I have no idea if Axl & StevenTyler are friends at all, but what would the reaction be if Axl made a guest appearance? Either singing or commentary? I don't even know if I'd think it'd be cheesy or awesome. Just watching Idol (and Tyler) at the moment. Would it be huge or would the AI audience yawn? What would our reaction be (Axl fans)?

Axl and Tyler were friends at one point. Guns toured with them in the late 80's to promote AFD. I believe the tour went on for 9 months.

leaks do hurt album sales.

if I hear a leaked album and don't like it, I won't buy it. When I was growing up, you bought the album off a single, word of mouth, radio, magazine review, artist rep - and well if you didn't like it once you bought it.......*shrugs*, you were sol.

your silly. leaks don't hurt album sales, it's a lack of PR and frankly bad music that hurt album sales. You can go into HMV and listen to any album you want prior to buying it. If you choose not to purchase it, that's your right. Afterall it's your money and your power.

Leak away. The leaks did not ruin CD chances of success, it was a lack of PR work. If anything, I believe the leaks helped sales. Let's cut the crap folks, you can find any album on torrent sites month(s) prior to it's release, but that's not the reason artists like Kanye and Swift are selling albums like hot cakes.

Then Axl is a liar, because he's the one that made that statement. He made it on tour back in early 02' I believe. He was telling the crowd how fucked up Izzy was during some UYI concerts and that they had to turn down his amp because he couldn't play.

Nah, I think it's better business for the critics to trash Axl and the band.

I think this is on old Axl's strategy, since the band got so big, meanming to keep it big or turn it even bigger.

This has a lot to do with Axl's delays at every show: he kinda thinks the more we anxiously wait, the more astonishing the concert will be.

Same for Chinese Democracy release delay.

Maybe for die-hard fans this works, but the general public doesn't care or is not impressed with the antics.

I think Axl should rethink this strategy, as so far it hasn't worked.

I think 2011 will be a quiet year.

I like what I hear from the new band live. However, still don't think they have reached the consistency and cohesivness of the old lineup. It will take time, but if they stay together and enjoy working together live, I don't doubt they will attain that achievement.
