  1. There's already been a poll on this before. I'll say then what I said now... Morning Glory just sounds like a period of my life, summer when I was 5 years old and Wonderwall and Don't Look Back In Anger would come on in the car... Simple, happy days. For that reason I couldn't vote for anything else.

This. Except I'm 6 in my daydream. You're like my Scottish kindred spirit.

  2. Fade to Black - Metallica

Just for you Brother Morphine! :D

Can you do me some Trapped Under Ice? Sorry but when it comes to songs from favourite albums I always hear the next song come up even if I'm not listening to the actual album. Like who here hears You're Crazy as soon as SCOM finishes on the radio.

Rocket Queen, Your Decision great song, but my point was the title track of that album. What a fucking choon.

  3. The song rocks, love the solo, I have a feeling this album is going to be better than Slash & Friends.

My only complaint about how Slash's guitar parts have changed over the years is how he does a lot less noodling during intros and verses and more power chord based riffs throughout the song. The lead guitar presence was felt much more when he was in Guns and Snakepit, now it seems as if the only lead part within the entire song is the mandatory solo after the second chorus. Meh, its just so predictable. That said, the solo itself is badass and the riff is catchy, the formula is just too expected imo :shrugs:

I guess that's what a lot of people like about hard rock though, you know exactly what you're getting into when you press play

Something ive definitely noticed as well. There's a lack of actual riffs sometimes, just power chords really...he really didn't use his solo album to his advantage. Some songs theres only one guitar and itll be hard panned nothing much really going on. Compare it to Locomotive, Slash has weaving guitars with a lead running on top. Hes like a one man Slash and Izzy on that tune.

  4. I hope they are at the table so that Axl can finally meet Perla haha. All those twitter messages she wrote about him-she's weird! But seriously I wish they'd get over the drama for 2 hours! They're all a bunch of oversensitive weirdos in many ways!

Oh god... something tells me that'll result in a cat fight! XD

Seriously, both Axl and Perla are known to have a temperament so I don't think it will end well at all. :rofl-lol:

Meh. This is the woman who once said her husband's best work was in his old band and her favourite song is Estranged. I'm sure they'll get along fine.

^ I've never heard of this version until about a week ago. It's not complete. I don't think

it's GN'R. It was never circulated around the forums as being "Real". But I could be Wrong.

"Slash's" shredding on there is simply way too metal. Even when Slash is doing songs that are metal like The Garden (if you consider it metal), Coma, Nothing to Say - the riffs are metal but the solos are always still bluesy.

    DTJ

    This is from 1989

I really don't know what is the source of this, but this is a GEM.

    Slash at his best!

Didnt someone say that's not Slash or Adler on that track?

  5. Say what you wish about Skrillex but what I know for sure is that the guy knows how to mix and master his songs.

You may hate his music, but his production is fantastic. :shrugs:

And if tens of millions of people like it, he must be doing something right.

Not every song or album has to be an epic voyage that changes your life. Sometimes music should be light and fun and something u can just go dance to.

Steak and lobster every night would get boring. Nothing wrong with having a pizza or take out chinese food every now and again.

Exactly. Its like me. You gotta have dance music and shit to go out and listen to. I don't wanna listen to And Justice for All start to finish when I go out. I want something light hearted so I can rip shit up. How many of us, myself included, rip on glam? Yeah, but how many of us are out there singing our lungs out to Bad Medicine or Livin on a Prayer?

    Exactly.

I suppose its techno or dubsteb or whatever it is today.

When I was a kid it was the hair band era. And bottom line......if you have two parties at houses side by side, and one has poison and bon jovi and warrant playing, and one house had slayer and metallica and motorhead playing.....which house do u think 95% of the girls were at?

One house had all the girls, dancing, drinking, skinny dipping, etc.

One house had 10 dudes and 2 girls, sitting around the living room, passing a joint around, talking about how lame the other party must be.

Same thing today. A club or rave is there for people to dance and have fun. Not discuss the lyrical content of the last coldplay or Muse album.

This. Don't get me wrong like Metallica is like one of my fave bands so like if Sandman or Sad But True comes on I'm definitely getting into it. For Whom The Bell Tolls and Puppets as well, other than that how many other Metallica songs can you do when you go out?

Not too sure about Poison, but yeah all that Bon Jovi crap and a little Cherry Pie is definite audio crack when your out on a Saturday night.

  7. I don't know if CoolCaesarSalad is trolling, or missing some essential brain cells, but whatever the reason it isn't funny. Seriously, man. Stop. Just stop. I'd like to see the people who cry in every thread about having it moved to another section all get collected and moved to another board. It's childish, and annoying.

Would be cool to see a remastered Appetite release. Anybody ever pick up this version? I meant to back in the day but it was always very expensive and just never got around to it.

What was so special about this edition? Not being a twat, seriously asking because I'd liketo get AFD on something a bit better than the bog standard store bought CD.

  8. I mean whole music is regressing.

In Rock back in 80s and 90s we had GN'R, Alice in Chains, Rolling Stones to name a few now ? Nickelbeck , Godsmack , 30second to Mars

In Pop there were great artists Rod Stewart, Joe Cocker, Tina Turner, even Madonna now ? Lena Del Ray, Britney and Maroon 5

In Electro we had Daft Punkt and now everybody is listening to dubstep shit.

I love you how you name good old acts and bad modern acts. Fucking pathetic.

    Every era had bad music:

80s: Poison, Tiffany, New Kids On The Block, Kiss, Ratt, Milli Vanilli, etc.

90s: Candlebox, Bush, Live, MC Hammer, Vanilla Ice, Color Me Badd, Backstreet Boys, etc..

Aren't you suposed to be Mr. hair metal and GUN N' ROSES IS SLEAZE ROCK AND GLAM!!!? Now you hate on Poison and Ratt?
