  1. Is the fact that Green Day inducting GN'R more focused on then GNR are being inducted? I was mistaken about the fanbase as a whole it appears, I thought we prefer positive things

    GNR ARE BEING INDUCTED

Let's try and remember that, I could give a rat's ass who is doing it, I am proud of the band for this recognition

    Exactly.

I'm starting to think people on this forum aren't happy unless they are mad, griping or fighting with somebody.

Coulda been the Rolling Stones and folks would still be complaining.....

  2. Kinda feel bad for all those fans that bought the $600 tickets......

Why? They are still going to get a great show, sit in the presence of legends, and have a wonderful time. If they bought those tickets for $600 with the sole purpose of seeing GNR perform, I feel no worse for them than I do the idiots who buy tickets for the new band and are shocked when Slash and Duff don't come out. This is Guns N' Fucking Roses, not Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. This is not a band you should expect to see reunite until the press release comes out saying that they will. It's been a toss-up from the get-go with less-than-even odds that it was even a possibility since the beginning. If you bought a $600 ticket to see something happen that was almost certainly not going to happen, it's your own damn fault. You're still getting a great show, and if some sour grapes are gonna stop them from enjoying the rest of the show, I will gladly take their tickets. Hell, if GNR do perform, they can come in for that part and I'll leave. The rest of the show is worth it.

Its probably gonna be a great show besides the fact, but is the reason the tickets are $600 for gnr? Do they always sell out quick and then sell for those ridiculous amounts? What's the status of the rest of the show? Will the Beastie Boys perform? Chili peppers?

  3. I suppose anything can still happen, anybody could change their mind the day before or at the event. With all the hype about this event I bet all of them are seeing a boost in their income, they know the people want it. Kinda feel bad for all those fans that bought the $600 tickets......

"Be bitter, stay angry, and blame everybody"- axl (sounded like he was joking when he said it, maybe not?)

  4. I got the same. I'm not against paying for it but there has been nothing that keeps me from going to the site (especially the Nightrain section). Even the tour pics are still down. How long does it take Kat to put a watermark and re-upload?

so you subscription expired or you never had one, but you still have access? do tell

  5. Nice post, GNFR2003. I could definitely see that scenario going down. It's just a little disconcerting that Del said they won't play when he could have just said nothing.

I don't think Del said that, or if he did that is one sentence out of a huge paragraph or answer, and its being taken out of context. Knowing someone who is friends with Del, I highly doubt he said anything about this. Del isn't going to be telling the press, or HOF that the band "ain't playing". This supposed quote out of thin air, unattributed and with no published article or interview, doesn't pass the smell test. It also contradicts what Axl himself told the LA Times. There is no way in hell anyone in GnR is going to say a word about playing or not playing until the show has started. They will keep it a mystery, as GNR has always done. They all know this will be the biggest event in Rock music, besides the one-off Zeppelin show, and Pink Floyd one-off charity reunion in the past 20 years---no one is going to say a damn word about this and ruin it. Give it 24 hours or so, and I bet we find out that supposed quote attributed to Del is complete bullshit.

    THIS

  6. Well what can be said that hasn't already been said? The band is not a democracy lol. I dig the new chinese songs and I give them a +1 for entertainment value for sure. 3 hour setlist is pretty sweet. I like the new members as well especially BBF. We can only speculate on what happened to the classic lineup and why they can't get along...

While it's not the original recipe, I'll take this over nothing. We saw them a few years ago and again last december, recent show was way better. If they could put differences aside and reform someday it would be EPIC and everyone knows it, even the haters. Would it work? Who knows? Axl is the only one who could pull it together and until he wants it, it is what it is.

  7. It's probably bad that I genuinely don't give a shit what happens at this ceremony, will definitely not watch it and probably not read about it either. This is the first time I've been inside a thread about it in months.

All this is bullshit. If you didnt care why post at all? Axl has already stated that if he did take the stage it would only be with Duff and Slash, so all the speculation is a waste. Furthermore, I do not believe Axl has any intention of playing with them, and has probably stated thru Beta channels that he will only show if everyone else agrees not to perform at all.

dang what a buzzkill that would be. anyhow i thought the thread was "what songs would you like them to play if they do end up playing together?" NOT "i like the new band, fuck the old band"

but i guess every thread get tangled into that discussion around here i guess

  8. not a fair question really because they will probably play the greatest hits.

so if i had my choice it would probably be rocket queen, estranged, and dead horse or mama kin

but it will probably be jungle, scom, and a cover kohd or live and let die?

don't really matter to me i just would like to see it happen.
