Not sure what you mean. If you're saying all bands treat their fans like GNR does, then I totally disagree. Even a number of the diehards here admit that GNR isn't exactly fan friendly.
I don't support what they're doing because they will alienate and lose VERY FUCKING LOYAL FANS. But that's just the reality of the situation, no?
I suppose. But it's weird with Axl cuz he never fuckin' communicates a thing. Consensus, for the most part, is that Axl has no interest in putting out new music, that he's just riding out this nostalgia thing as long as he can, which, fine, if that's what he wants to do, but let your fans know. Or if you're unsure if you want to release anything, just say that. Hardcore fans have put up with a lot of shit over the years. A number of us are finally fed up, but we (well, I) still hold out the faint hope that Axl will get his shit together in some form, regardless of evidence to the contrary. And until Axl says flat out that he's done, I'll keep hope alive. In the meantime, however, I'm not gonna pretend everything is fine and dandy.

TB/Beta don't do anything Axl doesn't approve, I think that's a given. Blaming them is laughable. Blaming anyone in this situation is laughable. Neither TB/Beta nor Axl owe anyone a song, an album, a tour, beach towels, nothing. If you wish to continue supporting the band in any way shape or form, you need to be ok with that. If not, google ''slash online'' and have a fucking field day. I heard it was his birthday yesterday

I actually think Axl is on a new stronger medication. He is way more level now. He was definitely doped up on something at Jimmy Kimmel.

Weiland's comments were originally pathetic given they were clearly nothing more than an attempt at impressing his then bandmates. They became even more pathetic when he retracted from that radical position, seemingly warming to Axl's side of the story.

I had a lot of baggage walking into my situation. I was in a band where at the end, it was pretty much three against one. And so I'm pretty sure that it felt that way to Axl as well. I have to say this, and I'm not just saying this now because of my situation I went through, but I heard a lot of great Guns n' Roses stories you guys in the press will never hear. Everyone has made Axl out to be this horrendously crazy person, this bad guy, and I don't know him very well at all. He and I for whatever reason got almost tricked into this little media spat for a moment because one of our band members happened to run into him and said that he said something. So, my point being that having been in a band with Velvet Revolver now for five and a half years, I'm not quite so sure that it was all Axl's fault.
That Scott is an odd duck.

All I know is, I know who I would rather be. Slash has a family. Axl has a legion of people paid to lick his balls including a rather demented nanny who he calls 'mother'. Slash puts out albums every 2 years. Axl is stuck in greatest hits hell.

I have a friend who's a massive fan and he would just talk and talk about GnR non-stop. So one day, in an attempt to shut him up, I told him to play me a song of the band's that I would have never heard before. He played me Coma. I was speechless. He then gave me Chinese Democracy after playing me Better, TWAT, Sorry, Prostitute. I took it home that night, tried to upload it to my iTunes but it wouldn't work for some reason. I was so pissed (cause I really wanted to listen to it) that I went and bought it in the iTunes store. Pretty much listened to CD exclusively for a good month, then went back into the GnR archives for more goodies.
This all happened within the last 3, 4 months. I'm super new

I liked Madison. Despite not always agreeing with every decision she made, I always found her to be overall pretty fair and an excellent contributor to the GNR community. What Axl did to her was a disgrace, likewise was how she was treated after it all and also the complete revisionism about her by some forummers after being publicly criticised by Axl.
If what Crash Diet says is true, that she's not interested in GNR anymore- then that is very sad indeed.
Personally, I'd like to see her back
