  1. Besides myself, I know/have known two other people (in REAL LIFE A.K.A. not on the internet) that likes Chinese Democracy or at least the songs from it-any others (that liked GNR in the first place) have said something along the lines of "ïts fucking shit".

I was crapping myself with joy when I got the leaks in 06 and 08 but besides those two people nobody I played them for had a good word to say about them.

They played the title track on the major rock station here (that plays a staple diet of GNR) when CD came out and asked the listeners whether they wanted them to keep playing it/ran internet polls- I never heard it again.

  2. Tin Machine cops a lot more flak than it deserves, and mostly by people who have never even heard Tin Machine's albums.

Bowie's 2002 album (Heathen) is really fucking good too.

Storm (RIP) was the king of album covers, no question.

I thought it was Slash's fault new GNR didn't succeed?

Phew, Im glad it wasn't Axl's fault

  3. "Artists become eligible for induction 25 years after the release of their first record. Criteria include the influence and significance of the artists’ contributions to the development and perpetuation of rock and roll."

While the album itself may not have been as big as it could have been, the Chinese democracy era was a huge part of rock folklore, and will always be a huge part of GnR's legacy. I think Tommy Stinson deserved to be inducted, since he was the constant in the band for that entire debacle and has put more time into the band than Duff, Slash or Izzy did.

Tommy and Dizzy could get big "bajillion Axl points" medallions perhaps?

  4. GNR weren't inducted on the back off Chinese Democracy, and even if they were the key players from that era aren't in the band anymore either...Ashba is bad taste personified as it is and seeing/hearing him get up onstage at the RNRHOF for Guns N Roses would be taking it to another level.

And on that note Pitman prancing around the stage with a tambourine during songs is bad enough at a GNR gig, what we got at the actual RNRHOF show was probably the best thing besides the AFD or UYI lineups.

  5. Probably in the same situation as right now, possibly with somebody else instead of Ron Thal and maybe an album of CD leftovers out there for us downloading motherfuckers to actually buy (which we all would if we were given the opportunity too anyway)

  6. This thread won't end well.

Freedom fighting guerrillas, champions of teenage boys locking themselves in their rooms when told to clean up and screaming "FUCK YOU I WONT DO WHAT YOU TELL ME!"

Ironically signed to Sony Records :P

I don't mean to shit on Snake Pit's threads, but fuck god damnit I hate RATM, Korn, Rob Zombie, Limp Bizkit, SOAD and basically all that shit :bitchfight:

Axl die hards like to make out ACDC only do 1 song several different ways, RATM are actually guilty of that.

Edit: hated RATM back in 95 or whatever, hate em now- but please remember Snake Pit, DOOM LOVES YOU

  7. I sort of missed out on the later years of it, but I thoroughly enjoyed the series and movies (though the one in the snow didn't exactly feel very x-files)

The human tape/fluke worm episode sticks out
