  1. Were we talking about Axl's behavior or were we talking about us being up late just because Axl is still living in the rockstar imaginary world? You and a couple others said that I basically had to shut up, put up with Axl's bullshit and enjoy that because it's rockstar. Well no, I will never do that. I can enjoy Axl's band shows, I can enjoy staying up late for the right reasons and I even enjoy Disney/Pixar movies (I'm saying that because you say I have lost the child in me ) but don't ask me to do that just because a 80s rock singer decides to sleep in the hours that he's supposed to be performing. There's no justification whatsoever in that behavior and it's not rockstar, that's more like a primadonna, diva behavior and I'm glad Axl and his team tried and are still trying to change that. Now that Axl is not 3 hours late, does that mean he lost his rockstar motivation?

    Good points.

Going on at 11 is an absolutely conscious decision. He is doing it on purpose for his own reasons, despite knowing the pitfalls.

And one of the sillier arguments going is the puffing out the chest some fans do and tell others to "grow a pair". Is that the point here?

Another interesting thing about some of the posters on here.........they LOVE when Axl goes off on rants bashing and tearing people apart (in concerts or on forums/twitter/etc) but if a forum member says something negative - then they are a baby who doesn't enjoy life anymore? Funny stuff.

I suppose your comment was aimed at me? I do like Axl's rants when I agree with them. Usually his rants aren't filled with negativity. He's not usually calling stuff stupid and boring and lame, just because he doesn't like it. He has a different approach. That's why he doesn't seem that much like a person who has problems enjoying life. Of course he isn't the best example of a positive person either, but that's besides the point.

Anyway, it was Nosaj Thing who was calling people immature small kids. I've never called anyone a baby, and if I have I've meant it as a compliment.

It's just weird to me that a person who likes Guns N' Roses finds the whole rockstar-thing lame. How can a person be a fan of AFD and dislike the rockstar attitude? That album is like an epitome of the rockstar cliche. I'm sure that the album sounds lame and childish to all the so called grown ups. Luckily not everyone loses the touch to their inner child.

Oh and I do disagree with Axl on certain stuff, but Axl's not here so I can't speak my mind to him.

I actually do agree with this. I think the majority of us around for their prime do enjoy the whole rock star thing.

But, and I know keep coming back to this, but why is he the only one that does it this way? Have the lights, have the pyro, have the wardrobe changes, have the self indulgent solos. All fine.

But why are we having it at 11PM after we've been made to sit there with our thumbs up our ass a full 2 plus hours? Seriously, what is the point?

And I don't mean the tired talking points we get about how "things work out better for me at night" and "if you don't like it, go home". I'm asking a serious question and would love a serious answer. What is the point?

i didn't argue anything but can give my opinion.

there is NO point for any of us from the old days to be disrespected by some delusional, cruel human being.

i have a kid and responsibilties.

that goes against being home at 5 am on a tuesday.

i could wish i was a rock star and could just sleep and drink and do nothing.

    in real life,hitting the stage at 11,using pyros,take long breaks,no new songs….

i have personally decided to drop Vegas.

  2. Nosaj thing is IMO mostly right about what he's pointing out.

the late starts do not fly anymore,it's very irritating and again it shows

disrespect for his fans with "normal"lives with jobs, wife etc.

nothing wrong about staying up late and do what u want.

whats wrong is having fans wait for many hours standing on their feet on cold, hard ground.

it's uncomfortable, you might end up getting too drunk on a day u're not supposed to etc.

if he wants to continue the late starts he might want to consider staying in Las Vegas on

a permanent basis.it's ok to hit the stage at 11 in vegas IMO.

it's not ok to to do it at a big show like the London 02.

  3. i think Axl,at 50 something ,is being pragmatic.

in 10 years it's over with his voice and he will not be able to tour the world twice

with nothing interesting for his fans.fans being the non-tourists and people who just wants to party.

i think this SA/Vegas tour is the last we will hear from w axl rose.

it's a scam and all about retirement money.

his point of view would be something like "in SA they don't get as many acts touring as in the states

and we can make easy money by playing there.we don't even have to rehearse cuz that audience doesn't seem

to be critical towards Axl even when he shows up unprepared.".

as for the vegas gigs, that's also easy money he doesn't have to work hard for.

it's because of the name GNR a guaranteed money maker.

he doesn't have to prepare or anything really since fans who's too young to remember

will leave happy having seen Axl Rose singing sweet child o mine live.

  4. if interviews with Axl on this DVD my guess is he will say more negative things

about the original band, criticism of anyone who dares to disagree with him etc.

i don't think he will give ANY relevant info on what we care about like

new music,CD2,new set lists ,tour dates.

Axl seems to still live in this private world where they're outta get him.

i hope sometime they will get him and confront him.

  5. i was 13 or 14 when appetite took off and obviously naive to the world.

i soon learned certain members had heroin habits.

i copied izzy, slash and Axl with everything they did,how they dressed etc.

but i did not take up heroin.

being a young guitar player mostly into keith before appetite i was impressed not so much

by the lyrics but by Slash amazing guitar work on the album.

it's tuned half a step down and this i feel made the album sound heavier than the other

bands at the time.pussy corporate rock like Poison were instructed by labels

as to how to write lyrics young people could relate to and it showed.

appetite was real and LA was a fucking jungle in that time period.

so i related more to the general fuck you attitude the band had than specific lyrics like brownstone.

  6. Axl has said so much shit that comes off bad.

didn't he disrespect Duff etc at Rio at the new band's first gig there?

that's not good.200 000 people and Axl feels the need to say negative things about

the group of people "that made him" along with Axl himself.

im sick and tired of Axl's negativity or delusions or cruelness.

ok,he's got childhood trauma, many does without calling your previous friend a "cancer"

    on the internet.

  7. these demos aren't very important to GNR history IMO.

    a footnote.

i don't think Axl should bully whoever who's dealing with his bro's suicide

and might be in fragile state of mind.

Axl has it all.money,girls,lawyers…..despite being IMO a real fucking asshole.

whatever the outcome of this,i hope Axl loses big time and that people get to know

what an unreasonable man he seems to be.

  8. the lack of quality is Axl going through the motions emotionless.

it's the guitar solos and soon that Ferrer will probably play a drum solo a la

Saga in transit to pass the time so they can say "look at GNR.they really give it all with 3 hour shows".

IMO it's all just an act and bs and conning his last remaining fans for money.

i will probably stay posting here now and again but rock n roll can apparently die.

at least Axl has killed it for GNR fans.
