  1. The point of all, regardless this big ass songs we are all as a fandom awaiting, be releasead in this way. I mean afterwards anybody can talk about ok I prefer robins solo I prefer slash’s I like this vocals I like the other ones… at the end of the day, it is what it is. I love this new songs or maybe just one if they are going to release it both together as a whole. What is a joke is that this shit just happened. History repeating itself for the sake of what? A better mix? That is gonna sound better for audiophiles? ok I mean…

personally these are great songs and I hope the new album includes absurd, HK, Perhaps, The General & Monsters and new never heard releases

edit: this shit meaning, an expected release and then a postpone, and to be leaked. Cmon man

I liked most of the Democracy album. TWAT and Street of Dreams are in my top ten GnR songs. I don't need to be schooled on the evolution of GnR, the Chinese Democracy era is over. It started 20 years ago, it;'s time for Axl to move on. If Absurd is the future of GnR music, I'm out. I don't want a rehash of AFD or UYI, but let's call a spade a spade, Silkworms is shit. It was shit when he played it in 2001 and it's shit 20 years later.    Stop relying on unreleased songs from a divisive era. Put out something new or call it quits, this trolling fans shit isn't funny.

Well well.. what do you say now?

Yep, the joke's on me.  I've been on this forum since it was a bulletin board, that been for almost 25 years, mate. It's the same recycled bullshit, over and over and over and over. As a fan you should demand better from this band. One album in 30 years is not good enough. Hanging on to a legacy of a flawed album is not good enough. A piss take of a song where the band is quite literally laughing at us is not good enough. The Chinese Democracy era has to end. We've been on this path since 2001 and the House of Blues show. Aren't you bored of this?

As AFD mutated into UYI, the evolution was and still is Chinese Democracy wether you like it or not. Thats still the road ahead for now. Remember Chinese was supposed to be a double album. Well this is the continuation of that with the will of Axl doing it with Slash as it was intended in the first place. Now Slash is on the same page so that is the future

You want us to appreciate Silkworms and cream our pants over it? Are you serious? A song that was shitty in 2001 and is just as, if not more shitty now. The song that was so shitty it was left off of Chinese Democracy, which was full of shitty songs.

Just because the band has given us something different, it doesn't mean it's good or welcome.

Dk where to start. But it did not got left out for being ‘shitty’ as you said. It si more complex than that. Don’t enjoy it if you don’t feel the same value for it as others but the jokes on you man.

Did you read a different board on accident? This forum has been largely positive all day.

I just visited the site finally like right now. Saw some random comments that were not appreciating it. Got anxious

  6. Omfg with you people. It’s hard rocker song, and they fucking killed it. Can you not appreciate the enormous value of playing what Axl intended. And that hasn’t changed ever. If they played this song it this is all on Axl final decision. and also the fact that makes you trip regarding the history of that song specifically for GNR as a whole. The wheels are in motion finally.

ahhh.. gotcha.. That would be amazing.. For that fact it will never happen... Out Ta Get Me was consonantly a song that this band kicked ass at and Axl sounded great on for quite awhile... Until right about the time when they rested it.. Axl kind of struggled the last few times they played it. And for that fact, if they do "Select" it, they will probably pick one of the very few performances that Axl struggled..

That it’s just amazing. Why won’t they upload some of that and 2016 material where Axl voice was on fire

Not sure what the Steven Tyler pro shots mean but pro shots with Steven would be fucking gold!!!! Preferably from the Cincinnati show...

Yeah I meant the two songs Steven Adler went up onstage to play with Guns. In Full HD, Soundboard, Pro shots. All that goodie

Why is new music a miracle? I was in Vegas for the first two proper shows of this reunion tour back in 2016. Why is it too much to expect to have heard any new music nearly 4 years later?

    Because this is GNR.
If this was 2001 you would have expect Chi Dem to a 2004 release at least. Not 2008 as it went down with all the line up changes along the way and especially with Geffen modus operandi at the time.
At least Slash is still around or there would be no more GNR if the reunion did not work out. But it most def did.
New music will come out. I am positive on it.
When? Tottally unpredictable. Can be next year, in 2 years or even 5 years from here.
In the meantime you can jump to a gig if you prefer or not.

  10. I've been reading a lot on the comments on GNR's 2020 comeback and how disappointed people are over the fact of not having anything freshly new already..

This is gonna take a lot of time, to hear new official songs from this line-up.

I think we should be grateful that at least songs like Locomotive, Dead Horse, You're Crazy are back on the setlist.

We must not expect any miracle. If not, we will definitely be disappointed..

Enjoy as it is. And if not, then don't go to the show. No one is putting a gun on your head to buy a ticket.

Express your opinion if you want of course, but be rational not just type a bunch of negative statements just for the sake of it.

  11. I do not recall the first time I heard a GNR song.. probably was one of the hits as they are well known (SCOM, Jungle..)  but honestly, the song that got me hooked to the band, that when I heard it randomly starting playing on an old cellphone I wondered what? who is this? this is GNR? and I listened to it like a dozen of times (without knowing anything about Chi Dem). And i fell for all GNR albums and material etc, the rest is history. But Prostitute caught my attention as it was a style I had never heard before. Was about 8 years ago.

I’ve been to a lot of lollapalooza’s editions here in Chile (my country), and one in Argentina, at least by my experience. The Chile version is a lot better in terms of organization, the lineups are basically the same for the three editions (the Colombia one is another festival, it has mostly the same artists that come to Lollapalooza). I’ve never bought the VIP tix, but you don’t get a better view with it, you just get stuff like merch or drinks.

Why is it that much better in terms of organization? (regarding Chile over Arg)
