  1. The Welcome To The Jungle video wasn't a live video shoot.

All the close ups and maybe the wideshots are products of multiple takes.

They might have played some songs in between camera setups to keep the extras awake, but...

I could've sworn they actually were playing WTTJ live, not just miming it. Source?

    From Shash' autobiography.

"That second day, yet again, was another long shoot on location, but at least we shot the band performing the song live. We made it an event: we did the song on a closed set, then we opened it up and filled the club with an audience and played it three times in a row. Tha was cool. And that was a wrap on our first video."

They did good, but made some huge mistakes..

Stormtrooper helmet?? Ok..ok.. We were used to a circus act with stupid masks and hats, but at least the former players could see through them...

  3. This was supposed to be the summit of NuGnr's career.

No offense, but according to who was this supposed to the be the summit of this band's "career"?

Anybody with a shred of common sense

Damn, what a ridiculous remark. Why is this any more important than RIR III? Why is this any more important the 2002 VMA's?

RIR III was the introduction of a new era of GN'R. It was a FAR more important gig.

    Ali

A literal worldwide audience, a once a year festival, (a once a decade festival), and Axl's supposed love for Brazil...he should have showed up.

Agreed. But, that doesn't make this gig more important that RIR III in my book.

    Ali

    your absolutely right.

it doesnt matter if its RIR, Download, or your grandma's outhouse. no gig is more important than another they are all of equal importance.

I think the two shows are very alike..

RIR 2001 was an opportunity to start something great... That didn't happen.. It went downhill from there untill late 2008 as far as I see it..

Now ten years later Axl had the exact same shot (maybe even bigger)... and he blew it even before the show was over..

  4. There was a window of oportunity for a new song to be played till the final of the year, that window was at the sidney show, I dont see it anywhere else, which most likely means the plans of a new album have sufered a delay.

Play a unreleased unheard brand new song to a full stadium with 50,000 where the vast majority was there to hear the classics? I don't think so.

    Rio 2001?

That's different. They had to play something new in 2001..

  5. Can't believe I'm not there. The first thing Bumblefoot said when he saw me was "are you coming to Barcelona aswell??" I wish.. After this, we have no idea when they will return to Europe. Damn... I'm gonna miss these guys so much.

    Spot the groupie ;)

Dude.. I'm addicted to see them. I honestly have no idea how to go on with my life without having a GN'R show planned in the near future. I'm thinking of going to Israel though. That makes everythign easier. :)

If You by mistake orders an extra ticket + plane ticket Aalborg->Israel, then just send me a message.. :D

  6. Fun with an outdoor show now that it's getting dark earlier! Then everyone can still see the lights etc..

Totally agree with you there.. Much more fun when it's DARK at a concert :)

Yeah! I remember in Helsinki when they played outside in the light. Couldn't see the lights at all, everything was better inside in the dark. I see why they doesn't like to play when it's still daylight.. :P

Exactly!! I don't know what everybody is complaining about ;)

And at least you got to see them in Helsinki!! :)

  7. This. Bring on Village Gorilla Head or some cool punk covers. Or maybe some of Bumblefoot's solo stuff.

    No.. please no..

I don't go to a GNR show to hear some unknown solo stuff... and I don't think anyone else would find it cool (besides maybe one or two people on this board).

I'm fine with them doing other people's stuff.. but as far as I know that is all well known songs.

    Just my thoughts.. :)
