Remember when Ron and Richard were doing an acoustic jam and DJ walked out onstage and got people to cheer for himself?
-
You know what would be fascinating reading? A list of people invited to audition for Guns who subsequently turned them down.
-
I think Ron's just trying to lay his plans out before Guns lay theirs out, a pre-emptive strike. If they have something that overlaps his plans he can turn around and say 'Nope, busy that day'.

Yeah, your Silkworms doohickey was the best I've heard yet. Background vocals in the chorus sounded real at first!
They are real. Just borrowed and rearranged bits from CD and Better, I think.
I'm not a musician or sound engineer.
You should consider to be one then. Your work is great for a "hack".
Much appreciated. I assume you are talking about the 'sound engineer' thing since I still need sticky notes to tell me what notes are what on my piano and acoustic guitar.
Evader since you are here did you remix This I Love with drums more guitars and bass throughout the whole song?
Yes. Numerous times, numerous versions.
Your version of Silkworms was brilliant to me. I loved it and would like to have an MP3 version of it.
I'll try to remember to send you a pm with a link tomorrow. Want the long intro or abbreviated?
AIO and Softie, thanks. I'll probably keep throwing shit at the wall. It can be quite entertaining at times.
Naw, I meant that when I heard it the first time I thought the vox were lifted from some leaked version of the real thing or something. Love it!

Wot's he learning Better for? A reunion?

Say, um...is he coming anywhere near Birmingham? If not I'm looking into travelling for this, should be a laugh!

Please, DJ, bring some amazing music to the next album to outweigh this stuff.
-
Had a look on Twitter at a relevant hashtag, pretty much every third tweet was doing the 'It's just his career that is dead!' joke.
There's your nuGNR for you, sadly.

Nü-metal? Seriously, no. NO.

Will actually be moved from apathy to minor irritation unless something leaks.
-
After years of hearing about these bloody mythical songs and how amazing they're supposed to be, it would be nice to actually hear them. Some kind of closure may be possible then.

Would love to hear the stuff Bucket wrote while watching porn and getting high off dog shit. Zoot said it was really good.
-
Hopefully it's not another Chrome Dreams turd.

What magisme said. I can't really give up, but I sort of recede from getting worked up about anything. If they came to my hometown I'd probably see them, and I'll be right in there if anything else leaks.
More gently saddened than upset about nonsense like the Golden Gods, Dizzy being a stuck record about the stuck record, etc...you kinda get used to it and stop explicitly hoping for signs of life, or normal fecking band activity.
But following this band basically amounts to checking this forum once a day on my phone, which isn't particularly strenuous.

I still wonder whether Axl can sing some of the cd leftovers and whether DJ can play them.
Thinking of the alleged 'high piercing screams' in The General.
-
And this is a lawsuit we know about!
-
The Guns covers make me think he's still 'in'.
-
Looks like that ol' question of 'new music and no touring ever again, or new touring and no new music ever again'.
-
Did you know there's a conspiracy theory about how Rivers Cuomo used to be some other bloke called Kurt Cobain? Amazing.
-
Silkworms was the most interesting clip for me, want it even more knowing that Pitman allegedly said there's a new version that's much better.

Interesting times considering The Darkness now have a female drummer. Just hope she wouldn't get moronic catcalls during her solo spot.
Then again, Axl could get all my favourite musicians in the band at once and I'd still prefer some new music.
