He didn't attend his mother's funeral, his grandmother's, etc, etc,,,, It's all about the relationships, the head space at the time, etc.. (Oddly enough I think the last time all the original band members were together was at a funeral for a crew member).
Not disagreeing with you, but how do you know he wasn't at either of those?

Just curious, thats all. i know i read about it in that book, which is very good and has a whole chapter about Axl and Shannon and Don't Cry, ETC.
Being that he was a guy from Lafayette, Axl should have gone.

I wonder if he has ever visited his grave, its just outside Lafayette. i've been there a couple of times, its a nice little monument to the man who died much too young.
Any thoughts/comments?
there's a mention of it in this book, but i can't remember the whole story, something about it wasn't convenient for him to travel then, ETC

I;m sure most of you know this already, but this song is written about/for Steven Adler.....Came out approx 1 year after he was booted from Guns.

i love the album, have since i got it the day it came out...along with Metallica's Live Shit Binge & Purge
I saw this on Wikipedia..
During studio sessions the band recorded a cover of "A Beer And A Cigarette" from Hanoi Rocks but the song never came out.
Has anyone heard this???

Discuss the year 2001 in regards to Guns N' Roses.
This was the year Guns finally hit the stage for the first time since 1993. With only 4 shows played that year we have audio of the very first show at the House of Blues Las Vegas and pro-shot video of the second show at Rock in Rio festival.
One of the more mysterious lineups, and musically one of the best.
