Oh silly Miser. The only GNR album that is as good as The Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby would be AFD. Many music critics, who get paid to know music, would agree. I know music is what you make of it, but it is really hard to say U2 is a bad band when they have so much commercialized success and reap the money of millions worldwide in touring money without even trying.

Don't forget those who will say "this topic belongs in former members" and then proceed to cry about it for a page in a half.

I'm listening to Dark Side and with the exception of the song Money which I don't really care for this album is phenomenal.

But beside the point, I think if Axl ever did release another album (I doubt he ever will), it would be great to hear a concept type album that just had nice transitions between everything. If Axl did one about his life, like his childhood, his journey into fame, his downfalls and to his withdrawals from society, he could write his magnum opus. The story I'm thinking of reminds me of The Wall in a way. It would be the perfect way to end his career because I feel like he set himself up with unfinished business.

Why would Slash waste his time? By that time Axl had the name so it was all a matter of time for his dismissal regardless.

Mick and Keith's relationship took very nearly the same trajectory as Axl and Slash's. By the mid '80s they were in essence broken up because there was a power struggle between Mick and Keith; And while they've been able to pull it together because they realize being the Stones together is more money than themselves alone, those underlying issues are still there--In Keith's book you can see he's still very bitter at Mick in some ways, yet for money they've held it together since 1988 (Even though it seems they might've broken up again)

Yeah this is definitely Axls motivation in his career.
