It's horrible.

bring on a birmingham date
Indeed ! And more UK dates!
Went to Birmingham, Manchester & Leeds last time around. Can't wait for round 2.
I want a new album as well, but people assume that because theyre touring, it won't happen.
Maybe they need the money, maybe they need the momentum. Whatever it is, I'm just glad they're doing something.
Some people forget the silence..

Where are the UK dates goddamnit!!
-
You're about a month too late with this news, but thanks anyway.

Two weaks..

Great initial post.

Live Performance on Blu-Ray video. Yes.
New album on Blu-Ray? Lolwut.

I don't see why you need band-member involvement in this. It just sets things up for a fall.
Why not instead have an annual meet for "New GN'R" fans to get together, discuss the music, play it, party, have a good time.
Fans could put on the 'events' and then if a band member does turn up, well great. If not, who cares.

This was great. Really enjoyed it.

agreed...this is better...
but that doesn't change the fact that the only people that know they are on tour right now are people that have been to the shows, or people on these online forums. Locally where I am, GNR is getting recognition for RRHOF on the radio etc...pretty much daily, but not once has it been mentioned that the band is on tour, and on fire during this performances. and yes, rock and roll isnt the juggernaught it once was as you said, but lets face it even nickelback "shudders" is even still bigger than this band, at this point, whether we the fans of Gnr like it or not.
Completely agree about Nickelback, but that surely has more to do with their pop-crossover that appeals to kiddies and retards. We wouldn't want GN'R striving for mainstream popularity just for the sake of it.
I still disagree about the fans attending the shows though, maybe its different here in the UK. At the UK shows, most attendees were fans of the old band, clearly people who'd never been near a computer. Most had not seen GN'R in 06'.

I don't know SkidRow as well as you guys. Does he fuck with our minds or is this legit?
6 years on the forum and over 5,000 posts... If it's not true then it would be a miscommunication, not an outright lie to jerk us around.
I thought so. Just getting a little giddy.

What I don't understand is that the 'jam' sections are often the same/very similar.
Isnt spontaneity the whole point of a jam?

My favourite band are touring and are relevant again.
New music can wait until next year.
which band is it you are talking about being relevant?
Certainly not GNR. GnR is far from relevant at this in point in time. Honestly, the only people that even know they are touring are people on message boards, and people that have been to any recent shows...other than that...nadda..
I have talked to people that are fans of this "bands" music, and have had no idea that they were playing a show anywhere near their locale.
Yes,they are far from relevant, maybe with the RORHOF,but unless this lineup put an OUTSTANDING record, they will stay in this status.CD was a good album, but far from illusions an appettite.
What they need is a kick ass new album (complete with promotion, music video's, and a tour) and they'll be a big band again.
Okay, we'll if your hoping for world domination, then that's not exactly what I meant. Rock Music is no longer the commercial juggernaught it once was, we all know that.
I could care less if GN'R appear on American Idol/X-Factor.
As for "the only people that even know they are touring are people on message boards, and people that have been to any recent shows", I can tell you from the shows I've been to, that is total crap.
- World Tour
- MTV Interview
- Frequest Single/Double-Page interview reports/live show reviews/RRHOF spread in Classic Rock Magazine (UK)
- Live streams
- Positive show reviews regularly in the press/on the web
I want new music as much as the next guy, but I also remember the silence. The nothingness.
This is better.

I'd rather have a half-broken live stream provider than none at all. The first show streamed fine, and I'm sure they'll learn from this.

After tonight's show, I hope Axl continues to do whatever he goddamn well pleases.
You may dislike the method, but there's no arguing with the results.
Like.
-
Has Axl said anything to the crowd at all? I only got home halfway through, but so far not a word.
Not much.
He said that he only heard a couple of days ago they were playing this show. He said that he thought they were playing a small bar before tomorrow's gig, not the same place twice. He wished everyone an early happy new year, or something to that effect.

Decent from Pink Floyd medley onwards.
-
DJ just held a bottle of Jager or something to BBF's mouth whilst he strummed. Lol
-
first verses = mickey
but as dj and ron passed each other they were laughing
to me it seems as thou they were laughing at "mickey" as if axl did it on purpose
idk
Total bullshit.
Madagascar very close to the CD version.
