Axl probably is jealous of slash. Slash is widely accepted and liked. Weather he "sold out" is a matter of opinion. Mine is , you can make the arguement that alot of artist have sold out and selling something or getting sponsors, havng songs in movies, commercials, playing with different acts is what older muscians do. I'm not a fergilicious fan but he didn't sell out in my mind. He's just workin and possibly havn fun at the fucking superbowl. Did his friend ozzy sell out for having a show. Axl might want people to think slash sold out but only because he hates him because of jelousy of his popularity, success, normal way of conducting business. He is a hater, period. I totally dig everything axl does but I don't like his way of conducting himself. He seems very self centered and he seems to think he's better than everyone else... Especialy his old bandmates. It's actually really sad IMO . Without his personal problems he could be the biggest rock star in the world like he used to be.

Do you think so? Why doesn't Axl do more to promote himself/the band then? I mean, if Axl is jealous of Slash popularity even if it isn't conscious. It would drive him to match and surpass that. Axl does the opposite.

I don't think he is jealous but not necessarily disagree that Axl wants/wanted more respect due his work in old and new Guns. "last man standing not bragging not proud" sentence (quoting from memory) comes to mind.

Axl being a very religious person just don't let it go in some form.

true it needs to be more epic than just a video. I can watch a youtube vid of Body of Lies with ITW playing and then flick to Megan Fox sex tape and get a pretty decent mock up of a video. It's banal.

I think they need Charlie Sheen to fund a 20 million dollar video of TWAT in 3D that shows in IMaxs.

My five year plan for gnr album releases

2011- release double CD album.

2012- tour CD with new material and write songs with new band

2013- release GNR-THE CUTTING ROOM FLOOR.. All tacks not used for AFD, lies, UYI 1,2... SI , CD. Also with that offer an exclusive behind the scenes tour video from all line-ups( slash said in his book there is over two and a half years of uyi tour footage. No tellng what else is in Axls vault.) Finish recording record with new gnr and release it at Christmas followed by a new years eve show at the pyramids.

2014- release axl's picks ( a personal greatit hits from all line ups) downtime until.............

2015- REUNION tour...........

Also the new band need to write a song for Azoff, kind of an old school GNR saturday nite special. I would use Eye of the Tiger as a guide then get Dj to work his magic, Bumble do some Riad type solos, Axl's needs to bring his best rant of alltime for this song..

I dig it. I heard it first on MTV in 2002. Thought it the highlight of that performance. I think the mlk audio may be axl's way of trying to pound it home that he is not the guy that the public thought he was when he wrote one n a million. I think it's his attempt to tell people I am not pedudice ( which I truly believe he's not) . Axl always has some motive behind his work. A calculated message that he delivers in a subtle or not way. My first thought was this sounds like newschool zepplin w a hiphop beat. I the mlk speech but I would prefer to her another verse or solo.

I can't compare because I've yet to hear current line up material. I think it would be great. I love CD. I think guns will always be awesome bc axl is a great editor. Meaning: he can listen to alot of ideas that any lineup comes up with and pick the winners or the ones he can mold his melodies over. That and the front man thing is what makes axl,axl rose. That's why people literaly "fiend" for his music ( including myself). with all of his faults, they are made up by his talent and ear. I can't wait to hear what's next. I belive in his vision of gnr. I prefer AFD lineup but anything he touches is BEAST! Rock on AXL!

I am getting very tired of this. Release a record or hang it up. You are just pissing fans off. Do NOT rerelease CD1...... Just pathetic. Release the rest of the CD sesions as a boxset w the first one and all artwork. It's hard for me to keep faith in axl at this point. I want to but he just let's u down... Everytime.
