Agreed. Perhaps was mixed by Joe Barresi, but everything else was mixed by Caram and it does the music no favors. I like to think they had Barresi do remixes of the other singles (HS/Absurd/TG) that they haven't released yet.

That being said I don't think Perhaps is great by any means, but I 100% agree that it's the only one that sounds like an album mix. The other singles sound like reference mixes that were mastered to brickwalled standards.

Everyone on this site needs to get a life! <3

Being discussed in the last few pages of the New Album thread (discussion starts here), but that thread is for general new music (and random) discussion and it's very likely that this new information is not related to new GN'R music, so it's better to have a separate thread for it.

So, Axl did a recording session at Metropolis studios in London last night with producer/engineer Michael Voss (apparently Voss flew to London from Germany just for that session).

A few weeks back, Voss also recorded Slash with Michael Schenker in a studio in Frankfurt. Apparently Voss is Michael Schenker's producer and the session with Slash was for the new Michael Schenker album.

    Q's roulette of the night

How will Axl sing Perhaps tonight?

Will The General make an appearance/tease?

Will Chrissie join again for BO?

Will we get a 3hr + show (GNR on 7pm apparently with curfew 11!)

    "Special night..."

    Any setlist surprises?

who is Chrissie and for BO what does that mean

Maybe it's just me or the lighting, but Axl's glasses looks pinkish.

    Literally wearing rose-tinted glasses? :D

Elton John sometimes wears pinkish glasses, maybe he's following that

The great ol Country Western John Conlee <3 Heard this song song many of nights growing up!  Rose coloured glasses are awesome, not too dark and not too light ;)  But no matter what colour glaases you wear?  They can never hide the truth!  I wear dark ones myself... Cheers

Look at the bottom of this chaper: https://www.a-4-d.com/t4937-05-june-december-1985-local-fame#26738

Robert John says Axl admitted he copied Richard Black and considered somehow crediting him.

Music is free expression, like it would be like I copied Beyances moves in a talent show, makes no sense.  But awesome old skool read, thanks for sharing!  The good OL Days...  To be a fly on the wall then!  lol ... where is the fly swatter?  kidding ;)  Music is very PERSONAL Real Estate.... Back in the day?  in Hollywood? Shit, Wild WEST !  Glad they are still alive to share their stories or even tour n fill Stadiums for some great bands....  which it took me years to learn the process, but happy they are still here to tell their story <3 #DrugsSuck #EgosSuckEvenMore

  6. LOL, love it! hehehe

The guys were pissed at Robbie for leaving them hanging, so Izzy taught me an awesome trick, which I employed relentlessly over the next decade - a free ad got placed in the Recycler, something like: "Gay Drummer Available. Into Duran Duran, Flock of Seagulls, Pet Shop Boys, Haircut One Hundred...Call Robbie before 6 a.m.," and listed Robbie's number. Classic!" [Raz Cue, "The Days of Guns, & Raz's", 2015, p. 209].

  7. Axl voice has been cyclical in the past...the builds up, blows it, builds it up again.

Sometimes I wonder if he is not waiting for it to "return" before getting in the studio to record something. Only this time, due to his age and probable lack of fitness, it's not happening as it did in 2006 and 2010. It's taking longer, or simply no happening. Just a theory.

Axl is getting older day to day

The funny thing is that these Axl worshippers get really offended like "angelsecrets" who can't stand the idea that someone criticizes their favourite singer..I myself like Axl and his voice/lyrics/stage presence etc. but I'm not completely blind what is happening here like what happened yesterday..I think it's a good thing to say when Axl has had bad performances and point out how to improve cause we all love him and wish him the best..

The concept of a fan forum is that people who -like- the band post, and that is the way it was 10-15 years ago for older posters. There were negatives, but they were sidenotes.

The band has been going for almost 30 years, they are old band. They may never release an album again, but they reserve the right to tour and tour again with the material already recorded. Many bands do it. If they release a new album, then great.

Alot of the GN'R forums have turned into Wonderland freakshows. Jarmo is battling on his forum day to day. Here, it is unreadable because posters want this person sacked, this persons leaving, this person fat, waffle abour rasp and mickey mouse? Genuinely, it is a disgrace to the bands history, and also a disgrace to how the band is represented now on the internet. Any journalist writing an article will come here and think it is fine to write a bad article because they will see the fans are not caring about the band anymore, which is untrue. The true fans just cannot be bothered posting anymore.

For me, most of the forums have become about the posters, not about the band, and it is sad to see, but what can you do

So a fan forum is supposed to only allow positive comments so journalist can come here and write good things about Guns N' Roses? Wtf?

    No, of course not.

But, if I was a casual fan of the current band, and I came here to say, hey I enjoyed a concert I went to yesterday, the posts here would put me off.

Remember, a couple of hundred post, but hundreds of thousands, millions, attend the concerts around the world. 99% of people who see GN'R do not post

Well said! On that note, I think it's time to find another place to find nicer fans. Thanks for all the updates & links.
