  1. The next album is going to NEED promo to sell, CD sold because of 14 years of rumours and hype. Everyone knew about it and wanted to hear what the hell Axl had been doing. Now they have to go on the music alone, it's going to be a tough sell.

I don't know what their record deal situation is but they should sell direct off a website and/or distribute Cds through a smaller label like NIN did for their last couple of albums.

    Exactly

Even without the promotion the next album could be #1 in South America, but to reach the top10 in the USA, then the new album needs much more promotion than Chinese Democracy.

  2. And as far as Slash is concerned, who cares if he has an opinion? Who cares if he doesn't follow the case closely? You can know some details about something without following and knowing every little deatil. For example, I don't follow the Yankees but I know they're 4 games behind the Rays.

Slash was asked for his opinion and he gave it simple as that, just like everyone on here has their opinions and have created accounts to give them. The difference is his opinions are based on first hand experience and people ask for his take because people give a shit. Unlike us Mygnr members who just post piss and wind all day. But Slash's according to some here Slash is not allowed opinions about Guns N Roses activities.

    Exactly....

  3. He always has to get his 2 cents in... then throw in a disclaimer, so he doesn't look bad - " Anyways, I don't keep up with that, I don't follow it."

Or maybe it was because he was doing an interview and the reporter asked him the question.

I agree with Orsys on this one.

I'm not a Slash hater and I don't necessarily disagree with him, but this pisses me off. I don't see why he has to stick his nose into this.

Even if he was just asked a question he can jus say that he "doesn't know anything and no comment"...

I dunno - I feel like quotes can be taken out of context very easily when you're doing an interview... It was probably a very brief response from a longer chat, but suddenly it becomes a news headline. You know what I mean? I don't think anything he said was particularly unreasonable anyway.

Yeah, someone probably asked him about it...well, he could said "no comment", but his answer just shows that he knows something about the whole thing (although he said that he didn't follow it), but with his answer he basically didn't tell anything, so...big deal :)

  4. It's a thin line between love and hate...

I don't know for you guys, but I can't say that Axl hates Slash (or Slash hate Axl), because I don't know them...we've got just few interviews and now we're playing psychologists <_<
