  1. Hi Marc, I hope you are doing good, I had a few questions

1). Which was the first Guns N' Roses demo you heard and who gave you to listen to it?

2). Which and when was the first Chinese demo you heard and how did you listen to it? Axl had it in Ipod/mp3 player?

3). When you were in talking terms with Axl from 2002 to 2008, you could call Axl directly or you had to go through TB to talk to him?

4). Has Axl heard Slash's solo albums? did he talk about VR songs or other songs by Slash when he met you?

    Kindly Reply

I watch them record and help pay for their first demo which was Jungle ,Anything geos, Don't Cry and Back off Bitch Oct 1985 at the time they cost $5.00 a copy and I bought 2 copies from the studio.

The first time I heard CD demos were in the studio with Axl in the end of 2000.

I would just call the house

I'm sure Axl has heard Slash's solo records but the only one that I talked to Axl about was VR 1 which he liked but thought that it could have been produced better. I think he felt that Slash could have done better if pushed a bit harder.

Did you like early demos of the songs ?

  2. I guess Axls vision for GNR post Slash was just to experiment with sound and styles and not just rest on the hard rock that they became known for. It's really only Axl that had that vision for GNR, the different styles on the record and push for being more progressive. Nobody else cared if Nov Rain or Estranged or Breakdown were on UYI. It's a lot less epic and progressive without Axl.

Yet, ho does exact opposite relies on old material. Go figure.

  3. Whitesnake is surprisingly a decent band if we exclude hair metal period.

Yeah so many top players from so many classic bands have been in Whitesnake over the years- I wasn't suggesting Whitesnake sucks with my earlier comment, I just mean that is a really awful version of Stormbringer.

I`m not a fan of theirs either but they`re a solid Blues based Heavy Rock band especially earlier incamations with Bernie Marsden, Micky Moody, John Sykes, Adrian Vanderberg, Neil Murray, Jon Lord, Ian Paice, Cozy Powell etc.

I often make fun of so called " shit rock " but I gave them a fair listen the other day and I have to say I was surprised there is some quality stuff and intense guitar playing on old albums up untill "Slide it In". As for " Purple Album ", snippets don`t sound very promising.

  4. Lol, both are duds.

If The World contains great Axl vocals and is a really fun song. (Bucket's solo is perfect as well) I.R.S is all kinds of awesome except the chorus. Rasp in the studio version could have been so powerful in the verses, but I like his clean vocals anyway.

Awesome if you like it but I don`t it`s a cringe-inducing cheesefest Bucket`s solo is good but song itself sucks. You would expect such kind of abomination from Bon Jovi not from Axl Rose.
