  1. Whats up guys, I'm gonna be attending the Guns concert in montreal as well, but I'm working that day from 2 to 7. Catch is though that I'm actually a bartender on Crescent street at the london pub (corner of cresent and maisonneuve) and was trying to start a pre concert party anyways. So I don't know if anyone is interested, but I'll be playing Gnr all day, its happy hour from 3 to 8 and there's also free hot dogs for the heavy drinkers like myself. So if anyones interested it would be great to meet some other Montreal fans.

  2. I actually started reading it yesterday for the second time. First time i read it in 4 days. 450 pages in 4 days is a lot for me, but i just had to know what would happen next. Damn great book, the bible of rock.

  3. Definatly Slave to the grind. Perfect mix of metal and rock, just an amazing album. Followed by the self titled, closely followed by Subhuman Race and in dead last Thickskin.

  4. They are one of the more mediocre NWBHM bands

Judas Priest and Iron Maiden are way way way way better.

I think they're more hair metal than NWBHM.

It all really depends on how you look at it. In 1980 they were definatly metal. In 1982 with High N' Dry they became hard rock and in 1983 with pyromania they became rock and basicly helped in creating hair metal. With Hysteria people say they turned hair metal, but really its only because hair metal bands copied Def Leppards style after that so they get lumped in with them. Really one of my favoruite bands.

  5. Yes it sucks, but its getting better. This year has been preety good considering what we've had in the passed few years. The band teh trews has a new cd produced by the old aerosmith prodeucer from the 70s and they have some good tunes. NIN came out with a new cd this year, of course we have contraband. there was the new queens of the stone age cd and weezers new cd isnt half bad, but overall music is preety bad these days considering the bands mentioned above dont really get much airtime.

  6. So many huge albums were released in 87 and became even more popular in 1988. So who was the biggest? I know that the top 2 are probably Def Leppard and Guns N' Roses, but there was also aerosmith and a whole bunch of others. I wasnt born till 88 so for those of you who are old enough to remember, which band was the biggest?

  7. Def Leppard-Pryomania (best def leppard cd in my opioun, They werent making cheesy music yet, even if i love hysteria, but they were also trying something new.)

Alice cooper-Hey Stoopid (Amazing album, much better than trash in my opioun)

jimi hendrix smash hits (i dont even need to give my opioun on this, its jimi hendrix)
