GN'R made a lot of good songs but when the talk gets pretentious....I kind of tune out. Is there anyone here that legitimately listens to Izzy's solo music all the time? I always here real praise for Izzy but I just never agreed with it.

I don't think it's the gayest thing you can write. I think it's just shy of being a great song.

In all fairness, you were banned once before. You just got to come back because they unbanned everyone. So maybe he just wants you re-banned. It's a subtle difference.

However, to the thread's question: I think comparing the relative happiness levels of Axl and Slash is rather puerile.

Not accurate. Also, I've pointed out fallacies in NGOG's thinking in other topics here, and his only recourse is to ask that I be banned.

Collectively they must have been in the band for over 40 years if you add up all that time they've spent individually. If they all left and were replaced, would it no longer be the GN'R they came to enjoy to some fans?

American has barely gotten a taste of what the rest of the world has received. GN'R fans are hungry for GN'R and Chinese Democracy. What are the biggest stadiums, arenas, GN'R could sell out now in the U.S.?

I just read somewhere that Taylor Swift sold out in Shanghai China in 1 minute or something. If GN'R's management is reading, maybe your thoughts will help them identify the hot spots for where they should reach their demographic.

Profoundly great artist. Definitely missed. Got a lot of backlash with overexposure after his death but he represents everything that is missing from the mainstream now. Even his cover songs were remarkable.

Axl has a devoted following and epic ballads that would compete with Jim Steinman's songwriting. If Meatloaf has any competition, I'd have to say it's Axl. Both I believe had some of the biggest selling first albums of all time. Despite the weight gain, Axl has maintained his style. If Meatloaf became a sex symbol despite weight then why not today's Axl and Axl is nowhere near as large? Everyone gets old, and I think the expectations put on Axl are kind of irrational.

If so why?

Let's say Axl calls it quits after Vegas or whatever, what would you replace your favorite band with?

Who would it be? Now I'm not talking about replacing anybody, just simply adding another guitarist to enhance the show and audience experience.

Look at all the styles he's brought about over the years and wow cool they all looked. The bandana, tattoo sleeves, Versace. Now there's Dj Asbha who has his own line of fabulous, high quality swag. I have to say, Axl's missing out. What specific aspects of his style do you think he could market?
