Seems like it was handled pretty well. If what we were told is true, rick was given $10K-$15K from TB, he violated NDA, and continued to openly brag about it. I wish him the best and have nothing against him (in fact, I quite like Rick), but no one should be surprised that he got booted.

Im a bit loss who this rick guy is and what got him booted? can someone explain please?

Here there is a review of a the show. And an short interview with the Production Manager. The guy also worked with them during the UYI Tour. I don't know if Production Manager means Tour Manager

ITs not the same, with big bands and big tours there are several people over seeing different aspects of the show

I don't know how many people are actually saying that any of these songs is The General. But 14 Years for example was originally two different songs, until they decided to mix those together. Everybody knows that The General was written by Brain, but obviously not everything about it was written by him. So when Brain had written the first rough version of the song, Axl could have decided to mix some elements of these songs into that one. Nobody knows. Not you or me. But people like to speculate. It's fun!

Your guess is probably accurate, i feel the same way!

one thing I have always wondered (because I am fascinated by the business side of music as much as music itself) is I wonder if part of the problem with the releases has been song writing credits/rights.  I have always been curious what the "nuguns" contracts looked like.  Meaning, I wonder if they had to sign a waiver saying the songs written over time would be owned by band name and label/axl or if they would still get some sort of royalty and writing credit for their part.  So say for example The General gets released and was primarily written by tommy, josh, axl, bucket, robyn, pittman and it goes to 1 and makes a substantial amount of dollars.  Yet slash records over Robyn's lead, duff records a new baseline, Frank replaces drums etc, however the song more-less remains the same.  I wonder if those old members have any legal recourse or option of royalty being a writer of the song.

As far as I know musicians get royalties for writing credits even if they dont actually record the song, there is a performance royalty aswell that musicians get for recording an album even if they havent wrote a single note. Hope that helps!
