Hopefully, we will hear something definite about a release date.
Why go through the trouble of recording shows if you don't plan on releasing a dvd of it?
The 2001 Vegas DVD comes to mind....
-
Kinda like what Mötley Crüe did with the song Sex?
-
lol izzy
his talent is long gone
Terrible cupcake. 0/10
please mr. fanboy from netherlands, post some recent izzy songs that would prove that i'm wrong.
chop away, river, needles, like a dog, box, coke'n, partly cloudy, snafu, 117 degrees....
This interview is fake btw. Doesn't sound at all like Izzy.

Oh I can answer this Izzy suggested it in the 80's for when Axl had one of his major mood swings
-
tl;dr did he barf or not?
Maybe that's why he kept his hat on, just in case he needed it to throw up in.
He was probably feeling sick because he saw that leopard print hat clearly for the first time
-
Shackler's, Scraped, TWAT, IRS, and Better.
Also, more like Oh My God.
This plus the rest of Chinese and Silkworms.
-
When you say "Real" GN'R...are you talking about 2002 lineup?
-
I just wanna know why My World made the cut, but Just Another Sunday or Crash Diet or Ain't Going Down didn't
-
It was an attempt to use the divide-and-rule policy. Gilby was ok but not irreplaceable. Plus he was Slash's confederate and like-minded musician. Axl needed a guitarist who whould share his vision
I always got the impression Slash and Gilby got along well too. It's been documented I think that Axl felt that Slash, Matt and Duff were a close knit trio so perhaps he didn't want to add to that. Would explain trying to bring in Paul Huge as an ally.
I think Axl could have tried to get rid of Matt too, but Matt was a very good pal of Slash and Duff's, so it would be a huge scandal
Since when has Axl cared about scandals?
-
I think someone will ask Axl when they're going to go into the studio when they're done being in Guns N' Roses.
-
My World and Slash's outtro solo on Double Talkin' Jive
-
The gap between Sympathy For The Devil and Oh My God is more or less 4 years and 11 months.
The gap between Live Era and Greatest Hits is close to 4 years and 4 months.
The gap between Greatest Hits and Chinese Democracy is exactly 4 years and 8 months.
If Guns N' Roses does not release an album, or even a single until November 23rd of the current year, this will be the biggest gap of any kind of release in the History of the band (5 years).
Congratulations, Team Brazil, you made it.
Maybe the dvd will be next in your five year theory. Maybe with some bonus tunes.
Interesting theory. Wasnt there four plus years in between Appetite and Use Your Illusion.
Lies was in between Appetite and Use Your Illusion

He seems happily frustrated with GN'R at the moment. Maybe he will eventually and Buckethead can rejoin?
Buckethead will never play with Axl again. Axl was stupid enough not only to burn his bridges with Slash who is a legend and a rock icon, but also with Buckethead who's probably the most talented and prolific guitar player of the last decades. Yes, Axl is THAT stupid.
Axl really has fucked up, hasn't he?
What Axl said and what Buckethead's managers said were two totally different stories as to why Bucket left. Who knows the true reason he left....but still...a 2001 lineup reunion would be cool to see.

Ron seems pissed.
The situation is very bizarre. The band are desperate to record, the fans are desperate to hear new music... so what's stopping Axl???
Writer's block?
Lack of passion?
Laziness?
Lack of something meaningful to say/write a songabout?
Emotional exhaustion from the stress of CD?
Not wanting to relive the CD experience?
Label issues--Label not willing to fund or promote next album unless certain conditions of theirs are met, which Axl doesn't like?
Simply not giving a fuck?
Some combo of the above?
lack of demand for a nugnr album ?
Hasn't stopped Slash.
slash still has his two balls.
and two boobs
and a Myles Kennedy

I think izzy was great at GNR early stuff, and you could really see the rolling stone influences in there. However... Would Izzy be good at the songs Axl wants to write? I'm not so sure Izzy's songwriting skills would be good for a Chinese Democracy-like album.
Obviously the argument being which direction Axl should take the band in. It would be interesting to have Izzy as a songwriter though, but it would be more traditional Guns music, which is not a bad thing at all.
Like A Dog was one of the most GN'R sounding albums Izzy's done...and that's primairly because of the co-writing he did with Slash and Duff that summer for The Project. Izzy could write another rock album with Axl, but I don't think his writing style fits the style of album CD was.
-
Izzy's style of recording is different than Axl's. Izzy goes in there and gets his shit done in a few days whereas Axl could take weeks to do one song.
-
I have alot of quotes from Scott, they all start with "Hello my name is Scott, I'm an..." - then the last part varies.
-
About Axl where he called him a Wig Wearing fuck?
Anyone know why/when that was published?
That was published on www.velvetrevolver.com years ago
-
Paul Tobias has writing credits on TWAT, which is more of an accomplishment than Gilby's entire career.

They didn't even induct Gilby into the Rock Hall lmao

oh and i dont really think there was ever a serial killer obsession on axls part... if there was though, hes got way more problems than anyone ever orginally though
Let's see. He released a cover of a song written by a serial killer. He then used the Zodiac code to hide "FUCK 'EM ALL" on TSI?, who was this guy? Yep, a serial killer. He then, logged in this forum as "Dexter" (which is a fictional serial killer) in 2008.
Tell me he isn't obsessed with serial killers lol.
Let's not forget his cat named Dexter

Is this really a bad thing? I mean.....
Would GN'R would be better off releasing a single or two before recording a full length album?
in 2013

The way I see it though, if they release a single or an EP, that gives them a chance to write/record as a band, release SOMETHING as a band, and they'll have that to play into a live set so we don't get the same shows over and over and over again.
