a market of this size, completely the opposite of what I was thinking.
This was my first show seeing any of those guys and it was absolutely incredible. Shitty YouTube recording just doesn't do this band justice. Axl may have lost his rasp, but he had plenty of power behind his voice, loved him so much tonight. Slash was on point like always, so was Fortus and the rest of the band. I don't know how long the show was because getting in and out of the venue was pure carnage. But it felt a solid 3 hours, definitely got my money's worth. Highlights for me were YCBM, NR, Estranged, Slash's jam with godfather and scom, Nightrain, and PC. Only songs I wasn't blown away by was Wish You Were Here and Layla. Wish they would drop those two and throw in a few UYI songs.
Weather was unusually pleasant for this time of the year. I'd say upper 70s for most of the night. Very comfortable, just the smell of dead skunk in the air lol. All in all, one of the best nights I've ever had, so damn glad they managed to sneak this show in this summer. Definitely planning one see at least one other show when they come to the surrounding states.

Kinda strange, I wonder why it sold so poorly in that market? Ticket prices?
If you don't mind me asking, is this something you did through Ticketmaster, or at the venue?
Ticketmaster. First guy wouldn't allow me to do it. Hung up and called again, got a very nice lady who did it no questions asked.

Honestly, after seeing that venue picture, Im super happy it didnt sell well. I mean, sucks we'll not likely get another show in Little Rock, but I dont mind traveling. But this looks to be a pretty close up experience for most folks. So stoked for tonight. And I managed to get my tickets upgraded to row 4 at the last minute!

Well, they wouldn't allow me to upgrade tickets. Row 14 is still pretty close, right?

They said that sold 32000 tickets for Guns show...I think Verizon Arena capacity is 15000...That's the reason
For tonight's show? Absolutely no way, that's about capacity for this venue with a mid stage concert. Verizon Arena can push upwards of 20,000 for concerts. They sold about 15k or so if you look at ticket master's map.

So, apparently there are plenty of PIT tickets left, they reduced them to $225 a pop which is cheaper than what I paid for floor seats. Does anyone know if its still possible to "upgrade" on the day of the show? I skipped pit because the prices were like $500 when it first went on sale.

Any leaks of the Little Rock litho? I just know it's going to be super disappointing, but curious to see how bad it is.

lol, what a dump. I have to ask again, why the fuck did they book this venue over Verizon Arena. Anything to save a buck I guess.

UYI, his tone then was just unbelievably good. Personally, just about everything about that tour was better. The slower tempo and arrangements of several of the songs was way better, particularly KOHD.
One of my biggest beefs is the sped up tempo on Estranged and November Rain, absolutely kills these songs for me, along with his weak ass, tinny sounding tone.
Another gripe is the just after the intro acoustic part to Civil War, he use to play it dirty which lead into the main rift and sounded pretty ballsy. Now, he plays that bit acoustic on his double neck and its just weak sounding. Not to mention the Voodoo Chile bits were more natural, not so robotic as someone else put it. Just doesn't feel like his heart and soul is in this band's music anymore.
I miss this tone and melodic playing

I honestly hope it is. I'll get to see them Saturday, which will great. But their performances have been less than stellar. With no new music likely ever happening for this band, I'd hate to see Slash waste his last remaining good years on a dying/dead band. His solo stuff was on point and he was turning out a few good tunes here and there. Get this tour over with and either write new music or end it on a amicable note and return to the solo stuff.

Always will be my favorite version
NITL sounds meh with all the bloat. Slash's bad noodling doesn't help things. His technical ability might've improved over the years, but his improv ability can't hold a candle to old Slash.

Guess I should've waited for the discount. We spent $1,200 on floor seats, could've gotten PIT tickets for cheaper.
I really don't understand why they didn't book this at the Verizon Arena, far better venue, in doors, and won't be 2/3s empty.
-
$300. If I had the chance to go back in time and see them in the late 80s, Id pay thousands. They just don't sound that great these days if I'm being completely honest.

Miss this band so much, Ive honestly havent been feeling it with the GNR "reunion", just hasnt captured the magic of yesteryear. I honestly think Slash+Miles sounds better than current GNR. Not to mention a much larger catalog to pull from. GNR+alter bridge+slash albums = bliss

Really wish Slash would bring back the electric patience solo with the double neck, god damn that solo was beautiful. Before they reunited, I wanted nothing more than to hear that solo live.

This is the way Slash should play his solo's. Not reinvent them
I prefer a lot of his playing way back then. His tone was better as well.

I prefer arena shows for a variety of arenas. GNR chose the awful, half century old stadium in my town over our nice arena which made absolutely zero sense to me. There's way they're going to sell it out and it'll be a worse experience for everyone overall. The show (Little Rock) seems to be selling very poorly as well.

Picking one song from one show doesnt prove a thing. He is consistently bad on many songs. SCOM, YCBM, PC, NR, Estranged, Dont Cry, Civil War, Yesterdays, Coma, etc... Pretty much any UYI song. If he isn't screaming at the top of his lungs or using his lower voice, it sounds pure Mickey. The excuses are getting silly. He's just bored? Really? That's why he sounds like mickey mouse, 'cause hes bored?
