  1. ...

I care  I could read reviews of this show for many months to come

I'm glad :) Me too... Especially loved your review! (the detailed one on gnr.respect) :D

    ...

Great review! It's the best I also have ever been to. Just perfect!

You should've stayed with us, we were singing, haha. If anyone find a video of Maddy, tell me. I can't remember it, but my friend told me they filmed me singing trough the "whole" song.

Yeah... Would have loved that.. :) But I think you would have left me (and my BAD singing) as soon as Welcome To The Jungle :D

  2. Here is my review.. I know it is late, and You might not even care :D I didn't have time to write it last week - had to leave for Slash & AC/DC in Paris :D

As I wrote, it was an amazing concert. The best I have ever been to.. I can't compare it to other Guns-shows though, because this was my first..

I was at the venue at 5, and I thought there would be a lot of people in front of us, but there were only like 15 people or something in front of us at the door we choose (after we bought beers and t-shirts).

Of course our door was the one they opened last :( so we ended up in 2nd row around the center of the stage. I was surprised how few people were there the first hours.. It wasn't untill near the end of Danko Jones that it got crowded near the stage. Speaking of Danko Jones - they were pretty cool too.. I love it when a band knows they are ONLY the supporting act. Danko Jones knew that.. It was funny to see Frank, Bumble and DJ "hijacking" the stage :) Me and my friends were talking and joking about that they were only 3 people in the band... A few minutes later one of my friends said: "Now they are 4.. no wait.. 5".. I then told him who it was :) I think this was the case with a lot of the people there - they didn't really know who the guys on stage were..

GUNS N' ROSES: Everything was just perfect.. and you could just see that Axl was enjoying it... (The bra that was thrown to him, him jumping on the piano at the end of Novermber Rain etc..) His voice was great too.. (I have no idea why the papers wrote bad reviews. I know 4/6 isn't bad, but some of the reviews criticized Axl a lot..)

It was just great to sing all the old songs together with everyone there.. People didn't really know the CD songs (I postet a video last week, and the only one you can hear is me :) )

I don't know what more to say... It is now more than a week ago, and I still can't believe how great the show was.. Definitely going to another one somewhere later this year.. :D

  3. With all the years and musicians and high-priced studios, to release such a bad album is shocking! Axl's ego has gotten so large he got rid of a band that could write decent songs and got together a group of robots with no soul. There are only a few good songs, Street of Dreams, Catcher in the Rye, the rest of the album is bad, and some of the songs are unlistenable. He can take as long as he wants with the follow-up, because I know it won't be that good. My album I recorded in one week is better then Chinese Democracy, it is not the time spent on a project, it is the amount of talent and soul a artist has! God Bless

With all the months since the release of Chinese Democracy, to post such a bad review/topic about it is shocking!!

My album I recorded in one week is better then Chinese Democracy,

Oh stop... stop, milk is coming out of my nose! :rofl-lol:

HAHAHA!! I don't know why, but that made me laught!! :D

  4. I was thinking about going to this (in Aalborg)... Only problem is, that it's from 15:00 to 17:00... and I really want to be at the venue early..

    Dilemma.. :/

Same with me.. Really want to go again, especially when they have that competition..

And I didn't understand a shit about that venue, I got this mail yesterday. First they open the first door at 5pm, and you can go inside to eat, drink etc. Then they'll open another door later. So that mean you'll have to fight being first at the door twice??? :/

As far as I understood - yes, you are right (Haven't been to a concert at the venue even though it is in my hometown), they open the big main door at 5 and inside there are a few smaller doors, which they will open at 18:30.

Fuck, I Hate Gigantuim. What a stupid venue, treating the guests like that.

You are damn right.. But at least there are some great places to go in Jomfru Ane Gade after the show :D

Hmm.. Okay. Now I'm even more stressed than earlier. Going to meet&greet is a must. And front is also a must. I'm sure I'll manage it in the end, in some way :P

But seriously... This is the stupiest rules I've ever heard. Maybe I should take a call to the people at Gigantium and tell them to do as everyone else does....

Didn't mean to stress you :)

To be honest, I don't know if people will show up early or not.. At least I don't think the danes will..

Denmark are playing against Holland in the world cup at 13:30, and there really haven't been much interest in the concert here.. It's not even sold out either (and there are only 8500 tickets) :(

  6. It could also be because most of us have been listening to at least live versions of some of the songs since 2001, and we heard (and most of us liked) the unfinished product. Therefore, CD wasn't as "special" when it was actually released.

    Exactly!

what about the Blues I mean, really look at this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3-gXl3pWAE

    and then this

you cant even compare.....2001 is definetly so much better..this isnt the song it used to be.

The final version of Street of Dreams is perfect :) I don't know how you can say his voice destroys the track...

And I don't think we can compare the final version to a live version he did 10 years ago either :>

  7. BBF's solo is way better than May's solo

rons solo is fucking awesome. how is the may solo? haven't heard it

Here's a comparison of the two.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtiU-JBzmAA&feature=embed

I love both solos. Ron's solo is amazing, but I like Brian's better. But again, I'm a very big Queen fan. Brian's solo sounds like a Queen solo, and over the last year I've realised that the final solo fits better in some way..

it somehow reminded me of bohemian rhapsody.

I don't think it reminds me of Bohemian, but it definitely sounds like Queen (which really isn't bad at all!!) :D

I agree with Scaramouche - I think the final solo fits the song (and album) better in some way..
