I was bored and decided to give Edge of Tomorrow a chance and boy was it awesome. Seriously Tom Cruse best film since Collateral and perhaps my fav film this year(so far at least).

GnR is one of a kind.

Always felt that was a low insult, boxers tend to come from a background that isn't really a nice one.

Bono sounds amazing in this album, it's weird it's as if he's 40 rather than 50. Seriously I've said this before and I'll say it again, this album sounds similar to stuff that's on the radio(it's unique enough to distinguish, hence why the band gets my praise) but it's Bono's voice that sets it apart.
Seriously Chris Martin? That guy from the Killers? Non of them sound as good as Bono here and I'm not even gonna go into other pop acts that have no relation to the sound created by U2 here. Bono totally brought his A game here.

Every Breaking Wave, Song for Someone, Raised By Wolves, Cedarwood Road, Sleep Like A Baby Tonight, This is Where you Can Reach Me are the songs that I have in repeat. It's more than enough to call the album great imo. Seriously I have no idea why reviewers and people are hating on the album so much.

I really wish Slash would get rid of Myles. Seriously he's the weak link big time.

I have to admit tho, Sleep Like A Baby Tonight is fantastic. It's really U2 at their best.
I love it aside from that 10-second falsetto that sounds a bit odd. Other than that, yeah, it's great. Very Achtung Baby-esque.
Yeah I was thinking Zooropa but yeah Achtung also makes sense. Also that brief falsetto is weird sounding but I like his transition afterwards. Also that solo is great stuff by the Edge.

To be honest it's just refreshing to hear a good vocalist sing some good songs. I mean many band sound like this album but they have an avg. to shit singer.

I really gravitated towards Every Breaking Wave, its really awesome.

I find it funny that people bring up Kanye's attitude like if it's a bad thing, on a GnR forum of all places lol. Anyways, I just don't find rap like anything progressive but rather regressive. It's not innovative and it's just tearing down what makes music unique. Kanye in particular pretty much influence every single artist and rappers nowadays and I can't help but say it's not for the best. I guess in that respect he's a living legend, just not the one I would praise.
-
The Beatles are ok(old guy not so much) and Kanye...well...he's not good. Then again I'm not fond of rap music, always felt that genre was a joke. Kanye in particular was/is bad and it freaks me out how much people worship the guy.

I don't think any band ever can replicate a GnR song. GnR is just to badass and mean sounding to ever replicate and their epics are too over the top. Also those lyrics are either to rude or personal to ever be sung by other artist.
So every GnR song wins.

Translation: "I know I've been a loser for the past decade, but honestly it was all just me acting a part. I know I easily made myself look like a loser with guitar in hand, but like I said, it was all for the lulz"

He's as important as Duff,Slash and Axl.
-
Well at least Slash made the riff himself unlike Jimmy Page
Seriously DQ Paige. Slash FTW!!!

Junkie, smh.

Nolan without question. Begins and Dark Knight simply are great films. The last one though was just bad, I would say as bad as the older Bat films. Seriously Bane destroys the city of Gotham, yet the conflict is solved with a fist fight? And not even a good fight lol.

Now that I think of about it, it would have been awesome if Slash made a full record with Cornell. Just imagining him covering GnR-VR songs is crazy(I doubt he would make em good, GNR songs) just the thought of another great vocalist covering them is great.
-
I feel Cornell would have pushed Slash to a higher level if they had done a full collaboration, rather than just a song. Chris Cornell imo easily has the best voice(even past his prime) on that list.

On a related/ (unrelated?) note:
NSFW and Graphic
That is fucked up, wow, aren't cops trained to do something else rather than shoot? I mean, wow, seriously he didn't have a gun and 2 cops, 2!!! Decided to unload around 6 shoots.

It would have been better with him, but even greater if he and Weiland, came to terms. Weiland has a better voice than Izzy, but Izzy is a better song writer and is proven to make great work with Slash. Imo a vocalist is the ceiling of a band, the guitarist can be great (Van Halen, Slash, Page, etc.) but with a shitty vocalist, the end product will only result in mediocre music.

Ask yourself, how would she had reacted if you did the same? Seriously tho, 2 years is a lot of time, I think you should have some sort of idea if she is capable of more.
