Yes please, for the laughs.

In fairness, as we weren't privy to all the conversations and discussions behind closed doors, Ron might have pushed for the shows to go ahead, with others feeling weird/bad about it.
Either way, absolute fucking credit to him.
-
Cannot believe those shows went ahead.

If everyone knew what I knew from a personal email, your eyes would explode out of their sockets and splatter against the wall. I know it all dudes - the fights, the plans, who's staying, who's going, you name it.
But I'm not going to tell you and you'll have to take my word for it. Cause I'm a fucking enigma.
P.S. CD2/Russian Intrigue is the tits. And wait while you see what Axl says about Slash on pg217 of his autobiography. Damn, now that makes sense of everything!
P.P.S. Fuck 'insiders' who won't share the info. No better than bootleg hoarders.
Last sentence is a bit ironic.

Fuck no. After all this talk about how much material there is, it'd be infuriating even to see bonus tracks on a potential album being covers.
-
Does he still list every Guns album on his website under 'Discography'?
-
Bumble.
DJ leaves and Axl sounds like 2010 again BUT never any new music again, or new music but no more live performances EVER from Axl?
-
What really bugs me is that a few years ago everyone felt 2014 would be 'right' for an album, based off what Richard etc was saying.
Sod this, gonna sit over there and wait for the new Tool album. Shit, or maybe Half-Life 3. Shit.....

Oh God, burn it onto a disc and give it to me. I don't care if they rip off Steal This Album!, I don't care if it has current members on it, just puuuutt tthhhhheee fuuucking sooooongs out there...

A little communication goes a long way. Nice interview, thanks for sharing.

Maybe Izzy will bring Down By The Ocean?
Many believe this might *be* Down By The Ocean.
Holy moly, that sounds cool as hell. I liked the polish of CD but damn, hope there's some stripped-back stuff like Going Down and this song. Sounds so organic.

The calls for Guthrie Govan - all four of them - are nice, but after his blindingly great stuff with Steven Wilson I hereby deem him too good for this band.
-
Would be lulzy if he takes CDII with him and leaks it

Well, can't say I blame him, based on what we think we know. Someone once pointed out that Guns needs him far more than he needs them, and it really resonates even now.
-
Bumped because brilliant. Stuff like this distracts from the lack of new music.

Glad everyone enjoyed it, almost feel churlish for still hoping for those 2-3 new songs. Still, would be nice if we could get confirmation they WEREN'T gonna play them.

I'll always associate Better and Catcher with summer 06, getting into the whole nuguns thing and being blown away, seeing them that summer...
...then two years later, hearing ITW and what turned out to be Prostitute in summer 08 was simply magical. And of course, finally hearing Riad studio and playing it over and over again. Happy memories.

Cannot believe 06/07 is now the subject of misty-eyed nostalgia. Fond memories of grabbing as many boots of new songs (anyone remember IRS?!) and hearing Catcher for the first time, and Better.
Damn.
Rate the first half of 2014 for GnR

Standards sufficiently lowered to make lesser-played CD songs an event in itself. Good marks for Yesterdays, but god knows a new-new song could have been interesting.
That sodding DVD abortion rearing its head. just don't bother. Nobody cares about 3D and/or concert films at the cinema anymore.
The wibbly wobbly nature of Ron leaving (or not) and the fact that getting info from this 'band' is a Herculean effort and said info nearly always turns out to be bollocks anyway.
It gets harder to support this because you can't help but hope they'll do what other bands do and follow standard models of single-album-video-tour etc., only for the last thing you expected to happen, happen. Gets to the point where you think welp, if something cool happens, then good. Otherwise, ehh.
